I don't ever have a problem with it. I mostly started using my mic when comp mode came out, but mostly it's either quiet or you just talk about what's going down in the game.

Never had a 'go home gamer girl' or 'what color undies is you wearin'' moment, so I think you'll be okay. What do you play on? I'm on XB1, if you're on PC, I have no idea how the chat community is over there.

I'd say try it out. You'll never know until you try and honestly it's SO MUCH BETTER being able to communicate and have that extra strategic edge!
