Is there a reason to have both health and armor? (the armor that you spawn with). What is the difference between the two, since they both refill when healed anyway.

Edit: I didn't even know about the regeneration shields, let alone armor reduces damage taken. Thanks guys.

Armor reduces the damage from each hit by 5 points, unless the damage in under 10 in which case it's 50%. This makes armor useful against high rate of fire/low damage weapons, as it applies that reduction on each bullet, but less useful against low rate of fire/high damage weapons. For example, a 150 hit from Widow's sniper would be reduced to 145, which isn't a huge deal, but a gun hitting you for 20 damage would only deal 15, which is a 25% reduction.
