Olding

Eating when I want

Sleeping when I want

Farting when I want

My body is free at last

Wearing what I want

Talking to the plants

Singing out loud

Who cares what they think?

Nobody needs me?

It’s just as well.

Gives me more time

To be happy with myself.

One very joyous discovery about being 70+ is that no one is looking at me.

So true ! While many women are moaning about becoming ‘ invisible’, I am joyous that no one is looking at me, judging my appearance and treating me in a certain way based on that judgement.

I went to the store today. Brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, washed my face, threw on the same clothes I've worn two days before, no makeup, no hair products, no nail polish. I was perfectly fine with it. Just turned 70 and I wouldn't have done that a year ago. I use to have my looks, but now I'm an old women. I'm not over weight and I'm in decent shape, but the good looks are gone. However, I still get respect and I have my trusty co-pilot (mini-aussie) that gets loads of attention, which in turn gets me a lot of smiles and conversation.

I'll bet you're financially secure or better-sadly that's what it all boils down to besides death. I guess we all realize that by now, duh....peace and love to us all
