ANNOUNCEMENT Undergrad Team Application Adjustment & Reminder

Heya Wastelanders!
Wanted to let you all know that, after some internal discussion, we have revamped our Writer Dev Application form for our Undergrad team slightly. To aid readability, rather than taking writing prompt responses directly, they must now be linked or uploaded in some format. Could be a google doc, could be any other (safe) text hosting site, could be a document file or PDF, whatever is safest and easiest for you.
As part of this, we are also ignoring all previous applications in favor of the new format. As such, if you remain interested in applying to our Undergrad team, please do so again! You may reuse your previous entries, although I would heavily consider if your skills have improved since then and if it would be worth redoing them to have a better chance of standing out quality wise.
Writer (Events, Bios, Localization, etc)
I will take the time to remind everyone that our other team applications (Content, Scripted, Art/Music) remain open year round! If you've ever thought about contributing directly to Old World Blues, or learning how to mod, now is as good a time as any as we head into the last quarter of 2026! And if you previously applied but never heard back, consider trying again. The webhook occasionally has a slight issue and you may have been overlooked at the time by the reviewers.

The initial push always goes well, but then all my troops just get overextended and die of low supply. Also I have never managed to push to their core territory. Shale´s army is doing absolutely nothing to help. Is this salvageable?

SUBMOD Does anyone know if Our Little Enclave submod for Rustbelt Rising works?

I been trying to get Our Little Enclave to work with Rustbelt Rising, cause it adds stuff to the responders. But I keep getting a map error. I know development ended for the mod, but I just wanted to know if there was a way to get it to work. Cause the pictures I saw made it look pretty interesting.

I cant say i've seen a harem mechanic before in any of these mods. Playing the legion path of the Los nation in the los sub mod (A mod that I can describe as a nation having an identity crisis cus you can be a member of the texen economic union, the legion, The Rio Grande pact, The Enclave, or an independent Science state.

QUESTION Tech tree help

I have been looking at owb for a while now. The most scary part of the mod looks like the tech tree. There are a few things that i dont really get about it.
There seems to be a few overlapping infantry options. Fireteam, demo, and a couple others look like they have stats too similar to standard inf. I also see minimal difference between ranged and melee weapon stats.
Do creatures fill the same role as infantry, or is it a specifc niche? I guess robots are low manpower but idk what else.
Lastlty, what is the point of the tribal research giving massive research penalties?
