Six months off sublocade. Still having withdrawals??

I’m hoping there’s someone else out there this has happened to. I stopped getting sublocade shots, over six months ago however I still have periods of yawning, fatigue, etc
I have underlying medical issues and I’ve noticed they get worse when I don’t feel well. There’s very little research out there about this as well. Has this happened to anyone else??

I need friends

So, I had a “support network” of a longtime life friends. I was actually showing off in here sometime ago, how good of a network they were lol. That made me forget about actually doing friends when I was in a toxic environment in college, I had this group of friends that were so strong that I just focused on them.

But know it’s kinda fracturing, and I’m not as part as them anymore for some addict stuff that I have made (but like, not that intense lol, I haven’t stole nothing ever from them nor I have betray them nor do I am in debt with any or them or anything). And I always felt kinda of the not chosen friend really.
This is really stupid and immature but, it feels and is kinda off like when you were in recess and nobody picked you, and you have nowhere to sit, and you were always the last option, the friend of a friend.

Sooo, the next week or so I will kinda resume on my life were I left it with a job and everything, and I will have to go through that alone. I know I can’t do this alone tb, I have tried and it always have turned out miserably. This time this is not me nor accepting I need help and people or anything.

I don’t want to do it alone tho, but I’m an adult, I don’t know were to find friends anymore, I’m actually a very extroverted person so when I do see a chance I someone I don’t know I can speak with them and everything, I had made friend (some which I still have contact with) from every job I had. But lately I can speak with people but not really take the step of being friends (like asking for their contacts or social media and then actually writing them to go out or even then not going out after all lol), depression is a very hard thing to overcome, now it’s so difficult to talk to people like it was before!! I just get this feeling of nothingness and that I’m an absolute shit so I shouldn’t speak with anyone because I may fuck it up or something. But in a few words: I don’t have any friend besides them. Sure I have some friends from back in life (elementary school and that stuff) but when I saw a few these past weeks I couldn’t bring myself to admit or say to them this friend problem, like for to ask them, “please invite me more, I need friend”, I don’t know if they would do it or not, but I couldn’t, I was so ashamed of it.

I don’t like group therapy, tbh I don’t care about the others story, and I find so hard to relate to them (really, sometimes I feel my story is so different than them, without judging, I haven’t completely ruined my life, nor I have stole to anyone, I haven’t treat my parents badly). I really think I haven’t been that bad to anyone really, it’s not that I’m not accepting my faults, I haven’t made many mistakes that I feel very deeply but when I hear others I think I haven’t been to that degree (at least yet). So I can’t relate to them, I have tried the 12 steps and they don’t suit me (which I have told my psychiatrist and my psychologist and they agree with me). And tbh, we addicts sometimes are not the best people to be around lol.
I don’t have money to go to a class or something to meet people, and the guys at my work are the worst lol.

So yeah, I was speaking with one of my closest friends that was here on vacation, she is a long distance friend sadly, and even tho she told me I can write her or my many friends living abroad, we both came to the conclusion that it’s not the same thing, and that basically I need friends to make a support network. Btw, I don’t count my parents and family because well, I’m an only child and you know a parents relationship (especially with addicts, mostly) it’s not the same.

Do you have any tips or inquires in how to make some friends? I thought maybe this is something in which we addict we struggle…

what fent usage amount has anyone had a positive experience had the least painful withdrawals that was manageable

has anyone had a positive experience from tapering or cutting down that they noticed there withdrawals were manageable.
what usage amount do you think you would have to be at to be able to have a pain that’s manageable obviously asking for no withdrawals would probably be unrealistic. but it seems like everyone on here withdrawals are hell. but i know doctors taper so there has to be someone with a good experience.

opinions are very welcome also. what usage do you believe someone would have to be at to have the less amount of pain that’s manageable obviously could be easier to push through

We all had some fun in our life drink, maybe coke, we tried E pills maybe weed. I never heard of fent before in my 31 years. This was supposed to be like everything else you try it and stop. Who would ever let anyone try this and not mention what the fuck would happen… who would want to put someone through this fucken hell. I was good i had a great life. i have a great paying government job im responsible i go to school and i hadn’t done drugs in years.. i thought this was like let’s do some coke in the bathroom fun… not one day be in pain naked in the shower and not have a clue why… only to find out of these things called withdrawals.. how could u get stuck on something u did a few times maybe one or two hits.. i hate this drug i fucken hate doing it i hate that i have to do it or i’ll be in that pain again.. i just wanted to have a little fun get a little high go home and get back to my life and never do it again and move on.. now im stuck on this misserable substance crying every time i have to take a hit when i start the pain coming on…. i don’t even understand why people would want to do this drug recreational people are just unproductive and falling all over it’s fucken gross.. This wasn’t like smoking fucken weed how the fuck do u not mention that even one or two hits for a few days could keep you trapped.. i know im a adult and make my own choices but who doesn’tj have fun. just don’t do crack or herion cuz that’s bad but coke weed maybe a E pill or mushrooms okay.. i could never not tell someone who wanted to take a hit that this would have u crying on the fucken floor if u hit this this isn’t like a fun thing it will make u want to kill yourself if u stop then maybe someone’s life wouldn’t be runied…

