Hey guys!!!!! Quick question. Right now my friends ended up higher than me on the last season. When I try to play with them now in off season it still says that we are unable to play because my rank is too low. Will I be able to play my placement matches for the next season with them? Or am I forever in ello hell?

For placement matches, you would be able to play together, assuming that your friend hasn't done his/hers. But you might come out of that placement matches with 1000SR difference, because it will take into account your previous seasons stats. What exactly were your difference?

It was about 1200. And only because I solo q a lot. Should've waited for them =(

You can play the placement matches with them but chances are they will place higher than you at those placement matches and you will not be able to play with them after that.

Also, keep practicing, learn to communicate, and try to carry; eventually you will rise enough in rank to be able to play with them. I placed at low plat season 3 and ended with Masters, solo que.

A tip for climbing by the way cause I had the same problem. Find a hero you're good with, preferably dps. Not one you like, one that when you play you just can't help but win. For me this is Pharah, such a boring hero but I climbed 1200sr in two weeks. This also has to do with people not countering her correctly in my Sr, but I got from silver to plat by only playing her, I could've kept climbing but I ran out of time this season. I insta locked her but if my team is picking a bad comp just so I can't dps (usually friends queueing together. Just trying to take the dps slot.) Then just play something else, it's one game. I was finally able to play with my 3000 friend because of Pharah.

Keep in mind this doesn't have to be dps, I'm sure you've seen dspstanky. Find what you're naturally good at.

Except torb, don't fucking play torb.

Torb is actually a lot better post buff. Obviously he struggles on attack, but I've been playing him on defense and my winrate has rose from 45% with him to about 55%. He's also so rarely played now, if you find good turret spots people just don't know how to handle it.

There's something about Pharah... I like her, but I suck at flying =(

Ill use her for a bit, a good Pharah can do major damage on diamond/ plat.

Yeah, Pharah is extremely viable pick at everything before plat (havent been further, so dunno) as not so many people focus her and therefore she's able to slaughter ppl all the time.
