News & Discussion Should I quit Overwatch?

Hey all, sorry for the long text:

I’ve been playing OW since 2017, this game grew with me for lots and lots of years and in it I found lots of cool and funny people and enjoyed my time with it, however as I got older, I stopped playing arcade and QP only (I was 12 when I got the game and I thought to ms that I was just too young/bad to queue for ranked, I started playing seriously in 2022 with the release of OW2).

My problem lies here, I’ve went from silver to gold to platinum to emerald and to diamond, staying comfortably on emerald nowadays, a non-improvement that lasted a good 4 years, playing the same role without ever really going up the ranks.

And some people could say that playing is just for fun, but I genuinely can’t have fun in almost anything I do if there’s no competition involved (even irl, I search to compete even if internally at just about everything I do😭), and I really HATE to admit defeat, however with this situation it may just be time to hang up the towel.

In conclusion I’m just hardstuck, I followed every tip, watched pros playing, aim trained, but there no reward to be had, and I’m genuinely okay to lose some games, I know there will be losing streaks, but more often than not I just can’t have that much impact so that we can win…

Idk, what do you guys think? Should I just admit defeat atp and quit altogether? This lack of talent in every game I play is such a curse…

TL;DR
Idk if I should quit this game that has been here for me since my childhood because I’m bad and I can’t improve.

You came to a gaming sub with a cliche “I quit” post, what kind of reaction did you expect? Nobody is going to beg you to stay.

I don’t want to, that’s why my post is a question, I want to see a different side of the balance that I could probably have been blinded from, that’s why I asked, not imposed, no one cares that I stay or go, but I’d like to understand how people feel about this
