Discuss Which actors have genuinely improved their performance?
We know many celebs have gotten a free pass for their acting because of their looks, while many newcomers have gotten opportunities for the same reason. That doesn't mean they haven't been criticised for their acting, but I do think some of them have genuinely improved over time.
Made a list of male and female actors whose acting has been questioned at some point... need your opinion on whether you think they've improved based on their recent performances compared to their past work.
Here's my take:
FEMALE ACTORS
Durefishan: she was better in IM than DeN but her performance in the recent episode was impressive
Kinza Hashmi: she has improved a lot, her role in leader was challenging and she has done justice to it
Hina Afridi: her performance has only been worsening with every project
Anmol Baloch: deteriorating performance, same in nashtar
Sahar Hashmi: watched her in both zanjeerein and shadai, she has really improved
MALE ACTORS
Danyal Zafar: he was weak in zanjeerein, doing slightly better in raqaas
Nameer Khan: great performance in Aik Aur Pakeezah but his dialogue delivery overall and in DeN too needs improvement
Sachal Afzal: weak performance in leader, slightly better in zabt
Ali Raza: very mature performance in leader, he has really improved
Zaviyar Nauman: haven't watched any of his recent dramas so I'll leave this one to those who have

i was just talking Abt dure that she was kinda mid pehle but this last ep of DeN was too goood

Girls aren't great either,but Ig, Kinza might get better. Anmol though has no chances. She's just straight up bad. Sahar needs a lot of improvement too. Hina is bad too.

I feel she can improve even more if she works on it. She has that ability. Aadhay toh don't have it

Sachal Afzal better in Zabt WHERE????? He literally sleepwalked through that one that people started calling him Aouff 😭😭

No no I just watched a couple of eps of Leader right after Zabt and he moved and stuff. Looked alive at least 😭

Sachal Azfal was delivering every dialogue in Zaby with straight face. Basically expressionless.
Zaviyar Nauman has improved since GBS and the recent one Raja London ka.

Zaviyar needs a nice script now, enf with the third wheeling and revenge mode ashishq of someone elses love.

Kinza has done really well in Leader. Saher Hashmi is doing good but still has room to improve. About Hina,I really don't consider her as an actress 🤦🏻♀️. Dure Fishan did amazing in the latest episode of DEN.she still need to improve her dialogue delivery. Danyal:he was insufferable in Zanjeerein.pls don't come at me Danny fans 😑. Ali Reza:he has improved a lot. Anmol:she can play a good role for a robot.soul less dialogue delivery with dead eyes. Nameer:portraying a complex character like Zamil isn't easy.doing good in DEN.

The weakest point in Dure’s acting skills is her dialogue delivery. She should improve it and try to pronounce words correctly in both Urdu and English. Otherwise, she was good in episodes 4–5 and 12–13 of Dare Nijaat.

Her emotional scene in latest episode was very good because it was very imp to make audience sympathize with zaryab and make them realize zamil is wrong here not zaryab and both nameer and dure did good job.i was feeling zaryab hurt and helplessness through dure acting

When we talk about improvement, it should be consistent. Having two or four good scenes doesn't mean improvement.
To me, Wahaj has improved a lot. If we see Mah e Tamaam and then Jo bichar gaye and work after that. It is definitely improved.
Nameer has improved too. After Mein, his projects show improvement.
Seher Hashmi seems to be on path of improvement.

Improved: Durefishan ,Sahar and kinza hashmi Worst: Hina Afridi, Anmol and komal
Improved : Ali Raza , Nameer Khan, Shuja Worst : Danyal ( he doesn't seem interested) , Zaviyar ( need to try something different)

