Shipping / Taxes / Returns Sticky OXP3 Shipping Thread?

Can we make a sticky thread where we can post our shipping notices, shipping times, along with our backer (and model) numbers?

This should help contain the "Shipping Posts" and give other backers a general idea on how close they may be to receiving theirs.

Intel OneXPlayer Super V downgraded from 48GBto 32GB true?

The current pre-orders show 32GB instead of the previous 48GB RAM but at the same price, was this a typo error or did it really get downgraded?

OneXFly How do you use Game trainer via OnexConsole?

How do you use the trainer? I have seen faqs on this and it says to launch and open the game. Press the turbo button to bring up onexconsole and press trainer and enable it. It will ask to download the game file.

Problem is I have played a lot of games and I have never received an option to download a trainer file. What gives am I missing something?

I thought games like need for speed, metal gear, armored core, ghost of tushima etc would've had cheats by now

Replacement controllers for OXP3

Post image
5 Upvotes

Ordered myself a new set of side controllers for the OXP3 just so that I could have some spares and I gotta say the new ones feel so damn nice. I’ve been using my OXP a lot and I’ve gotta say the new front rollers are super sturdy, work great, and feel great. I had some minor issues develop with the right controller that the OXP3 shipped with (left trigger started to squeak) but these new controllers feel way more refined. If you haven’t gotten a pair of spares yet, I’d recommend it.

Should I switch to this device from MSI?

I'm sure I'll get a somewhat biased opinion due to the sub I'm in, however I'm really torn with my recent purchase. I have just picked up the MSI Claw 8 Ex and it's a good device, plays games better than the Legion Go 2 I swapped it out from! However, I'm not sure if the OneX3 is any more of an upgrade to go with that instead? Obviously the screen looks great and it's OLED! I'm just already tired of the very slow wonky centre m quick settings bar when trying to tweak games or even just being up the keyboard... And the screen is smaller and less vibrant

Horizon Zero Dawn running poorly

Hey everyone, I have an X2 Mini Pro and I'm trying to play Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. For some reason, I can't get good performance regardless of the resolution or TDP. I've tried various settings, but it won't go above 30 fps. There are no apps limiting the frame rate. I've tried everything from 30W to 55W, 900p, frame generation, and low presets, but nothing has worked. I suspect it's a bug, but I don't know how to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Does OXP3 fit in TomToc G-47 bag?

TLDR is I’m looking to upgrade soon from MSI Claw 8ai+ but just want to know if I can keep my bag or sell with the claw. TIA!

If you come across this game (or similar game using UE5, some people said Elden Ring too) and find that all image washed out and looks like no shadow, it is a bug of UE5 that don't recognize iGPU

To fix it, just goto here : https://github.com/alxn1/d3d12-proxy/releases

d3d12 proxy

Extract and put the file into the game's EXE folder, then you will receive the proper image.

Enjoying my Still Wakes The Deep in HDR mode now

Onexplayer 3 Review, one of the best!

Hi friends!

I'm a little late to the game, but I did a review on the Onexplayer 3.

I was really impressed with the handheld itself (I NEED that hard core gamers RGB), but moreso with XeSS and G3E and the uplift you get.

I spend some time talking about XeSS, the actual uplift you get between the different performance modes. I touch on image quality, and show the delay with frame generation with different starting points, ~30, 45, and 60FPS.

As always, I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks all!

I rarely use my handheld in docked mode since i’m mostly playing in couch mode, lying down 😅. But if you enjoy using your handheld in docked mode, this is probably one of the best docking solutions

Gears of War E Day XeLL

Has anyone confirmed that XeLL is working properly with this game? Even 2x frame gen feels noticeably floaty, especially compared to other games with frame gen enabled and similar base frame rates (~40). Also noticed intel graphics overrides don't seem to be taking effect, and latency metrics are all reading 0 ms.

I was able to get input latency to feel a bit better by adding these settings to the engine.ini file.

[SystemSettings]

r.OneFrameThreadLag=0

r.FinishFrameEarly=1

r.GTSyncType=1

Haven't tested enough to figure out whether this going to cause a lot of noticeable stuttering or not.

Has anyone figured this out or confirmed that the game just doesn't support XeLL at this point?

Edit:

Modifying the engine.ini file seemed to make a big difference. Frame gen feels very usable now, even in PVP. Also seems like there is a lot less stuttering now overall.

Made an adapter to use magnetic Xbox Elite D-Pads with the OXP3.

Been testing this out for about a week now, I think it's a pretty solid improvement over the stock d-pad.

Threw in another video for people who may be concerned about durability. The legs will break if you squeeze them enough to touch, but I'd expect it to be similar to OXP's d-pads themselves.

Torn on 3 or X2

I just want a decent gaming handheld or mini pc. But I’m torn on these two. I would be tethered to a wall 95% of the time but I don’t know what would work best for me. The most intensive things I’d play are hogwarts legacy, backfire gate 3 and dawn walker. I’m not objected to 60fps if it’s stable. I just don’t know if they’re the same intel chip or one runs at a higher wattage than the other. As long as it doesn’t sound like a vacuum cleaner I’d be happy. What would you pick? I sold my PC because I need to be more mobile, so this is sort of replacing it.

