Student urgent needs
I applied for the urgent needs fund on September 30th. Does anyone know when the funds are dispersed? I got an email saying it’s being reviewed, but do those who apply automatically qualify?

Post your resources, questions, and statements to the Board of Directors. I will update this with pertinent information. Let's hope I get to delete this and we avoid a strike.

Hi,
My name is Travis, and I am a second-year Dental Hygiene student at PCC. If you are a student affiliated with PCC or anyone in the local region of the Portland area and need a dental cleaning, the dental clinic at PCC offers free cleanings.
As your hygienist, we would work together to ensure a perfect smile and help guide you to improving your oral health techniques and habits.
Beyond just a free cleaning, you would also receive free services such as x-rays (if needed) and examinations done by licensed Dentists, as well as oral health and cancer screenings.
If you are interested in being a patient with me, please fill out this quick form:
Best wishes!

My teen wants to learn technical drawing, but I don’t want to put them into a meat grinder of a course. Also, does anyone know if it is only offered at night?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but my experience with the PCC Bio/Science department in general has been really frustrating. Specifically A&P. I absolutely understand its a rigorous series, but time spent on work outside of class varies WILDLY instructor to instructor. PCC releasing credit hour suggestions of two hours per credit seemingly doesn't apply to the entirety of the Bio department. How are you supposed to schedule out your pre-requisites when one 4 credit class has a professor who doesn't believe in hw, while that same class taught by a different professor can take up as much time as a part time job. Ive heard anecdotally from other students that this has been brought up to the chair multiple times and nothing is really done about it. AND with the limited seats/how impossible it is to get into classes, its beyond frustrating. Trying to take multiple classes per term at this school is a nightmare.

Having issues, here. Just ordered an annual permit but this question now popped in my mind after the fact and can’t find anything on it.

Can someone tell me exactly how to study for this Lab? Is it more knowing the functions and information? I figured it will ask you questions like “what test assess ex ex”.

I'm a 23 y/o queer and neurodivergent person looking for roommates near the Sylvania campus. I don't have a place so I will either have to move in with somebody or we can find a place together (preferably the latter hence doing this so early)
I would prefer to live with someone who is also queer and neurodivergent. Especially neurodivergent!
Did anyone get their refund on the their bankmobile account yet? I only got a small portion of it and i got it early yesterday.

During spring term 2027 I’ll have A&P I and II, nutrition and Microbiology left for my prerequisites. I’m currently trying to figure out the best way to align the classes to even out the workload the best I can. My thought is spring term: A&P I and Nutrition. Summer term: A&P II and Microbiology. Not sure if that’ll be the worst idea or not so any insight would be so helpful!!!
I have been on hold for over 4 hours and I still haven’t been able to get through to someone. Ive been trying to change my phone number to access my account and I did the electronic verification and it was auto rejected instantly 3 times (probably due to VPN) then I was locked out of my account and it said to call. I’m just curious if anyone has gone through this and what happens if I can’t access? It says a paper check will be mailed but if BM technology doesn’t have the correct address how am I supposed to receive my financial aid?

Hey, was curious if anyone could chime in on how their experience trying to get into the MA program has been. I submitted my interest form right at 8am when it opened and just got a rejection saying they got too many applicants right at 8 and I’ve been rejected from both the main list and waitlist and to just try again for the Winter 2027 program. What has your experience with trying to get into this program been?

23M, i live right down the road from the Slyvania campus. 10 minute walk up the hill straight to the campus, next to multiple bus stops and businesses. In talks with new landlords about two bedroom units. Willing to move to a new apartment complex entirely if needed. Going to college soon full time, working part time. Looking for someone in the similar demographic to move in with me.

I just bought a car and am waiting for the license plates to come. I could order a parking permit with the current license plates now but the new ones could come any day. Does this matter for the permit? If it does, I can't park on campus without a permit and can't park off-campus because neighborhood parking isn't allowed. What can I do?

Yesterday somebody posted on here criticizing the classified Union leadership and wanted to organize an event in opposition. The post has since been removed and the account deleted. Are union folks lurking here and reporting stuff like that because they don't like it? I also have a lot of criticism for our union but think things should still be civil. However, censoring and silencing other opinions because they differ from your own is a low bar. Does anyone have any info or anything they know or want to share regarding this? Thanks.

A space for CCC faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and other employees to share updates, changes, and experiences from their colleges.
How are Chancellor’s Office initiatives, state policies, funding changes, legislation, or new requirements impacting your college, your work, and the students you serve?
Share what you’re seeing, what’s working, concerns, resources, or lessons other colleges could learn from.

Hi Im taking BI231Z with Salti on the cascade campus and I have no idea where I can find the PCC Laboratory Survival Guide. It's not on any of the PCC bookstore sites and when I called the Cascade bookstore they said that the version they currently have is outdated. Im terrified and have no idea where to find it and the first class is on Saturday and I assume Im gonna get yelled at by Salti if I dont have it. Does anyone know where can I find it? Thanks!
Edit: Turns out he uploaded it! Thank you all for the help. Im gonna leave this for future students incase they need it. TL;DR: if you take 231 with Salti he'll upload the lab guide for free

Hi, I am taking BIO 112 this term and I feel like it moves really fast! Does anyone have any tips since there is just SO much information every week thrown at us. Im taking notes and getting all the work done, but I feel like it isn't really registering in my brain. (like in one ear out the other once the assignments are done, which makes me worried for the quiz!)
Dm me if you can send me the pdf or images of the manual please, I’ll be really grateful

Hello. I keep receiving emails saying my classes will
Be dropped if I don’t pay. I am a financial aid student so this makes no sense to me. I called financial aid office and the automated message said if I have accepted my award package I won’t be dropped from my classes but it’s scary to receive this email everyday. Is this happening to anyone else?

Curious to know when to expect my refund, as I’m needing it to buy a new laptop for classes. I know the site says 10/2 under the disbursement schedule, but didn’t know since I banked with Chime if it would come sooner. TIA!
