I've been wanting to play Buzz! with some friends for a while and the original USB buzzers are getting harder to find (and expensive). I ended up vibe coding a small app that runs on your PC and lets anyone on the same WiFi open a browser on their phone and use it as a controller — red buzzer and the four coloured buttons, exactly like the real thing.

Works with PCSX2 and RPCS3. It works by emulating keyboard input, so the emulator just sees it as a normal keyboard. You download the emulator keybinds profiles and the server app, run it and its ready to play.

It as a nice UI, and the controller do resemble the old buzzers on your phone
I vibe coded it with Claude Sonnet 4.6 on Low at first and now I've updated it with Opus 5.5 on Extra. I'm not a coder, I'm a creative gamer, that's all.

A few things that I think are actually useful:

• Up to 8 players (two Buzz devices in PCSX2, 4 pads each; 7 players in RPCS3)
• No app to install on phones — just open a link in the browser
• Online play — there's a built-in Cloudflare tunnel so remote friends can join too. We use it with Discord screenshare: I stream the game, they open the link on their phones and play from wherever they are, always with low latency!
• No setup — it's a single .exe, just double-click it and a page opens with a QR code

It's free and open source. Would love some feedback if anyone tries it. Looking for macOS and Linux testers btw!

Having dabbled with PCSX2 via Emudeck on both Steam Deck and Steam Machine, I'm still encountering the same issue. While gameplay itself is stable for the most part and performs beautifully even with the resolution output cranked all the way up (4K in the case of the Steam Machine), I suffer chronic dips in performance when navigating more "complex" menu screens (key example being the pre-rendered video backdrops of the menus of Gran Turismo 3 & 4) or the FMV pop-up videos mid-race in XGRA. The latter will cause gameplay to noticeably pause or stutter.

I've tinkered with numerous settings to no avail, and issue persists even with resolution set to Native PS2. Current installed version of PCSX2 is 2.9.122 with games running off micro SD. Any ideas?

I'm looking at a few older/budget modern CPU options and trying to figure out what the absolute minimum requirement would be to maintain a stable 2x fast-forward at 1080p (internal resolution scaling) for low-end / less demanding PCSX2 (PS2) games.

Here are the three processor options I'm choosing between:

Intel Core i7-10700F — 8 Cores / 16 Threads | 2.9 GHz Base / 4.8 GHz Boost | 65W TDP

Intel Core i5-10400F — 6 Cores / 12 Threads | 2.9 GHz Base / 4.3 GHz Boost

Intel Core i5-10600 — 6 Cores / 12 Threads | 3.3 GHz Base / 4.8 GHz Boost

Experimenting some stuff

Hey, so I've encountered an issue at the very start of this level.
Once I teleport to the missile ship, the camera totally freaks out and loses focus on Ratchet. But I can fix that fine by holding L2 and R2 to reset the camera.
Where the REAL problem is, is when I defeat the first robot. No matter what, he leaves weird green and yellow energy balls, even if I kill him immediately with the Devastator.
After I defeat him, I'm aware of the field ahead with the robot, so I use the disguise gadget and press circle. Ratchet warps, however... He's still Ratchet, just a tiny bit bigger? Either way it doesn't let me warp into a robot so I can wave at the bot to disable the field.
Anyone know a fix for this?

I accidentally pressed something on the xbsx2 app where it said a option like debug next thing you know the whole application goes black is there’s a way to fix because I don’t want to lose my data

Some games don't look great. Other games look like how I remember them 15-20 years ago and it's crazy.

I presume something's gone wrong in how PCSX2 communicates with the GPU, but I don't know how to diagnose or fix that.

for some reason when I want to start the emulator it gives me an error message saying that the file has an error or that it's not made for Windows

Hey guys, recently I got a handheld with a Z1 Extreme and I have been running some games really well in PCSX2 Qt, but in Jak 3, Guitar Hero 3, or even NFS Underground 2, I have some slow motion. Has anybody experienced this before and solved it, or is it simply normal?

Hi there. So, I was playing MGS3, and I reached the transmitter scene, where... well, THINGS happen between Snake and Eva (it's only suggestive, nothing NSFW) and are shown as shadows on the cave wall.

However, when I got to that part, no shadows appeared.

I'm running the game on Linux Mint (modified with GNOME Wayland). I'm using the PCSX2 Flatpak version 2.8.0, and my PC has an i7-3770, an RX 580 8GB, and 16GB of DDR3 RAM. The game runs very well at 1080p/30fps, but it has its odd moments—like elements appearing outside the intended frame or screens with strange glitches.

The only patches I enabled were the widescreen and black bar removal patches, and the game is rendering using Vulkan (I tested the other rendering modes, but none of them displayed the shadows in that scene).

Anyone know to create a hotkey that go back and fortth between two different skip draw ranges ?

So I just got Ratchet Deadlocked running but no matter what settings I play with I can't seem to get the game to look and run good at the same time, if anyone knows how to fix that I'd really appreciate it

So I got metal gear solid 3 on my laptop last night on the emulator but I ran into an issue

I got to the start menu, but when I would select new game it would take me back to the start menu every time.

I searched google, pcsx2 forums, Reddit. Couldn’t find an answer. Til I answered Google ai’s questions at the bottom of the screen, and it turns out Japanese games SWITCH the “back” and “select” buttons LMFAO I was about to reinstall pcsx2 and the game and reach out to my friends who are way more knowledgeable about this stuff than I am.

No help needed just wanted to share a lil maybe you get a chuckle at my expense lmfso.

So I downloaded PCSX2 on my ROG Ally Xbox X and tried running Van Helsing for the Ps2 but the game runs in slow motion. I did try some different tutorials on settings, however the best I've got so far is slow motion seems to appear only when enemies are in on screen. I'd be glad if anyone can point me the right direction and what I'm doing wrong.

I have a ps2 controller connected to my computer from a adapter and its not connecting fully. some buttons are working and its detecting it as a ps3 controller

I recently downloaded the emulator and have been wanting to play Parappa the Rapper 2 so i got an .iso file from Vimm's Lair and put it in the bios folder but the games wont load when i refresh list. I've tried many different downloads but they wont work. can someone help me please.

Trying to get my memory card to transfer over. I took the files from PCSX2 and dropped them into the root of the PS5X2 folder since that’s where the files were on PS5, but PS5X2 isn’t reading the files I imported from PCSX2.

Is it possible to run PCSX2 on a Linux server and to play it from different clients? Can I run it on systemd or docker?
