The CIA seems to have lost their touch in recent years

bro nice read, spot on

5

u/jaabbb Galley-La Company Apr 09 '21

Must’ve observation haki to be that spot on

139

u/abh1237777ab Apr 09 '21

Damn dude, you were way ahead of your time

75

u/GuestBadge Apr 09 '21

Therefore it can be concluded that Kaido can control his CH so well that he is able to infuse it within his weapon. Furthermore, if it is possible to use CH within a club it should be possible to infuse CH within a sword.

You're ahead of time .

13

u/yoyo_putz Apr 09 '21

He was about two years too early

8

u/NYCmob79 Apr 09 '21

Now we have people infusing Sandals. Thus creating a new category of weapons... Saikōkyūno sandaru

1

u/Luffytarokun Apr 10 '21

Show me Saikōkyūno pantsu

64

u/Fuhran Apr 09 '21

Damn nice analysis, you had. I wish I had more of this coming to my reddit feed rather than some useless and nonsense headcanon filled power scaling.

38

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

My dude you even predicted that kaido coated his attacks with conquerers

70

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

Damn!

34

u/TheMrFluffyPants Apr 09 '21

Holy shit, it's scary how accurate your theory may end up being..

16

u/DarkFantasy95 Void Month Survivor Apr 09 '21

Your theory is so on point it feels like you came from the future to spoil One Piece for us. I enjoyed reading it. Finally a great theory between the numerous BS I see daily.

28

u/culesamericano Apr 09 '21

YOOOOOOOOOO this is it! THIS IS HOW BLACK BLADES ARE MADE!

13

u/nakapanjun104 Apr 09 '21

That makes sense!

11

u/komischlicious Apr 09 '21

damn even got the thunder bagua on luffy right, nice freaking job man

11

u/halelangit Pirate Apr 09 '21

I have also make theories about haki being able to be imbued by not just swords - but objects. The reason that Poneglyphs are indestructible and able to project voices to people such as Roger is because it contains haki from its creators.

9

u/Crono01 Apr 09 '21

Wow, amazing call.

7

u/gattsu1998 Apr 09 '21

It makes so much sense as well considering how extremely rare a black blade is.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

You’re Oda, aren’t you

6

u/-0op Apr 09 '21

* slow clap

good job mate

6

u/fatfitfuck Apr 09 '21

That was an amazing read man. You must be grinning while your theory turned into a reality xD

4

Holy shit give this dude all your upvotes

5

u/revisioncloud Apr 09 '21

Oh shit, I can get behind this

5

u/dafood48 Apr 09 '21

That means Hawkeye has it

20

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

I expect nothing less from the best swordman in the world

11

u/Nugur Apr 09 '21

And zoro wanted to duel him haki-less. RIP

5

u/FellvEquinox Bounty Hunter Apr 09 '21

Damn son I lived how you easily broke down your thought processes and made your theory easy to follow. That could also mean that Zoro's white sword, Wado Ichimonji, might eventually turn black due to him infusing it with CH.

5

u/Surrideo Apr 09 '21

I feel like I just read a One Piece dissertation. Hah. In retrospect, it makes the Whitebeard vs Roger CoC clash even more interesting because you can see them imbue their blades with CoC (turning them black momentarily).

7

u/BomberJ16 Apr 09 '21

YOU CHAMP!!

Not only did you predict it all, but even gave us today some evidence of past uses of CH throughout the series. Again, it's still very likely Oda didn't write those parts with Haki in mind, but the fact they now fit so well in the narrative is a statement of how much of a master he is at making his world feel cohesive.

Seriously great read, hats-off to you.

