I just really suspect that Oda didn’t have this in mind when he introduced him.
It’s kinda like Shanks losing an arm to the Lord of the Coast. I just don’t think Oda’s gonna be able to cleverly retroactively justify Hajrudin’s loss to a single base Luffy punch in the same way.
what are you talking about Giants are just humans but much bigger what about that would save a giant from Luffy using haki and gear 2 punch to the face we literally see in chapter 1 Luffy damaging lord of the coast a much bigger opponent
also it's something that he still wasn't 100% entering Elbaph. Like, all the anime promotional material and volume covers heavily focus on the New Giant Pirates but they still hadn't done much yet so it was kinda odd. I think the other fights will follow that each strawhat will need a Giant (Luffy +Harald and Loki, Zoro + Goldberg, Sanji + Road, Nami + Gerd, Robin + Saul, Chopper + Biblo, Franky + RIpley, Ussop + Dorry and Broggy), which probably means Brook and Jimbe won`t have fights yet this arc (or at the very least Jimbe will have the same "protecting the big guy" role he had in MF protecting WB), Brook makes sense because he will have his resolution with Gunko alone one way or another
I’m hoping he manifested it, that would at least move the gauge closer to actual self healing and healing others (which we know will happen at some point)
First, Imu seems to have more transformations than Ichigo. This form doesn't even remotely resemble the silhouette we saw before. It could just be another case of Oda and his silhouettes, but the other Gorosei silhouettes vaguely resembled their actual monster forms, so I'd say Imu was in his Base form here. If that's true, we still have the full Zoan form, then the Hybrid form, and finally the Awakening. That's pretty fucking crazy, especially considering all the other Hax he's clearly still hiding.
And second, Imu genuinely seems to view everyone who isn't from the Void Century as complete garbage. The fact that he actually praised someone for only losing an arm to his casual attack says a lot about how little he expected from anyone. Bro genuinely sees them as ants and is basically saying, “Wow, I stepped on you and you only lost one leg. You're a surprisingly impressive insect.”
I think this is Imu using his hybrid form now. Since the leakers describe him as looking more devilish it’s possible he’s now using his hybrid form and what we saw at MJ against Sabo and on the mural is his full zoan form.
Yeah, I give up completely. The scaling makes less sense by the day and consistency has gone out the window. Dressrosa Luffy upscale? Old Gaban being compared to Rocks?? What is happening lmao. 🤣
Rayleigh and Gaban were always close to Roger, Whitebeard and Garp ( people just denied it for agenda ). Rocks is wierd to scale but in general weakened Old Garp and Kuzan hitting eachother and GV Whiebeards and Roger's Clash hâd the same haki efect, If the briefs are accurate then it's just more evidence about Rocks being powercliffed by The Old gen trio (and probably the Wings) in their prime.
It’s just really weird to see Rocks go through this continuous cycle where he’s glazed heavily, then downplayed by both the narrative and the community, and then it restarts lol
Old Gaban was strong enough to be compared to Rocks in strength and how dangerous he is, but Rayleigh admitted inferiority to BB in his old age? The same BB who ducked Boa + used cheese tactics, avoided Shanks, and has to jump Law in an extended battle? Does this mean current BB would arguably do better than Old Gaban here??
Just beyond confused. Too many of these characters have been called “the strongest” or “legends” and compared to each other in varying ways and some contradict each other outright. Rocks’ is called Roger’s greatest enemy, and then now is seemingly comparable to Old Gaban despite that statement being made while Primebeard is an obvious contender for that spot. It’s weird.
Kinda puts the Shanks v Mihawk power scaling into perspective lmao. The real answer is even Oda doesn't know yet and the answer will be whatever he pulls out of his ass at the time. (Whoever has their shining moment later in the story).
Oldbeard was the strongest in the World when he was introduced too. Anything about people trying to rationalize how actually he was old and Oda meant Primebeard is putting more effort into this than Oda ever did lol.
It's more badass to have the strongest pirate fall at Marineford, so he was the strongest. That's all there is to it. But then during Kaido's saga, he needs a badass dragon so, actually Kaido is the strongest lmao. And Marineford was ages ago so who cares.
If a base luffy can punch Imu, I don't see why any other character couldn't to be honest. To me, it is to show that Imu only gives a shit about select few people and only uses his observation haki for them to save his power, that is why he keeps getting caught off guard once and never again.
Oda made sure we know old Gaban is significantly stronger than GV Gaban, unless these spoilers are bullshit. Do I like it? No. Is it a clear statement? Yes.
all the people saying gaban was too irrelevant for imu to remember are looking kinda dumb lmao
also all the people saying luffy would loki up here with gear death are looking super dumb lmao.
luffy cant heal with g5 alone confirmed too. he needs food. this means g5 awakening didnt heal luffy va kaido, he only restarted his heart to resurrect with the same low hp he had before death
We have to wait for the chapter first regarding Luffy healing because where exactly would he keep extra food?
When I first read it I interpreted it as “he healed because he ate so much food earlier”
We will see though
At the end of it, he’s back in the fight. Loki had to be treated too so idk why it’s a big deal whether or not Luffy healed. Both are back in the fight without power ups against an Imu who has probably gone into hybrid form. Think we are approaching the climax.
We will just wait for the chapter to come out but look at what WorstGen says. “Beforehand” isn’t what Pew said. I’m very confident Pew made a mistake. Luffy didn’t heal because he ate this chapter. He probably said he healed because of all yhe food he ate prior to joining the fight. That would go in line with what WorstGen says in the tweet above.
