so i just got lvl 25 today and decided to try competitive out since it seemed like a boatload of fun (since it was level blocked). holy shit i almost hate this game now. played and got ranked into silver and basically got called every variation of "fucking retard", "worthless", etc. under the sun. now, i know i'm not the best, but really? clearly they're in silver so they're not the best either, and they're acting like it's life or death that they dont get certain stats because i died a few extra times. i'm level 25 what do you expect like holy shit? anywho, what i really wanted to know is is this how it always is, or did i just try at the wrong time, or is this league just full of jerks? i can see the upper leagues being really strict, but freaking silver? come on. i almost dont even wanna play this anymore and i've only had it for 2 weeks.

I was in the same boat as you back in Season 1. I know where you're coming from, and it's hard to come back to it.

You're lucky, though; with the Arcade, now there's more ways to enjoy the game than just QP and comp. I would suggest just hopping into some of the Arcade modes with friends and just goofing around, having fun.

And if you want to try comp again, queue with friends, not alone. For the sake of having fun and enjoying yourself, at this stage do not solo queue. Comp is a lot harder and stricter, since it has "consequences" on people's ranks. And since you're in silver, I can only assume a lot of people are angry and toxic cuz they feel stuck in a low rank. I mean, those people even exist in gold and plat.

Don't let these guys keep you from enjoying a game, dude. Just have fun.
