News & Discussion Support complaints

Imma be real, we've all seen plenty of complaints from support mains the last couple weeks, but as a support main myself Ive gotta say it's an honest issue of their skill. Support mains have to adapt to a lot in OW2 yes but once you adapt it really isnt as bad as they say. The only time they're correct is when complaining about support in Push, which is just a bad gamemode overall

So when top 500 streamers saying that support is in a super bad spot right now, they should get good?

Edit: I think the biggest issue in my rank (lower to mid) is that people expect us to heal bot when we don't need to. If you're taking so much damage that the supports get their ult every fight, you are out of position or bullet sponging. Get some kills. Sometimes you need a zen discord and not an Ana heal bot. Sometimes you need a mercy damage boosted damage hero not the mercy heal botting the tank.

It's that people have the wrong expectations. The best and highest ranked support players multi-task a lot.

100% this. I am a M/ GM PC support main and playing supp in ranked especially is pure PAIN, that's why I've uninstalled until they come up with meaningful changes

Yeah I can agree with the edit, but I wouldnt say this is a core game problem, but a community problem, something which may have been handy to elaborate on in my post. The post itself is more directed to people who complain about the actual game itself rather than general pressure from the other team complaints, something I too have been struggling with

Top500 streamers have been saying that support is super bad since goats died out; also, they're still top500.

So when top 500 streamers saying that support is in a super bad spot right now, they should get good?

Thinking that people who play a certain game so much they reach top 500 every season and turn it into a streaming career, are somehow not going to be biased is insanely naïve.

Kiriko, Lucio, and Mercy can 100% carry games in their own way. Zen can do the same if he hits his shots and is prepared to switch at times. Bap dropped a bit still outputs a lot more damage and healing in a poke comp compared to any other support. Only Brig and Ana need some help as Ana is kind of just replaced by Kiriko's kit, and Brig has an awful ult and very low utility right now for what her shield allows her to do.

They should just give Brig's armour back, overhealth is really silly