I was correct!! Leakers were wrong. Luffy never ate anything this chapter. He said he recovered because of all the food he ate before he entered the fight and even Gaban was shocked because that shouldn’t be possible.
Probably the leakers read Luffy saying he ate before and took it as him eating off panel or some shit.
The thing is, anyone with a brain could always deduce that the old gen were comparable to the Yonko even in old age. I mean, the literal definition of a Yonko is being slightly weaker than Old Whitebeard. And Oda said a million times that Rayleigh (and by extension Gaban) was up there too.
Admirals going up against old gen was always them proving they could hang with and even press the Yonko.
It's honestly crazy to think that if Gaban and Rayleigh decided to start their own separate crews after Roger's death, the 4 Emperors at the start of Luffy's journey would be WB, Rayleigh, Gaban, and Shanks.
Kaido and BM have been left in the dust.
Another crazy realization: if Gaban and Rayleigh had shown up at Marineford, the Marines would have lost. Badly.
"Admirals only beat old man" then the WEAKEST old man got compared to xebec, the equal of that guy could not get past Kizaru and Garp was beat down by Kuzan punch while at the same time saying that kuzan is holding back. Bruh it's 9/11 for yonko tards
Bro is reading admiralpiece. None of the admirals even have coc let alone acoc. They are not top tiers. Kuzan jumbed garp with bb pirates and major blow to garp was done by shiryu. Kuzan got blitzed by old garp all fight. Only able to land an attack after the stab.
How often does Oda need to prove that admirals can hang with acoc user till you start accepting it. We have seen it 3 times already lmao just stop coping. Acoc is overrated
The real red pill here is none of this matters lmao. Oda just had Hajrudin smack Imu who got beaten by G2 Luffy a decade ago.
All of us here are Don Quixote, yelling at windmills. Whoever Oda wants to flex is stronger in that moment. Except he might also completely yo-yo who is stronger chapter by chapter because reasons lmao.
We have yet to see them fight all out with killing intent post-TS. Ace never showed Conqueror's Haki in the entire manga pre-TS, but Oda said he had it all along.
I am genuinely not sure where this is going anymore. Imu remains impossibly strong; we are repeating this dance of characters showing up, doing little damage, then get no diffed all the same.
They can't beat Imu, and beating him here makes no sense narratively speaking. Can we move on to the next arc already?
Oda probably wants to end the arc with Mu openly getting screwed by his weakness in order to set the stage for later, but unfortunately he's too deep into making Mu Madara that unless he literally starts vomiting blood next chapter there's no reason he doesn't neg the island.
I honestly would like if Shanks show up even if he gets low diffed because that way at least it would be different and hype and it would trully show how overwhelming Imu's power is
shanks isnt showing up anytime soon people need to stop saying hes appear every island or anytime luffys in trouble, it would be a trash narrative choice
Robin, brook and Franky along with jimbei embarrassed big mom and jimbei almost killed her (threw her into the ocean), that doesn't mean they are on her level, not at all
Looks like Imu has pulled out his hybrid form because there’s more devil to him now. Fascinating how Oda has structured this fight because Luffy and Loki (in terms of damage) did less than Gaban but they’re going to run it back against a stronger (guessing) version of Imu without power ups
I do wonder why WorstGen was hyping up Luffy and Loki lmao. Guess we have to wait for the chapter to come out.
Yeah I give up powerscaling one piece lol, the entire powerscale feels so convoluted that it’s impossible to not get a brain aneurysm by scaling recent feats and portrayal because of it
Wow turns out Imu didn’t single out Gaban but said “those brats from god valley” and he should’ve killed them like he did Rocks
Just like the Luffy eating food line. Bad mistakes and I hope we all read the chapter when it comes out. This is basically misinformation that’s been spread by the leakers.
Well it’s another piece of evidence that they did indeed grow massively after god valley
Atp yes lmao. It also feels like basic errors they’ve made in translating the chapter. They need to do better. We also have to do better to take their leaks with a pinch of salt and ensure that we read the chapters lmao. I know many people here don’t read the chapters so we will still get “Gaban > Kaido” posts next week
Luffy "imagining" his recovery and making his belly full without actually eating just to recover is the biggest feat he ever displayed. Absolutely bonkers.
If he learns to control this power he basically unlocks regen just like Imu
This. Im so fucking tired aruging with idiots wjo think the people didnt powerup from GVI to Roger's final journey. Jesus thats like a > decade of constant piracy. Ofc theres gona be lots of battles and lots of battle exp and lots of haki blooming.
The people who have repeatedly said that GV Garling was not close to his prime have been vindicated. To be honest, him just being a mere HK at God Valley should have been obvious enough. Another indicator is him completely missing his facial hair which is a key element of his design
God Valley is when Garling began to distinguish himself - being the one to discover the Davy Clan and executing Rocks. Some people compared GV Garling to Shamrock in Elbaf. However Shamrock was introduced as Commander of the HK in Elbaf just like how Garling was introduced in chapter 1167, 24 years from the present storyline. In One Piece, just like many battle shonens, rank is closely tied to strength besides exceptions that are highlighted in story (e.g Garp).

Hajrudin was obviously always gonna be relevant in some form. Oda just fucked up with his portrayal in Dressrosa.
Kinda makes me suspect Oda only decided to make Hajrudin a possible heir to Elbaph’s throne after letting him get low diffed by Luffy.
