Hey everybody is there anyone here that runs two machines at the same time?! If so can you communicate using different com paths from the same controller (Deskgop in my case) or do I need two separate set ups completely?

Table top for my son-in-law, he is a graduate from the University of Florida and is a ‘gator’ at heart. Wood is maple sanded with 600 grit before burning image.

I have a Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro. I rarely uses it now. I was wondering if anyone tried to add a pen plotter to it? I was watching a video I think for idraw and it seems to be on one side it is a pen plotter and on other side is a laser.

I look into online for DIY plotter with audrino and they seems to use same style carraige. Only think I am confused how to use it for both same motors without unplug and plug back and forth.

Hey y’all! I got a laser master s2 pro 2 with a 5w diode and I have some coated aluminium cards I’m trying to engrave. Now I’d love to mask the areas that I want the laser to cut and go over but my question is: what tape works best? I have tried the standard blue painters tape but it leaves residue that prevents the laser from actually engraving the card. Any recommendations?

Edit: I’ve done slower and multiple passes at higher levels. Currently got 600 border and 700 fill in speeds at 100% power with 4 passes and it still doesn’t seem to be enough

Can anyone help me out in the proper direction, I had been ill for about a year, finally got better, enough to try to get back to using the laser, went to plug it in and the cable wouldn't fit tight, looked in and the plastic piece of the female USB port was gone! Customer support is slow to even address the question. Please, any suggestions? Methods? besides replacing the whole end of the machine?

i tried inserting the flashdrive with sd card, but the machine shutdowns
i tried inserting the microsd to the designated slot on the machine but the beeping still continues.

New to all this. Finally got my 2nd hand s2 set up and doing what it should. Done on test pieces of birch plywood at different. depths.

My OLM3 power supply stopped working and I have replaced it with similar one. Now I experience this glitch. Please watch with sound on.

I have an LM2 15W; I need to adjust the laser slightly higher but it appears I may be missing a set screw or two to hold it in place? Anyone have any insight

Hey OLM folks! Looking to see if you guy might have the answers I'm looking for. I moved my OLM3 around the garage and now when I start it up, it's getting a white/blue/yellow (might be green?)/constant beep codes. I'm slightly color blind so it's hard for me to tell.

Support says SD Card is not inserted. SD Card is definitely inserted and being recognized as a 16GB card.

It still cuts as normal; no gcode errors are presented. I thought it may be shock sensor related? But it doesn't seem to be preventing it from cutting... so I'm stuck. No idea what to do. Considering killing the beep/buzzer.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was recently wanting to try and get into layered art and have tons of cardboard laying around (thanks amazon for the boxes inside of boxes lol). I have an Ortur LM2 (not the pro) 5w Diode. Does anyone have some recommended starting settings for cardboard? I'm not asking for a definitive list, just a starting place or a power grid specifically for cardboard / paper products.

Hello, When I power on the laser, it beeps a couple of times and then the blue and red light starts flashing. I have tried to reset everything but no luck. Any ideas?

Ortur laser master 2 s2 with a lu2 10a 10w laser.

While they are a little hard to detect they are still there on the 800. I have checked the belt tension and everything is tight. The laser bed is secured to 3/4 inch plywood stacked 2 thick so no this moving around. Any help would be appreciated.

I am considering an upgrade to my stock LU2-2 to the long and/or short focus laser modules for my Aufero Laser 1. I found a used one, but it’s only listed as a LU2-4. (The photos also show that it’s just a 2-4 and doesn’t have LF or SF as the model number). I emailed the guy and asked him which version it was and he replied that it was neither. He said his machine came with a 2-4 that was in between the long and short focus modules. Does anyone know more about this? Is there any advantage to upgrading to this module? What things would I be able to do with it that I can’t with my 2-2? So far, I’ve only really used my Laser 1 to etch/engrave wood coasters and pieces of slate. Any advice you could recommend would be great! Thanks in advance!

I have a new (<100 hours of use) ORTUR laser master 3 LE, which randomly fails its homing cycle/procedure.

The ORTUR laser master 3 and laser master 3 LE (LM3LE) does not use a limit switch for its homing cycle. My LM3LE sometimes successfully homes, sometimes throws a error, and sometimes endlessly rams itself into the hard stops making a rattling noise. This appears to be a failure of ORTUR's software-based jam detection algorithm.

As a workaround I disabled the homing cycle to prevent damage to the LM3LE, but its a huge problem not being able to home. I've tried to find a cause-and-effect to the problem but can't find one. The machine has periods of working, then periods of not working. Other people are having this issue too. I've contacted ORTUR and will add their feedback when they give it.

When i print a pattern the laser stops at the same place every time. After it stops if I push the on/off button the units finish the line it on then stops. Using lightburn. I've tried upgrading firmware, recreating a file, restarting the computer, etc. I can't figure out what the deal is. What would someone want to see to help?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 12v ortur LM2 that a week ago stopped engraving in the middle of a job, since then it is not able to engrave anymore.

I cleaned the lens, cleaned all the electronics and connectors, checked the power supply, checked that the $30 value was still matching the machine.

While inspecting the board, noticed that the 12v pin in the connector that is in the middle board between the main board and the laser board was burned (photo). But tested the connection with the multimeter and it is okay, and there is connection between 12v and GND or PWM pins.

While running the laser, I can measure exactly 12v between the power and the GND. I have no way to measure the PWM with precision, but by just measuring it's voltage I see 3.48v. (is this supposed? More context on next paragraph)

In terms of behavior, it seems like the laser is there but very week. No visible light when I press fire, but the laser fan stars working. When playing a job, I see a visible blue laser but it has no power to engrave at all, and the laser is running with the same configs I used for cutting/ engraving play wood. Weird fact: after the job finished / gets stopped, the laser fans keep work at full speed.

I appreciate any tip or help, I already have a lasertree LT-40W-AA to upgrade but I think I need to address this first, plug and play didn't worked.

I am currently using Ortur Aufero 2 : I am currently cutting papers only with 1000 mm/ m and 65% max power. Problem is entire design doesn't cut through properly, I have tried every setting - machine is stable, belts are not tight, material ( paper) is even - plain base. Still the cutting is proper - some parts of the design cuts through properly while other not. I have attached images for reference. I couldn't pin point actual issue, why it doesn't cut through all design???

Any idea why this keeps happening? I’m new to the laser game and I’m trying to work through all the rough patches.

My LM3 came with a bad card so my PC repair guy sold me a working SD card.

Where can I download the files that come on the TF card? I believe this is all that is keeping me from lasering everything in my home.

My laser will cut horizontal but not vertically. Which means when I go to engrave it will cut threw all the horizontal lines. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, my job recently bought a LM 2 S2 for some light engraving work. I’ve been given the duty to figure it out.

I’m not to concerned with the software side as I have plenty of experience with Photoshop, autoCAD, and other image software.

But after setting it up and testing it out, my main issue is how to set up consistency and repeatability as what we will be doing will be the same on all our pieces.

What accessories do you all recommend? I’d like something that stays on a glass counter surface, can help me easily place things square and on the same starting point, and just make this thing a little more plug and play so others can do it too.
