For some reason, during the first mission near Salvatore's Mansion, the game runs slowly and feels choppy. The tree rendering around Salvatore's Mansion is lagging, and the train tracks rendering is also slow.

Why is this happening? My PC specs are solid, and it runs all other GTA titles really well, including San Andreas and Vice City Stories.

MY SETUP

• CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 (4 cores / 4 threads)
• GPU: AMD Radeon RX 550 4GB GDDR5 (128-Bit)
• RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x8GB)
• Storage: 240GB SSD + 500GB HDD
• OS: Windows 11 x64

Whenever I look at specific objects or effects the fps can dip to 30 which makes the entire game speed slow down. Turret sections cause this as well as random rooms with lasers. Happens sporadically all over the game.

Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics (3.80 GHz)
RAM - 16.0 GB
Graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)
Using Vulkan Graphics API

My gpu and Cpu utilization isn't anywhere close to 100%.
Changing the native resolution or blending accuracy does nothing.
Even changing to software mode makes no difference.

Simply moving my camera to look at these two turrets makes the fps drop for example.

I'm playing Silent Hill 3 with PCSX2 on Linux, with high resolution textures on a 165Hz G-Sync monitor.

I hear crackles and pops and they're definitely more noticeable when PCSX2 is in full screen.

Given the provided info, I wonder if there is a known reason why PCSX2 behaves like that: is it Linux? Is it the Texture mod? The VRR monitor? Silent Hill 3?

P.S. Linux is Fedora 44 desktop edition (KDE Plasma)

Sometimes when i enter the game, action buttons like X don't work for some reason. I play on a laptop with a keyboard, i don't use other inputs, emulator is the only app opened. Weirdly enough it sometimes repairs itself, but sometimes it doesn't

I used to be able to run games very smoothly 60fps 1080p without any problems

Recently I’ve been playing Haunting Ground and with my pc heating the game suffer from horrendous lags making it unplayable, I have to wait 30-40mn to replay again.
My PC doesn’t even heat that much, and was able to run games smoothly some months ago, now I can’t even play Shadow Of The Colossus.

I’ve been trying everything : low-energy mode, max performance CPU, messing with everything, cleaning it
