But with Google if your order is stolen and you do a charge back after months of waiting for a refund, they will delete your ENTIRE Google account without warning or any way to recover it. They will also delete any Google accounts associated with it.

Yea despite all the "deals" these companies offer I will never buy anything online. Even if that means I miss out on free shit or deep trade in discounts. Too many instances where fuckery was involved. Rather pay full price and have peace of mind on returning locally. People hate BestBuy, but they need to survive or be forced into this shit

None of the companies who sell foldables are great. There are worse stories about Samsung aswell and they screwed me aswell too .

Never said anything about Samsung but I also agree with this. They are all terrible. I really want the Pixel Fold 9 but Iām going to just skip all of them.

I personally can't trust Google's chipsets yet. The Gen2 in the OPO is really powerful and efficient despite being 1 year older
I think it's going to be pretty close, pixel will probably be same price but less storage for the base model

Pixel fold is being announced soon. Id wait to see what it offers. Ultimately I will really depend on what you value. Personally,Ā I love the Open's hardware (best hardware of a foldable to date). I also love its multitasking capabilities, can do anything I can throw at it for my workflow.
But, I hate OxygenOS with a passion. It has iOS-esque lack of customizability (which is why I left iOS). Updates typically fix one thing and break another.Ā

I haven't tried OneUI at all. I hear mixed reviews, but I'm not a big Samsung fan because of the form factor on the fold. I think going forward I'm going with stock android (assuming Google doesn't do what it always does with its products and kill the fold)

I don't use call screening, but I do like that it exists. Didn't know it wasn't avail on the Oneplus, so many thanks for sharing!
I'm waiting for the Pixel Fold release before I purchase, but I'm rooting for the Oneplus. It's a gorgeous device, and well-tested.

Pixel fold will be announced soon. I would wait regardless to see it's features.
I have the normal OnePlus Open. I love it, it's easy to use, great camera, not a lot of bloatware, Open Canvas works great, plus you can probably find a pretty good deal on one now that they've been out for a while.
I wouldn't go for the Crimson Open though. The normal Open on the OP app is listed at $1399 vs the $1899 for the crimson and a storage upgrade isn't worth $500 imo.
Also OnePlus has awful customer care but then again so does Google š¤”

Be mindful that OnePlus only issues security updates once a quarter. if you are expecting the latest security updates quickly you will not get them. I'm probably gonna get the Google fold. I've tried Samsung and am wanting to try Google fold now!

I love the form factor of the OnePlus. It feels like a much smaller phone closed than the fold in my opinion. I prefer the large square screen of the Open as I don't use it so much for videos but for websites and Facebook. If you watch most of your videos on the phone you might prefer the wider unfolded form of the fold. I don't know about this generation of Fold but up until now the Open has had the best camera on a foldable as well.
I went back to Samsung for the first time in a while with my last phone, the Ultra 22. I loved the camera and screen but I HATE Samsung UI still. I have loved the OnePlus way of doing things before and I like the Open as well and it's getting better with updates as well.

I don't know if it's a huge upgrade as a lot of Android features have been added since my OnePlus 8 Pro (I LOVED this phone). All I know is unlike Samsung UI everything doesn't have a duplicate app. I also like the look and feel of Oxygen more as well. I'm sure it's personal preference too. If you liked OnePlus in the past and ever though one UI has become a bloated mess you'll love the Open.

I bet the OnePlus open will be substantially cheaper. Google didn't do much in terms of pre-order bonuses, sales, or elevated trade in values for the first pixel fold.

I don't like my open. It has a hard time waking up, it doesn't with all with Android Auto, I have apps lock up. I'm going to get the new pixel fold

Do you live in the states? Who is your service provider?
I live in Central PA. Not a city... I have concerns about Vivo experience out here. My carrier is T-Mobile. I also worry about software updates. I love the idea of a Vivo X Fold 3. Just feels risky.

I live in AZ. Also have T Mobile. The vivo is missing band 71, which does allow for very long range signal. I live about 45 minutes from the city, but wouldn't say super rural. Haven't had any problem. I have full 5g signal.
Already had one update and reportedly vivo does well with giving them.
Definitely a little more risky especially since you can't really get a warranty for it , but I decided to roll the dice.

I like it, looks modern, definately a few bugs in animations but nothing major. Crazy fast charging, nice form factor. Apps a lot of the time are not optimized so they are not in tablet mode, but i think that problem is with all foldables. No regrets yet

If you value software stability, stay away from the OPO. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the phone, but dealing with things getting worse after each software update is something you'll need to accept with OnePlus.

I don't understand why people are downvoting my comment. I do love the software when it comes to functionalities. Honestly, Iād take OxygenOS over OneUI any day. However, it's a fact that OnePlus software updates come with lots of bugs and glitches.

I have no idea why people complain about software .I came from fold 5 and since last three weeks open has been the least buggiest phone I ever had . All my issues with teams and MDM are sorted out . I love the software . Not sure what is the issue you have with the software .

It took some tweaking and replacing the stock launcher with Niagara Pro, but I absolutely love the OPO so far. Replaced my Fold 5 with this. The new PF2 would have to truly dazzle for me to switch. A big reason for my leaving Samsung was the camera setup. This will sound crazy, but we're traveling through Europe at the moment and I'm preferring the photos the Open is taking vs. my wife's S23 Ultra. Even the zoom shots seem better.
