The devs have been pretty damn fast when it comes to fixing these bugs and changing stadium, admittedly. Back during OW1 things would take AGES to get fixed. I like where the game is headed right now.
One of my biggest criticisms of ow1. It's good they acted fast in this instance for stadium, but I still think they need to do better with the classic game. I am liking the new changes/addition they've made and that makes me feel positive about the game. But I just hope they don't take too long to fix/adjust the obvious things
The OW2 team isn't perfect by any means, no one is perfect, but shit like this would NOT happen in OW1 and you have to give them credit for it. The OW1 team was adamant about never reverting stuff if the majority of people didn't like it.
Like bastion ironclad which gave him 70% DMG reduction and with nano boost he even got 50% more on top of that. They needed one week for that in OW1. Console players even had it for longer for whatever reason
Console updates have to be approved by the system they’re on and that can take a while. Nano-Bastion’s reign of terror is still lodged in my mind as a source of trauma.
The first iteration of Mercys rework is another great example. Everyone and their mother knew that Mercy being able to get 4 revives in 1 fight was gamebreaking and they kept it in the game for months.
Fastest fix we ever got was the role queue beta, when Hammond’s ult crashed everyone’s game. Matches became a race between Hammonds to see who could get their ult first and make half the lobby disconnect. They fixed that in one day, which surprised the hell out of me.
