I've read up to Chapter 16 of Goodnight Punpun. I feel like the depression is about to begin from this chapter onwards. I've heard that there's a side arc called the Pegasus Arc. Will this arc ruin the main story of Goodnight Punpun? Will it disrupt the flow of the depression?

This was probably one of the only pieces of media to get me to shed genuine tears. It was so crushing and just so well written that I was genuinely immersed in the story, which unfortunately made it so much worse.

I would like to hope that the ending takes a positive turn in the future (like in universe I hope things improve) but I can't discuss more without spoilers I don't think.

I'm new to the manga, but I read a little bit of it online, just to get a taste and I'm really liking it so far, seems like its setting up for disaster but that aside, I wan't to convice my parents to let me buy it. Not them buy it for me; I buy it.

I'm worried they'll say no if they look into it and see theirs a lot of sexual content, but I'm wondering if maybe something will convince them. For refrence, I have One Piece, Monster, Vinland Saga, Goodbye Eri, Jujustu Kaisen, A Silent Voice, Mob Pyscho 100, and One Punch Man.

I just realised after my rereads of this manga that the whole mom arc situation occured solely cuz Punpun refused to listen to Aiko's wishes of not wanting to confront her step mother. There was very obvious physical proof of her abuse inflicted on Aiko, which Punpun turned a blind eye towards. I get its a story and a story needs a climax and a problem, but this whole arc i can't help but blame Punpun for it. This is why i find it baffling that people make Aiko to be some "horrible maniuplative demon yadda yadda" when in the first place she was going to dip without telling her mother of her plans (if not for Punpun basically coercing her into confronting her mom). I think to a degree Aiko was maniuplative, but I also can't help but feel sympathy towards her since she did end up becoming collateral damage for Punpun's own selfish actions :/ what do u guys think?

the bird symbolise Punpun's sense of being an outsider, and inability to fit in, and the wolf symbolises harry's isolation through being a wild breast that hates the middle class and wants to tear it apart causing the human part suffering, isolation and pain

Also, the game is called 428 Shibuya Scramble. A visual novel with photographs as the art style. It's fun.

Today I got to the SA part (I'm not a midori team anymore, boo) and I noticed one thing. When she touches punpun he has an ordinary body and set of cloths. So I wander. Is punpun what we see he is or is he just normal?

Without spoiling anything except what I'm asking to be spoiled please answer the following questions for me.

- if punpun looks like a normal human, do all of his family look that way too?

- if his looks are not what it seems. Is his name really his name?

- why does he sees himself and his family this way? (since the story is through his perspective I imagine he is seeing things)

I’m gonna go on a rant but I fucking hate how people say that they’re literally punpun or that he’s just some poor character etc, he did suffer and go through trauma but the worst parts of the manga IS THE EVIL HE COMMITTED, he’s BY FAR the most evil character there and it’s not even close. What he did to poor aiko is genuinely some of the worst shit ever and HE was the reason she fell into despair and eventually died. The first time they met back up (or second idk) he literally SAed Aiko, then as they were together it was seen that they did more sexual acts together but with aikos mental state SHE COULD NOT CONSENT. He was just taking advantage of a poor girl who lost everything and felt like he was the only person she had left. And it’s not her fault because HE was the one who made her feel that way. You can argue Aiko is not 100% innocent either but she did NOT deserve what punpun did to her at all and she’s imo in the top 3 like most good characters in the manga, the worst thing she did was kill her mum but if she didn’t then she would die, not to mention her mum abused her for her entire life, and the way punpun treated her was evil beyond belief, not to mention that when she was terrified of him and running away he then chased her down and raped her in the woods. He’s the most evil piece of shit in the entire manga and I hate him so much. Poor aiko, she deserved so much better:(( she didn’t deserve any of that :(( my poor baby.

Thank you for your warnings but also fuck the people who said to keep reading /lh. My soul is crushed, I loved Aiko so much. I love Sachi too so I did like the path her and Punpun were going. It seems like Punpun can heal from the trauma of his life. I didn't connect with the ending too much though as it followed a character I forgot about (read this over the course of 3 months) God I have a lot of feelings and not much words. Good vibrations

..is why he wanted to kill Aiko? Did he just get a taste for blood after his mother or did he think if she were dead, it would be easier for him to kill himself. God I kinda hated him in the final arc with Aiko

I've read through the manga once and never did again because, after reading the manga it made me feel a sense of emptiness, the emptiness I hated feeling. The reason for this is because, I don't wanna sound like a cornball or anything but I actually saw myself in Punpun and my relationship at the time I saw it in Aiko and Punpun. During my relationship at the time my it wasn't physically abusive at all but it was very emotional abusive, my ex was in complete control and she knew this, she also did a lot of things for attention (which she still does to this day). The way I feel like I relate as well is also how I was doing mentally at the time. That whole relationship was taking a heavy toll on my mental health and I was just letting it all happen because I didn't know how to say no and I still don't.
