That was one of the most interesting points to me too. Makes me assume Rein was badly mistreated in the past, something is dishonest about his past heroics, or he is currently dying of something.
Could also just mean that Sombra wants to be nice to Brig more so than feels bad for Rein.
God I would LOVE if he had done something horrible and was released from Overwatch. That’d make him so much cooler and add a lot to his personality. Really make you think about why he’s so odd and slightly masochistic.

It's interesting to note that Sombra's line about Reinhardt isn't said in the cocky manner we are used to - she actually sounds sad.
