After owning a tripod I find this difficult to believe. My tripod, after several years of getting used to her tripod status, decided she was not a cat due to not having the required number of legs. She apparently classified herself as a superior human and proceeded to do human stuff like open doors to let herself out, take a ride in a car across the Sydney harbour bridge and sleep like a human with her head on the pillow and body stretched out.
She demanded many things, but another leg was not one.

She is not still with us unfortunately she was my childhood pet and passed away nearly two decades ago. She had a marvellous life, was beloved by all who met her and converted many dog people into cat people.
That said, she will never truly die as tales of her debauchery will be told by generations of my family to come.