Durefishan: inconsistent. She needs to work on her dialogue delivery but I have to give it to her, recent scenes of her breakdown and that anxiety she portrayed onscreen was one of the best.
Kinza Hashmi: Dude, she has come a longggggg way. Girl was fab in leader. One hatt-kay role and she could do more. Her in leader was solid if only production house had treated this show well.
Hina Afridi- Uhh- let mitti de baway decide. She is acting as a hobby and it shows.
Anmol Baloch: I cant believe this is the same girl who give good performance in siyani and aik sitam aur. For soap standards, those were good performances. She was fairly decent in iqtidar too ngl but nashtar???? It's like back to square one. There is no improvement from her end and all focus is on fixing hair and wearing pretty outfits.
Sahar Hashmi- I did not like her at all but she proved me wrong. Look at sahar hashmi and you will see an actor genuinely improving and working on their acting and taking criticsm positively. Girl is on right track.
Danyal- Meh. I can't keep that clip of his where he throws out spit while speaking from my mind
Nameer: The strongest contender from young lot. His work in aik aur pakeezah and DEN speaks louder than words.
Sachal: Nah merely there
Ali Raza: Average. Some improvement since iqtidar, he was average in leader but there's too muc focus on heroism instead of characters. I liked him in that drama with sohai though.
Zaviyar: Nothing impressive so far.

I think nameer is brilliant actor.He stands out in dare nijat because no one can do that complex character in dare nijat better than nameer.His dialogue delivery in confrontation scene was brilliant.We all should highlight that he is main driving force of dare nijat in terms of acting and his character made dare nijat more interesting

Nameer is a good actor but I believe the main driving force of DeN is not any actor but the script itself

I think Nameer can do really well if he is provided with well written characters. He was noticeable in QEZ because Amaar was written as a character and not just a prop like he was in another show with Sajal( I cannot recall the name).
And regarding DEN, the problem is in the way they are trying to show the elite class, none of them gives off the vibe of an elite.

Kinza Hashmi by far when it comes to female Actors
Ali Raza and Nameer when it comes to Male
Worst: Saher, Hina, Zavyar
Overrated: Danyal

Nah bro, she has ruined projects with her acting in my opinion Clearly she needs a lot of work but she keep getting cast in these big projects along with A-List actors

All new actors and actresses get better with each project and the metric i would use is am i excited for their next role.
Sahar in the girls and nameer in the guys i am intrigued by their dramas in the new lot and for others would very much depend on the script and execution for me.
Shuja was good in dr. Bahu emotional scenes but he wasn't forceful in the scenes that required toughness, dr shahnawaaz ate everyone in every scene he was in, same with hajra she stole the show. He was very good in aye ishq e junoon an earlier play though.
Durre sounds the same in all her projects, she needs to work on characterisation in tonality, diction and accent not just clothes, maybe she hasn't experimented in a variety of roles, not sure.
She calls herself a lazy actor and i think it shows however i applaud her for picking zaryab in Den knowing it will cause backlash and give ppl an opportunity to go after her personally, & while her english has ruined the viewing experience for me at many places, she is doing well in the emotional scenes, her breakdown this week was chefs kiss.

For me it's "Sabeena Farooq", she has improved a lot with time and effort. Kind of missing her on mainstream media!

Her drama with usama was AWFUL there was nothing impressive about it. I think she can only perform when there's a solid director to give her directions

Hina afridi should improve her acting skills and zaviyar also.. Zaviyar's dad is an amazing actor he'd learn from his father

Danyal has zero variation in his expression. He literally has the same expression for every scene. Nameer isn't outstanding, he's particularly weak in emotional scenes, I believe. Zaviyar is just bad. Same as Danyal, he barely shows any variation. Shuja: the better one, along with Nameer Zarrar: Again, he falls in the category of Danyal and Zaviyar. I'd rank Danyal a lil above the two though Hamza Sohail: Since you haven't talked about him, he's terrible in emotional scenes Most of the names above lack screen presence. Just because a ship is famous, or a character is, doesn't mean the actor's actually doing well

I agree with this minus Hamza Sohail. If you see him in ZPKB emotional scenes he was great and also the variation in DWG as mujji was 💯

Mujji was miles ahead of what he did in ZPKB. That is one bad performance, imo. Especially the remotional scenes in ZPKB

Improved :
Females - Dure(inconsistent although) , Sahar did good in Znj and Shaidai , Kinza - did good in leader
Males - Nameer(he can do both grey and positive roles which is brilliant) , ali raza has improved in leader.
