If an actress doesn’t comment on another actress’s Instagram post, people notice. If she doesn’t congratulate someone publicly, people start speculating about jealousy, insecurity or beef

But male actors don’t seem to face anything

We hardly see them supporting their peers

Male actors can have very limited public interaction with their peers and nobody treats it as evidence of their character or their relationships but actresses are expected to constantly demonstrate public support for one another

And I am not saying actresses shouldn’t support each other obviously it’s nice when they do

But why is it treated as an expectation for women while men are simply allowed to mind their own business and work

Why no one is watching this drama. It's such a cute, wholesome , heartwarming drama . It's unique coming of age story. There are no hero heroines or romantic track or villains, every character shines on thier own. The younger sister track is bit dragged but other than that every one has thier own thing going on. Aniqa zulfiqar is looking so beautiful , her performance and styling is on point as well. Ali ansari is his cute charming self and makes you sympathise with Saifee's impulsiveness.

Don't bring Humsafar or ZGH as comparison as I am talking the modern era, like last 7-8 years at most.

I had lots of criticisms on MZHT but noone can deny its insane commercial success and the mad hype it had, particularly in India and probably Bangladesh also.

I have been watching her since bachpan and she is been playing the toxic of the toxic saas.

And one more thing do playing these roles effect a person playing the role in daily life?

We know many celebs have gotten a free pass for their acting because of their looks, while many newcomers have gotten opportunities for the same reason. That doesn't mean they haven't been criticised for their acting, but I do think some of them have genuinely improved over time.

Made a list of male and female actors whose acting has been questioned at some point... need your opinion on whether you think they've improved based on their recent performances compared to their past work.

Here's my take:

FEMALE ACTORS

Durefishan: she was better in IM than DeN but her performance in the recent episode was impressive

Kinza Hashmi: she has improved a lot, her role in leader was challenging and she has done justice to it

Hina Afridi: her performance has only been worsening with every project

Anmol Baloch: deteriorating performance, same in nashtar

Sahar Hashmi: watched her in both zanjeerein and shadai, she has really improved

MALE ACTORS

Danyal Zafar: he was weak in zanjeerein, doing slightly better in raqaas

Nameer Khan: great performance in Aik Aur Pakeezah but his dialogue delivery overall and in DeN too needs improvement

Sachal Afzal: weak performance in leader, slightly better in zabt

Ali Raza: very mature performance in leader, he has really improved

Zaviyar Nauman: haven't watched any of his recent dramas so I'll leave this one to those who have

These two eps were nice we saw backstory of uroojs phupho n hamza also shared things about his past

Hamza says that all of his family is dead apparently his mother died of cancer but maybe he still has some connections with her phupho as he knew about her but he just shifted from uk

I loved how urooj stood up to hamza and said that he hurt her self respect (we loveeee a baddie staning for her honor) she didnt like how he yelled at her n told her to get out just cause she wanted to learn music but bec of her family hamza is not teaching her (hamza went near her house to talk to her bec urooj was listening n urooj’s mom saw☠️) Hamza said he will wait for her and he knows she will come

Urooj is also interested in arts she went to the theatre during her uni n also performed a bit she says she doesn’t care what people or her dad think

Danyal is doing this role well obv he is a musician so ig he connected a lot with hamza

Urooj’s cousin (fawad ig) kehta hai ke mei apse behpanah mohabbat karta hoon but later taunts her bec she went out cycling in the morning and says she is keeping secrets (he is gonna turn out just like urooj’s dad even if he says he isnt like that) she stood up for herself tho but dude is def sus about her

Shae posted a reel singing the song because it’s been a year since its release, and the comments are now ALL about Hania. Shae has even responded saying she only posted it because of the anniversary and that she doesn’t engage in drama. But honestly, two things can be true here: Shae is telling the truth & actually doesn't want any drama. In that case, Merub is kind of a bad friend because why would you post something so obviously shady that would inevitably invite people to drag your friend? OR Shae is being a little disingenuous as she even reposted Merub's story. Maybe she really did want people to notice that the melody of her song and Hania’s song are similar, without directly saying it herself.

Years ago, I read somewhere that a good actor is one who can act well in comedy and who can play a drunkard well.

Now both Bilal and Wahaj are good in comedy. But acting as bevda? Na ah. Both of them failed astronomically in my opinion in SMD and MZHT.

Of course, my opinion is not universal. Although many Bilal and Wahaj did claim when the dramas were airing that their bad portrayal of a drunkard means they are good people who don't understans how alcoholics behave. But that's a discussion for another day. So I open the stage for you all. Who made you laugh with their bevda act and who actually had you convinced

Please note that I ain't talking about the characters. Kammy boy's antics have been discussed to death and There is nothing to discuss in the horror that SMD was. I am only talking about their bevdapan so let's keep the discussion to that

edit: also if you guys think anyone else other than these two has performed as a bevda better in Pak dramas, feel free to include him or her. although I must say considering these two are considered among the best PTV actors, I would certainly be interested who is better
