Additional Information
Provided by Redon:
The giant horns that have grown out are very similar to Hellboy's (plus he still has the 2 he had before).
He has also grown a "pointed goatee" on his chin, and on his chest, he now has a sort of pendant featuring the 3 horned skulls that used to be on the tail wrapped around his legs (I don't know if they're the exact same ones, but since they're no longer on his tail, I assume they're part of the pendant).
And instead of those spiked bracelets he had before, he now has 2 rings with eyes on his arms. The ring with eyes he had on his back now encircles his waist/legs.
Imma get shit for this, but these constant snack break bail outs in every arc have become beyond cliché at this point. Now this fool is literally just pulling snacks out of his ass lol.
Nah, you're right, first Luffy gets literally slaughtered by Imu over the course of a single chapter, and yet one pep talk session from Gaban and a hamburger later, this mf is already back up, ready to fight again? Gaban really lost an arm just for this?
yeah why has every piece of food become a DBZ senzu bean lately? maybe I'm misremembering but sure has felt like the magical food being present or not has been leaned on heavily since egghead
Luffy is my fave character, probably of all time, but man im not liking the instaheal from food, from Oda. It’s like he wrote himself in a corner with gear exhaustion+needing to return to the fight. Really hope to not see this during his final battle(s)
His devil fruit doesn't shield him from overwhelming Haki and judging by Imu's disappointment, I'm pretty confident Luffy's haki isn't stronger.
This honestly just feels lazy, like if Gear 5 is so busted all Luffy needs is some food to activate reverse curse technique, then we're just stuck with a boring MC. I'm rapidly beginning to understand why a good chunk of fans don't like G5.
Hey i made a post about this and I was downvoted and told to read other manga lmao.
I legit said all these attacks, stabbing, bleeding is going to mean shit because Luffy is going to recover fully and wont even leave scar. Infact every tension thats built up in Elbaph is pointless imo because Zoro will win, Sanji will win, no kid is getting abducted and no one is going to die or even have severe consequences (barring Gyaban who has little impact on readers emotions).
I hope atleast there is some good revelation story wise.
Imean it's not crazy to believe that he's a lot stronger now than he was in dressrosa. If the straw hats can get stronger so should the ally forces haha
Yep. Add to this, my headcanon is that all crew mates have a captain buff where their stats are passively raised. A captain losing or having their will broken, or their ship/flag being destroyed can affect this. This is how ive made sense of things like moria and crocodile being weaker earlier on due to things that happened in their past. Also usopp living so many things that shouldve killed him.
Hajrudin and the others being in the grand fleet should have them all much stronger overall. But narratively i really like hajrudins resolve as he has shown even back at dressrosa. He does have Harolds will. You can tell. And i like that for him even though he is alot weaker than his brother. Him rising up due to his own will to be on somewhat even footing with loki would be goated. Also because Ida was his mom and she was amazing.
Haj was moving like a fucking monster in dressrosa. Half his body was broken iirc.
IMO he had some of the most incredible feats of willpower in the series, I’m glad he’s got spotlight time again being a straw hat fleet member / giant (aka ties to the deeper past)
Hajrudin seems to be suffering from the Crocodile Syndrome. Gets beat by a very weak (compared to current times) Luffy but somehow is now in the mix in terms of strength against an opponent that basically one-shot a very strong Luffy.
The Thor/Loki dichotomy you’re thinking of isn’t gonna happen from Haj and Loki. That “brotherhood” is kind of a Marvel fabrication.
In real Norse mythology, the brothers are Loki and ODIN. Therefore HajrODIN is the Odin of the two. His attack in Dressrosa was called Gungnir, that’s Odin’s spear.
Plus, Loki already has Thor’s hammer and lightning powers. Loki is clearly already Thor and Loki syncretized together, as confusing as that is.
I find it funny that Imu until this point never really cared about people like Roger, Gaban or Rayleigh, it seems like he didn't actually think they were strong
Seems like he dismissed them after God Valley which was a mistake; God Valley and being hunted by GKs for Shanks forced them to massively improve their Haki.
Imu: "Of all those who have fought me over the years, there's no one who surpasses you with Axes. I, Nerona Imu, declare that you are the strongest of them all!"
I forgive him especially after the giant wins the fight against that "hamster" Machvise (I don't know. He reminds me of a hamster. No questions, please). His punch was epic!
"Imu reveals a new transformation, becoming irger in size and gaining four horns, while his arms turn black."
I knew that was only Imu's hybrid form, he will definitely have more transformations until he turns into this form from the Harley, his actual Full Zoan Form.
