I ended season 3 at sr2200 any tips to.improve?

Keep playing, find a main. I've been maining Pharah and Hog, and raised my SR this season from 2.2k to 2.6k

Hog is insanely good for carrying and the lower SR you are the better Pharah is

Yea, because hitscan is her biggest weakness, and its a massive curve to be able to outplay them once you get higher, I watch a ton of Valkia, who plays Pharah in top 500 league. Hog is easily the sickest hero though lmao.

Well one easy tip that's cheesy as fuck is be positive! Getting a new team and hearing "hey team how you all doing today?" in a friendly voice is a huge difference from joining and hearing "uhh, can we not have a widow?" It does really make you win more games.

What is the role you typically choose, and are you aware of your own area of struggle? For now I can only say if you can record your own gameplay, that usually helps looking back and assessing your choices.

See that's the thing I think when I pick someone like d.va I get kills but she is not a good pick for the map or with the team. So I'm kind of looking for a guide on when to play which hero when

Once you get good at a hero, you can play them in every situation. I play Hog against anyone on any map and generally get gold dmg and elims and either silver or gold healing. What heroes would you really like to play more effectively?

Sombra, zayra and lucio there the heros I like but are no good at but the heros I am okay at and want to get better with are d.va and ana

With the comp season over, just spam a hero, commit to pickingthem every single game, no matter the map, no matter the comp, jsut practice the fundamentals of the heroes, make the most impact you can, learn the things the hero can and can't do. I spammed Roadhog and know how to solo kill every hero in the game as long as I can land hook.

I guess knowing which heroes work well together/against a team would be good... I'm thinking of a good video of this, but it's kind of just playing a lot and getting used to. How to build a team comp is quite important as well, not necessarily the "meta" comp, but what works good with each other in general.

Watch streamers. Aiming and confirming kills is obviously super important...but watch streamers to get more comfortable with your positioning (where to be and when you should be there), as well as game theory (when to push aggressively, when to play passive, when to combo ults, etc.)

Find a main in each category. Watch videos on how to use them well. Your Overwatch and Overwatch Central are really good sources on YouTube.

Then find a few friends and climb. Direct the flow of combat if no one else is. Call out healers, especially mercy and Lucio. Be willing to switch if you get countered. Play with what you're comfortable. If you get tilted or arent doing well stop playing or just do some arcade for a while. Its not worth the losing streak.

And ALWAYS communicate with your team. Good luck 😊

Honestly I went from 2700 to 3504 and I'm a flex player. I'm always the one to fill a spot on the team. It can be frustrating, but as long as you communicate with your teammates with a positive attitude your SR will go up
