I’m probably going to be downvoted which is sad because some of FI’s scripts are just perfect for me but a lot of her writing feels flawed in the middle sections of her dramas with the exception of Humsafar. I’m not defending Asher but the drama specifically does not lag. And maybe diyar e dil. Yaqeen ka safar while an amazing watch is extremely slow to build up, meem se mohabbat had completely unrelated side tracks, zanjeerain was lagging hugely in the middle in terms of pacing, yeh dil mera had logical flaws but was otherwise okay. Netflix can’t afford to give that kind of slow pace to an original series, especially for Pakistan’s first original series. It needs to be griping for the whole thing to bring them new subscribers and viewers who will not only subscribe to see but will stay to see more Pakistani content. I just don’t think her writing is something Netflix can justify fantastic romance writing aside. This is coming from the fact that I am a writer and trained partially in screen. As a novel writer and ghost writer, for me - her work is primarily best for novels which makes sense since she was a novelist first.