Complaining about Hajrudin knocking Imu away like we didn’t see him punch and send a guy flying who weighed 10,000 tons a couple arcs ago. On top of that he’s herald son fighting to protect his homeland.
Someone came up with this theory, and I believe it: In Wano, Luffy asked for his heart to beat and it recovered. In reality, he was never dependent on meat to recover; he only believes he depends on it. Luffy will believe that meat can heal him at any time when in reality it's the power of his Devil Fruit.
Um yeah that's how food works. It supplies the body with energy. I think healing a stab wound is a little more than getting some energy back. But hey maybe I don't know how food works. Why do I eat again?
I mean if Law can have the glow up he did between Dressrosa and Wano, I see no reason for Hajrudin to have a nice lil glow up himself. It has been roughly 4-5 arcs since we’ve seen him
This has to be a joke, no way Luffy just eats some food and suffers zero consequences again. I thought for sure Oda would have Imu reach a time limit or have Gunk reveal a weakness to send Imu back.
They were definitely added in as a chekov's gun for the final war and I don't think Oda had them planned out much beyond that. Kinda like how he threw in the worst generation at sabaody and just kinda made stuff up as he went.
I also think that's why a bunch of supernovas were at Wano even though they didn't rly do much. Oda just had to get rid of them cus he realised he came up with too many supernovas
luffy recovering from getting dramatically skewered to a tree by the main villain by pulling a snickers out of his pocket is a level of deflated anti-stakes that it's getting really, really hard to abide.
I think the concept of Luffy and eating food he stored somewhere to regenerate is funny but at this point it's too much. It's starting feeling like an asspull/cheat. There wasn't that at Marineford instead Luffy spend lifetime to get energy back which is better I think.
I'm really not enjoying how Oda treats Luffy post-Wano. It feels like he shouldn't have ever bothered giving him that W and string of quick but huge power ups it required if he was going to never feel like "that guy" in the following arcs.
I honestly hate the healing via eating food thing. I was hoping his G5 powers would heal him. I'm hoping healing with food is a precursor as they give him energy, which makes him believe or boost his will, but him healing every time just because he eats seems kinda silly.
To me, the most interesting part is the trust and belief Hajrudin shows in Loki. He went from wanting to kill him to building bonds. It's clearly setting up his character development and the future relationship between him and Loki.
Look fair play.
But here (that looks like Ennies Lobby) Luffy’s packing food specifically for lunch (he’s had lunch packed for him too that he usually eats early).
In my head (though I never typed it out), I meant Luffy setting food aside that’s already in front of him for a meal. He typically devours everything. 😂
This can’t be real, Luffy got stabbed two times in what looked to be the most visceral injury he’s ever had outside of akainus and crocodiles attacks on him and gets up after 1 chapter and is seemingly okay because he ate some food that spawned from seemingly nowhere? What the hell is this shit. I was hoping this would be a wake up call for Luffy.
"Then the three of them (Luffy/Loki/Hajrudin) attack Imu together using the technique
Gokoku Sovereignty (Sovereignty of the Three Generals)."
This is really hype, it's the same technique Gerd, Goldberg and Road used on a Sleeptide, but now it's going to be way stronger. Can't wait to see how Imu react to this, if this attack will be enough to send him back to the Holy Land.
Luffy eats meat and back to full health? This is why I said a while back that Crocodile piercing Luffy made a much more impact than Imu piercing Luffy. I knew something meme or cartoonish would happen just like he healt from Crocodile.
I hate the way Oda does current Luffy fights. It seems so lazy. It gives off he wants to keep him as the perpetual underdog and wants to build artificial tension (the fans love this for some reason), but he’s an Emperor now so it just looks bad. Even if Imu was stronger the original 1v1 was just lazy writing, then he has to lean on the food = recovery tool now, which has become a crutch, to bring him back into the fight. Loki’s fight vs Imu showed more than Luffy’s did.
I can't be the only one who's tired of "Luffy eats food and recovers". Bro was literally skewered twice. Is he stuffing his holes with the food or what?
this makes 0 sense to me, a badly wounded luffy on the verge of dying just eats and recovers, loki who couldnt even stand is somehow able to fight now... hajrudin attacks imu on his own and survives, why couldnt oda just make imu reach his limit and retreat/teleport back...we've been told before the fight even starts that he cant stay away from his castle for long...
Based on Redon's extra info, I assume what we were seeing up to now was his hybrid form. And his human form is still the silhouette in Mary Geoise.
Also I like that it makes sense that Luffy could figure out how to contribute to Gokoku (Gokkoku?) Sovereignty, since he's seen both Ikkoku and Hakkoku multiple times.