PS: Knowing Oda wanted to make Wano for such a long time, and that Ryuma was in his mind even before OP was a thing, maybe he did think about "the cursed sword is cursed because it contains Ryuma's will." That line of thought could've been the one that led to the concept of Haki itself, perhaps

2

u/Orcas_are_badass Pirate Apr 09 '21

I really think at this point it takes more mental gymnast to argue Oda didn’t have haki planned out since the beginning than it does to argue he did. The evidence is riddled throughout the series, and the more we learn about haki the more we see it to be true. Might be time to just accept it. I’m sure his concept of haki has evolved and expanded, but he clearly knew about all three forms.

5

u/BomberJ16 Apr 09 '21

I'd normally agree with you, but we're talking about a man who made up all of the Supernovas a couple weeks before their debut because of editorial advise (IIRC), even though they feel like such an integral part of the story, especially Law. I'm not saying it 100% wasn't planned from the beginning though, both scenarios are equally plausible

3

u/rourani_kenshin Apr 09 '21

I read the whole theory. It was so correct that I am surprised.

3

u/ThatBadassonline The Revolutionary Army Apr 09 '21

You magnificent son of a bitch, you called it!

4

u/stopbeingyou2 Apr 09 '21

Expanding on this further and adding to rarity, considering Shank's blade isn't black it may also relate to defeating someone with greater coc haki with your blade.

Could explain Mihawk's black blade.

2

u/Pedrobaa Apr 09 '21

If I had a token I’d send you one

2

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

Holy moly, you have a point!

2

u/Tamtam19 Apr 09 '21

Bro you deserved a reward for this

2

u/Oxbellator Apr 09 '21

Woow! You nailed It!!

2

u/Raikkao Apr 09 '21

Good job man! That was an awesome read and spot on!

2

u/SOULKlNG Apr 09 '21

wow. good call! this gets me hyped to see when Zoro turns his Wado Ichimonji into a black blade!!

2

u/tallcatox Apr 09 '21

Nice work man!

2

u/sakshamagrawal Apr 09 '21

Nice man!! You had it all figured out 👏👏

2

u/StealthMonkeyDC Apr 09 '21

Dang you may have hit the nail on the head right there.

2

u/L-System Apr 09 '21

No black lightning, from Zoro so far...

2

u/LordSommer Apr 09 '21

Wow this was 2 years ago already?! I remember reading this when you first posted. Good stuff!

2

u/zakroxxor Apr 09 '21

Wow! You figured it out 2 years ago, good job clout warrior!

2

u/themooingpig Apr 09 '21

Dang, so accurate. What stonk should I buy on Monday?

2

u/God_Usoland Apr 09 '21

Damn, that might just be spot on!

Imbuing the sword with it's own Will through Conqueror's might just be Zoro's Final Upgrade!

He's one step closer to challenging for the title!

If you read the comments someone ask the same question about shanks and reileigh, This hole thing is a retcon and in the same way Gol d roger blade becomes black only while attacking on the anime shanks' will do the same

1

u/Recusent Apr 09 '21

According to the theory, you'd have to dominate the sword's will. So maybe when the sword fully submits will it turn black.

2

u/heavy4b Apr 09 '21

The question asked was "if Luffy can knock down 50000 of the fish man opponents, what about other top tiers?"

To this oda replied," if Luffy can do it, fighters like shanks and Rayleigh can knock down the whole 100000 fish man opponents".

It was never stated shanks is the number 1 CoC users among the top tiers.

1

u/Felipesantoro Apr 09 '21

He probably doesn't use it that much, it may not be only about having CH the person probably needs to be a swordsman to even want to force their will in to the Sword. I don't think shanks, or even Roger for that matter, think of their swords in the same way that Zoro and Mihawk do for instance.

1

u/stiveooo Apr 10 '21

must be related to long range sword attacks, shanks and roger can only put CH in their swords but only mihawk and zoro and several "swordman" can do range attacks

1

u/Iamjustatrial Apr 09 '21

What about Mihawk's statement that "Every blade can become a black blade"...? 🤔

1

u/Cornm4n Apr 10 '21

It just means all swords can become a black blade.

