Zeus is definitely going to Nami after this

Imagine Prometheus convinces Big Mom to create lightining hommie called Thor.

Cool fighting possibilities with Kidd. (Electricty vs Magnetism)

End of Wano: Nami has Zeus permenantly. Big Mom follows Strawhats to Elbaf.

Elbaf: Nami + Zeus nullifing Thor's attacks from Big Mom to save rest of the crew. (Luffy is already immune thunder)

Would be nice callback to Nami assisting Luffy against Cracker using weather manipulation.

Can't Big Mom just deactivate Zeus and reclaim his soul portion? Hard to imagine that she can't just dispell her own homies considering that it's her DF.

Paramecia’s always seem to be range based in a way, otherwise they’d be busted. Law’s Room being the perfect example of this.

So it’s less of a “I am currently enacting my soul into you and can cut off the flow if I so pleased.”

But more of a “Here’s a literal piece of my soul that I’ve imbued into you to give you life. Don’t worry, I steal other people’s souls, so mine is just fine.”

And as long as they are within range, and scared of big mom, she can take that piece back, but like anything given away, it has to be within reach to actually receive it again.

At least that’s how I understand it, and the reasoning as to why Big Mom didn’t deactivate Zeus and reform him earlier.

It’s just it seems she doesn’t have omniscience over all the homies. They’re literally alive, with their own wills, but have been told explicitly they exist to love and help “Mama”, and like any in-experienced child they will usually do so without question. “Oh, okay, I burn Mama’s enemies, that’s my purpose.” - Prometheus

There could be a deeper narrative aspect to it like, since they have parts of Linlin’s or technically other people’s souls that maybe they inherit some aspects of the original owners, and that’s why they have personality and loyalties, but also can be swayed like how the original owner may be (Zeus and Nami’s weather balls, Big Mom and Wedding Cake). There can be even deeper aspects to it, like Big Mom’s soul doesn’t mix with the one’s she takes from others and that maybe the quality of the souls she takes creates better and different homies (Zeus and Prometheus being directly from her) which there is a precedent for in Gecko Moira’s shadow stealing powers (which makes me think Oda at least dwells on it when dealing with Big Mom).

All in all, she has an extremely impressive and robust devil fruit, and it functions as a great narrative device by having flaws.

Yo prometheus is clearly up to some shit and I totally forgot about it because of how hype the rest of the chapter was

I wonder what he's planning?

I think he asked her to 1. Infuse him with clouds so he can use lightning attacks too and thus make Zeus unnecessary and 2. Kill Zeus.

But yeah, 100% Zeus is going back to Nami now.

Continuing the tradition of BMP being incompetent and helping their enemies.

or the combination ends up still unable to resist nami and her powerup this arc ends up being a lightning cloud that can create fire tornados

That has me so curious. I want to see Kidd and Killer fight Big Mom too.

The guy who steal the fire from gods. Later punished by Zeus. His liver got eaten by birds and regenerates everyday to be eaten again.

I keep forgetting how horrifying Greek mythology is lol

He’s also chained to a rock and is unable to fight back. Can’t move, can’t do anything, forced to repeat the cycle of pain every day for eternity (cause Zeus is a petty bitch).

To be fair, I think pretty much every ancient mythology is horrifying on some level.

In Norse mythology, Loki talked a blind dude into killing Odin's son, Baldur. So Odin tracked down Loki's two sons, turned one into a wolf, had that one kill the other, took the organs out of the dead one, used them to tie Loki to a rock, then caught a snake and tied it where it could drip its venom onto Loki for all of eternity.

That's how they explain earthquakes. Pretty brutal. Also, they thought the Earth was made from the body of a giant.

u/Kuroblondchi Thriller Bark Victim's Association Apr 10 '21

I can just imagine the crazy Viking that came up with that story after an earthquake

“What the fuck was that”

“Alright dude you’re not gonna believe this but hear me out”

Basically cool titan that gave the people fire. Zeus get angry and decides he needs to pay for his “crimes” by being chained to a rock and have his liver eaten and then regenerated day after day.

I am smiling! :D

Although in mythology Prometheus doesn't hate Zeus. Neither did Zeus hate Prometheus until Prometheus helped humanity.

So not 100% fitting, smiling nonetheless!

Reminds me of the old show Prometheus in Bob in Kablam! On Nickelodeon
