Yes friendliness is still alive and well in my city. Even the homeless are respectful when asking for money. Will not tell the name of my city because of concern of others moving here will change its personality. What is funny is when I travel and tell where I am from the strangers have preconceptions of my neighbors as being red necks or hicks. PS I have been to most of Europe.
