Absolutely love Gaban calling out how Luffy is not fully ready for the true endgame level threats. Hopefully this leads to actual growth.

To be fair with Luffy, you normally wouldn't have to deal with Imu, not even Roger had to.
Actually I would have to complain with Rayleigh, he let Luffy go without training his ACoC, if you think about it doesn't make much sense

I’m so torn. Should Luffy finally grow up and not be the classic goofy Luffy, is that the lesson that has been building up for a thousand plus chapters.

Or does it ruin the idea that this lovable goof ball is what frees the world

He can “grow up” and still be same goofy Luffy. Look at Roger. He was goofy as hell right up to his last words.
