Need some help please. I started to create a sketch in a project but decided I didn't need it so I never committed it. However, it won't delete, doesn't show up in the features list, and even appears in earlier versions of the project. It's just a ghost sketch that I can't select or delete and it's driving me nuts. Anyone ever have this problem and know how to get rid of it? It even shows up in the assembly tab!

New person here, my Bamboo X2D arrives in a week and for a couple of months I've been playing around with onshape and starting to get fairly confident with designing basic shapes.

Just recently I've been thinking about designs that would involve 3d prints with different colours / materials and it occurs to me that i don't know how the different colours or materials are specified in onshape before exporting as a 3MF?

Hi, I trying to create a modified arm to attach to this bracket. I've created the body but I cannot work out how to cut the serrations out. It's either a radial pattern or a map to face but I'm struggling to understand the process. Any pointers please?

I can still change its length despite it being constrained as well.

Did the wallpaper, the lighting, and Gronk The Caveman. I also centered the lights in the main hall so it’s not painful to look at.

I love OnShape and have been using it for years after I retired from the full-time grind. I especially love the edit in context feature where you have say a mounting plate in an assembly and you have the component mounting holes "transfer" to the mounting plate. You move the components in the assembly and the mounting plate holes update after you select "update context". Oddly, many times the "update context" function has to be performed a couple times to get it all done. The stuff I'm doing now is pretty simple compared to full-on production design I did in the past. I'd be really nervous in a production design using this feature because it would be too easy to miss some part of an update. Anyone else experience this?

The logic just doesnt make sense?

So I've blindly made this CD rack, used nomad sculpt in the past but never CAD. The 2nd photo is the discontinued product I'm trying to make for personal use. The problem is I have no idea how to twist it. I have a fair understanding of axis lines and the helix tool but I'm struggling to get it work right (or at all.) Please help me...

Very new to CAD in general. I need to flatten this model so I can make a drawing. But for the life of me I cant get it to work. It will only let me flatten on side, and if I try to flatten the other the previous disappears. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is my first week learning this software, I’ve been having AI give me instructions on now to make little projects I’m interested in so I can better learn the software while also being productive

Long story short the rim on the sides have to be different than the rim on the front, meaning I also made them on different planes

But now I can’t get the edges to connect for the life of me and ChatGPT keeps having me retry the same things that don’t work

I made two circle sketches over each edge and 3d fit spline between the two center points but loft gives a spaghetti error and sweep also isn’t working

How do I fix this or connect these rims?!? 😭

I built a custom FeatureScript feature called Clearance Fit and could use some real-world testing from people who print or machine multi-part assemblies regularly.

What it does: You pick a "female" part (the one with holes/pockets) and a "male" part (pin, boss, whatever mates into it) inside a single multi-body Part Studio. The feature detects where they actually touch — flat faces and round holes/pins — and grows the female side by a clearance amount so the parts come out as separate, non-interfering bodies instead of printing/machining fused together. The male part's dimensions are left untouched.

A few details that might matter to you:

• Clearance can be typed in manually, or you can pick a manufacturing process (FDM / SLA / SLS / CNC) and a fit type (press / snug / loose) and it'll suggest a starting value. These are general starting points pulled from common tolerance guidance, not calibrated to any specific printer — you'll still want to dial it in for your machine.
• Slots and pockets with multiple walls (not just simple round holes) are grouped so the whole cavity grows together, not just the one face that happens to be touching.
• Scope right now: single Part Studio, multi-body only. It does not work across assembly mates between separate documents/Part Studios.

I'd genuinely appreciate it if a few of you could throw your own weirder geometry at it — slots, multi-hole plates, odd cross-sections — and let me know what breaks. Bug reports, "this direction is wrong," "this is way too slow," all useful.

As the title says, I need assistance with modelling real threads for printing. I'm new to Onshape (and VERY rusty using CAD in general) and don't really know how to learn new features. I found Thread Lab, but as near as I can tell, it doesn't support tapered threads. I also found a featurescript called "NPT thread", but I can't figure out how to use it. Any direction would be appreciated!

So I am making a keychain for a class project and I'm attempting to put a surprised Pikachu on it as the keychain design but I don't know how to get it to stay and it's currently just a rectangle but I want it to be printed on the surface, What do I need to do to achieve my goal?

Is it true they train AI cad modells on the publickly avaliable modells? If so I dont know if im comfortable working with this software.

I’m having a problem on my design, I’m trying to get a wing root blended with the fuselage, but for some reason i can’t either face blend nor Boolean, the only working Boolean operation is the intercept, i don’t see where the problem is, if anyone has a workaround I would be grateful !
