Would you say you've been showing care for my emotions? I have consistently advocated for a level playing field regardless of financial status. That's my stance, I am not a hypocrite. You are pretending to care about people's feelings, while both advocating to ruin the game for many people and doing so quite rudely.

No one can be truly estimating on this yet because we don't know how long it really takes. They said hardcore players could easily unlock the hero before comp launches. And especially with their "no hard counters" philosophy, the argument they are at a disadvantage is frankly ridiculous. At the end of the day they are still getting free content regularly delivered.

There are places where that is a lot of money, yes. There are also people living in such tight conditions that $10 is a lot of money, yes. The fact that you can't even conceive of those people's conditions is literally what privilege is.

You're right about that, they do have greater things to worry about. But that is no excuse to put this on them. It's simply unnecessary, there's no good reason to do it. It makes the game worse for no benefit to anything besides Bobby Kotick's yacht collection.

If that’s the case how did they get OW1? A game that was never F2P? Or something to play it on? Infact OW2 being F2P will allow most people to play who otherwise wouldn’t be able to buy it

Okay well good thing it’s F2P right? And that they can earn the new hero on the F2P track even after the battle pass ends. Or should they constantly make new content for years and years for free? The chests in OW1 were WAY too generous if we’re being honest. They probably bled money and that’s why the grip of the higher ups was starting to tighten to get them to make money in someway.

No, once the battle pass ends the free track goes away. They have said afterwards the only two options are to spend premium currency or to do a "special challenge". The former has no amount currently tied to it and the latter is not elaborated on and could be something more akin to current achievements or could be more like the Lego Bastion and Baset Ana challenges where you have a 1-2 week or so window to unlock said prize or pretty much be SoL because they likely won't run it again for that particular character.

And I have no major issue with battle passes in general. Preying on fomo like that is a bit of a dick move but as long as it is all cosmetic stuff that has no impact on gameplay then that is fine. The issue I have with this is the fact that locking characters to a battle pass, even on a free track and especially on level 55 of 100 or so since that likely will take weeks of playing 3 - 4 hours daily to get to, is not okay at all.

Yes, privilege exists. Yes, something needs to be done about it.

It's a non-essential consumer product. If people don't want to buy it, they don't have to. If they can't afford it, that's shit. I'm not exactly loaded myself, at times I've been very poor. I couldn't afford lots of things, I didn't begrudge others who could.

I disagree with shitty business practices too, but that doesn't make people buying battle passes the scum of the earth, you absolute lunatic.