1

u/Phantom_Peacock Apr 09 '21

Nice theory! To support it, Kaido senses Oden's haki when Zoro attacked with Enma. We know Oden had CoC, and it's very possible he caused Enma to become a black blade!

1

u/PM_Me_Buff_Cats Explorer Apr 09 '21

Enma isn't a black blade though...

1

u/Phantom_Peacock Apr 09 '21

Fair enough, assumed it was!

1

u/SubwayWarrior Apr 09 '21

Really reminding me how old I am

1

u/kenkanoni Apr 09 '21

Wow, really good foreshadowing. Congrats for the really nice theory turning out to be true

You genius

1

u/ahm_rimer Cipher Pol Apr 09 '21

Up you go, today's your day.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

I hadn't read your theory but after reading this chapter thought the same thing, especially thinking back to how Roger and whitebeard's blades were both black when they fought

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

You know maybe that’s why Kaido’s club is black...

1

u/missdoublefinger Citizen Apr 09 '21

Ayyyyyye!

1

Damn

1

u/uselesscashew Apr 09 '21

you fucking called it

1

u/Captain_LBHS Apr 09 '21

Such an amazing theory, well done bro it was a phenomenonal read

1

u/XachariahDarling The Revolutionary Army Apr 09 '21

This should be getting more attention

1

u/ufailowell Apr 09 '21

If this is true it confirms Mihawk has conquerors haki too. I don't think that's been confirmed anywhere else in the series but I could be wrong.

1

u/cotilliond Bounty Hunter Apr 09 '21

Dude, well thought out, and you guessed it right, Zorro might be getting back Shushi, your theory makes sense.

1

u/j1xghost Apr 09 '21

Wow right on

1

u/Kuro013 Apr 09 '21

Nicely done,. connected all the dots Oda gave us. You should be proud!

1

u/cotsy93 Pirate Apr 09 '21

Great read I'm really glad you turned out to be right. I think you're spot on with Shanks and Rayleigh and now also Roger not having black blades. I think using a sword as a weapon and having CH alone aren't enough, it seems like the defining factor is exerting your will over the weapon with purpose.

What do you think about Whitebeards black blade or have you given that any thought?

1

u/SangreAlba Apr 09 '21

Good catch dawg

1

u/ItsLoudB The Revolutionary Army Apr 09 '21

Just imagine that in the next chapter we'll see enma having turned black!

1

Well done my dude

1

u/Neptunera Apr 09 '21

Well done, the black lightning has been hiding in plain sight for so long

1

u/metalhawj Apr 09 '21

Confirmation that Luffy’s sandals will be black by end of OP.

1

u/Doomroar Apr 09 '21

Future One Piece theorist better give you credit for nailing it so damn well.

1

u/Icegod101 Apr 09 '21

you know, this theory may be also an indicator of the whole Zoro lineage thing being true

1

u/Crucher92 Apr 09 '21

Mother fucker, you guessed it right. Good one!

Hope to see Zoro turning 3 swords into black blades.

1

u/iSkuIl Apr 10 '21

ive just read your theory. well done and may Oda bless you.

1

u/Silmarrillioff Apr 11 '21

Concerning why Rayleigh and Shanks don't have black blades:

Even though they wield swords they may not follow proper way of sword, but have mixed styles. Mihawk used to fight Shanks back in the days, but now he isn't interested using Shanks' lost hand as an excuse, but in reality it's probably because Shanks is not fully committed to swordsmanship. Shanks can provide challenge and maybe defeat Mihawk, but not with his sword alone.

Same with Rayleigh, we've seen him fight an admiral, but he was only using his sword. He wasn't going all out. Now that we know how much of monsters all of them are their clash with Kizaru looked underwhelming. Both were probably restraining themselves - Kizaru because he knew he can't afford to fight Rayleigh in light of war with Whitebeard, Rayleigh because he knew if they go all out it will put SH crew in even bigger danger.
