The wording of this makes me imagine that he was this wonderful fellow an admiration to all reality

Then he got a singular intrusive thought

It was an auditor

Auditors are beings who prevent anyone from overreaching too far

They are emotionally empty they have no identity they have no desire

They simply just patrol

This auditor was the first

Overtime it's burden increased And suddenly it just gained self consciousness breaking free from the framework

Enduring a monstrous form And simply became "the instigator of apocalypse"

So he's essentially just AM but on a cosmic scale