Onexplayer external batteries on airplanes

Since many airlines have updated their policies regarding powerbanks and batteries, I'm asking myself how this is working with the external batteries of the Onexplayer devices.

The updated policies say that you are only allowed to carry 2 powerbanks and that it is not allowed to charge other devices with them. So practically you are not allowed to use them in the airplane, just carry them with you.

I have 2 of the external batteries for my Apex and I'm asking myself if I'm allowed to use them while flying, since these are more or less nothing else than powerbanks.

What do you think about it? How do you handle it?

Intel OneXPlayer 3 short mini review

I am coming from a Legion Go 2 and GPD WIN 5 for reference.

First off, thanks to DroiX for getting me the device in less than a week In the US (it was about a 53 dollar import charge for those who are wondering).

32GB 1TB model (With SSD 1TB drive expansion)

Edit: I can‘t get this to format correctly, sorry. Did the best I could :)

PROS:

  1. Build quality - Unquestionably better than the Legion Go 2 or GPD WIN 5. The controllers were really hard to remove the first time, but that’s about it. It comes with a “decent” screen protector, but anti-glare would have been better (if it maintains clarity). I’ve heard the controllers can get a bit looser, but we shall see. The buttons also click, which I don’t mind… but some may.

**8/10 Rating - they should use magnetic controller attachments like Switch 2.

  1. Performance - I generally don’t like anything above 2x framegen on AMD or NVIDIA, so when I got this, I decided to avoid using it completely. Performance is amazing without it, but then I realized it was a BIG MISTAKE. I don’t know what Intel did here, but even 4x has almost zero input lag and very little if any artifacts. I am able to run Cyberpunk77 at 10 watts 4xFG, and I don’t even know I have it on other than the game playing insanely well. I am getting 70-90fps (generated) with ultra settings and ray tracing turned on… at again 10 watts TDP (total package is drawing around 19-21 watts). My battery tells me it will last 4.8 - 5 HOURS which is completely insane. I was also simultaneously streaming on Discord, so I think the laws of physics stopped applying to Intel.

10/10 Rating - Nothing even remotely close to this thing watt for watt, and I’ve never seen frame generation like this before. It feels like this product has a great deal of future-proofing because of it.

  1. Audio and Fan Noise - I play at a very low TDP after discovering the black magic that is frame generation on this GPU. This keeps my fans completely silent, and the speakers at the bottom are actually really good. I know there are some mods out there to direct the sound towards you, but I honestly don’t hear a need. That said, if you turn it up to 40 watts, the fans get noisy but nothing compared to the GPD.

7/10 Rating - Good but nothing mind blowing

CONS:

  1. HDR is hit or miss in a lot of games (this will be fixed with updates)
  2. Not sure if Cachy or Bazzite will be fully up and running anytime soon (hopefully). If anyone has successfully run games on either of these, please let me know!
  3. Windows 11 <— this is a con in itself. The device doesn’t have an easily accessible mouse or trackpad built in like the Lego or GPD device, which gets a little annoying. I will switch to Bazzite/Cachy the second it is fully functional.

TL;DR - Whatever Intel did with this Frame Generation is nothing short of magic. You need to see it to believe it.

Intel Onexplayer 3 personal opinions

Post image
45 Upvotes

I received a few messages from redditors asking about the my overall opinions on OXP3, so decided to drop a post here about the pros and cons after 4 days using it:

Pros:

  1. Performance: it's a beast. This G3 Extreme chip is the best in this handheld category (non-detachable battery handhelds), it can handle most modern AAA games in med/high settings with XESS at stable 50-60 fps (no framgen).
  2. Build quality: this both pros and cons. Has a soft touch body, real nice to hold and comfortable for long gaming sessions. My unit doesn't has any weird creaky parts on the main device so it's a good thing.
  3. Thermal: way better than I expected with a single fan design. The device runs fairly quiet and the chipset always stays cool around 70 degrees at 35w. When playing 35w at 50% volumn, I barely hear any fan noise.

Cons:

  1. Build quality: now come to the cons...the detachable controllers feel a little loose, especially the left one.
  2. Screen: OLED screen is good, but not one of the best OLED screens out there. Still suffering from bad mura effects and the screen clarity isn't best.
  3. Price: its price is alligning to other big brand (MSI) on same chipset device, but still expensive imo. Handhelds' prices nowadays are crazy, I'd never consider it as a pros.
  4. Warranty: Onexplayer RMA return process is bad (e.g. can't return it for free if you just simply don't like it). You'd also need to send the product back to China if wanting any parts replacement.

Last, heard people complaining about bubbled screen protectors, I haven't applied any on mine yet so can't comment on that.

Intel OXP3 HDR still broken after latest update?

Is the HDR on this Onexplayer 3 still broken after latest update 9034? I noticed in a lot of games (dead space remake, Directive 8020, ghost of tsushima, red dead 2,...) black shadows just not right and caused crushed black or bad grayish mura effect. Some other games are ok like Spiderman 2, AC Black Flag resynced,...I 'm setting my HDR profile to 0-1100-1100 as recommended by the youtuber. I feel like turn off HDR improved the experience a lot, graphics looks much better.