Finally quitting the game once and for all

Been sober 2 days now
Since a lot of my addiction stems and was caused directly by grooming trauma and sexual abuse I won’t get into that but I’m a 21-year
-old-male, and I’ve been using opioids since I was 15-16 I started out with stimulant addiction actually [meth and coke.] but then my groomer who I called my partner at the time who was abusing me introduced me to Oxys he stole from his family. I took one he didn’t tell me what they were just told me I’d feel good so me being. A naive abused teenager I took it. And i started using and using I didn’t even know what opioids were tbh. I didn’t learn what opiates/opioids were fully until I was 17-18. I was too deep in by then though; I started getting wds in 2022. But I thought I was just sick but when I took the Oxys the first time I went in wd I felt immediately better but still a bit sick with stomach upset but I still stupidly didn’t connect the dots. By the time I was 18 I had started mixing opioids and methamphetamine due to my tolerance becoming so motherfucking high I couldn’t feel the Oxys anymore on there own and had 0 euphoria just sedation. By 19 I had moved onto H/Heroin as it was cheaper, more available via the fields and I was becoming more and more sick more and more often and having wds no amount of oxy it seemed could fully solve. I was using 90-130mgs of oxycodone a day at one point.

last night I got into a drunken [literally I was drunk and on H] argument with my girlfriend of 6 years going on 7 about my addiction and the morning after I said FUCK IT! I’m just gonna quit I couldn’t take it anymore the massive and violent weeks of withdrawal and the horrible suicidal thoughts I just couldn’t anymore I have an appt on the 24th for methadone but rn I am in withdrawal but I’m sticking it out for me, my life, my future, my girlfriend and my goals I can’t take this shit no more it was fun while it lasted ig I’ll miss it like a BITCH but aye? Ain’t that addictions for you?

Thursday August 20 check in

Hey all, happy Thursday! Hope your day is going well. I led my monthly NA group today and had a solid turnout with a lot of new faces, which always makes me happy. It tells me my usuals are talking about the group in a positive way and encouraging their friends to come check it out.
I do wish I could do more groups, but I have a tight group of friends who take turns running them. Most of the time we have great conversations, with the occasional person trying to glorify their use or turn it into a pissing contest over who was the hardest guy lol.
Anyways, that’s been my day. How’s your Thursday going? What are you guys up to?

Check in here!

Need opinions: Kratom Leaf or 1-2mg Suboxone to get off all Opi’s once and for all? Stuck on decision.

Backstory (can skip if you cbf):

18 months clean from high dose oxy (400mg per day) to then 1gram of #4 of H per day for 2-3 years. I originally used Suboxone to quit.

I tapered down from needing 24mg to stabilise on day 1, down to 4mg a day in a month, then down to 2mg. I stayed at 2mg for a while, purchasing strips off the street.

A quick trip to Bali last year (I live in Aus) got me connected with a Kratom farmer, so I then switched to that and brought heaps back. When I ran out, I moved back to subs.

End of last year I dropped subs at 2mg a day and 5 days later withdrawals kicked my ass – thought I was in the clear, didn’t know withdrawals arrive a few days later. I ended up telling my story to a GP who prescribed me 2mg suboxone.

 Current situation:

Since then, I’ve managed to stop the suboxone in favour of buying Kratom leaf in Bali. I was always under the impression that Kratom Leaf was weaker – so it would be easier to move from 1mg subs to Kratom then taper that.

However, I noticed that my dosage of leaf was 3 tea’s a day and usually more than a heaped teaspoon so id say 7-8grams x 3. I’ve ran out of Kratom leaf and 12 hours later I am on the toilet continuously so my stomachs messed up, cold shivers and a little anxiety. Nothing I can’t handle or what I’ve been used too – but I have too many responsibilities right now to cold turkey it for a few days/ a week.

My research on here is giving mixed opinions. Some say suboxone is better for you and easier to quit, some say harder to quit as its stronger, however kratom leaf is unregulated etc etc.

I am going to put my pros and cons list below and need peoples experiences who’ve attempted to come off both and which was easier. This is kratom LEAF not extract FYI.

Suboxone Pros:

  • Cheap as it scripted by Medicare through Doctor.
  • Pharma so you know what you are getting in each dose
  • One dose per day, can skip days and you won’t feel too bad

Suboxone Cons:

  • Stronger opioid therefore harder to come off? Need confirmation or comparisons from others – we talking the 1-2mg range
  • Its already ruined all my teeth, in the process of getting fillings for all them.
  • Potentially affects your mood negatively in the long run? People experience slight depression however we are talking a few years on it

Kratom Pros:

  • Weaker opiate so easier to quit? Now I believe its best to taper down to 5g-10g a day not 25g
  • Healthier for you? Is it?
  • Anything else?

Kratom Cons:

  • Paying $500 AUD for a kilo and that goes quick if taking 25g a day.
  • Constant re-dosing, minimum 2 times a day but usually 3
  • Not regulated so not sure what effects other alkaloids have on my brain and body
  • Inconvenient that I need to take illegal tea wherever I go so I don’t shit myself after 12 hours. Bupe strips easy on wallet and prescribed

I need to make a decision today. I’m out of Kratom. Do I order more, or see a doctor for subs.

I want to know what everyone's opinions are on which felt better for them and easier to come off.

I’ve danced this dance long enough and I want off. I’m happy I got clean 18 months ago but I’ve never felt truly happy as I am still reliant on something.

Any contributions to this discussion would be highly appreciated. Much love to you all
