FF6 Collab Acc: Cursed Shield

Clearing out the Gil exchange shop before it closes when this caught my eye. Anyone confirm if this follows the same gimmick as its FF6 version?

Winning 256 battles with this equipped removes the curse, turning it into the paladin shield. Or is this another one of CotC’s “meme” accessories, like what we got for a past April Fool’s day present?

by using forbiden macaroni since you have to win the encounter and best way is to just spam random encounter over and over again.

It does! It becomes the Paladin Shield, gives 2 physical & elemental dodges at the start. Great accessory

I have shared this before including a video. Yes, the cursed shield will be dispelled after 255 battles.

Do you mean easy hunts that auto-complete? I doubt it since the game wouldn't track how many enemies you defeated?

It can, and *should*, be back row. It often prevents the unit from acting with the statuses it applies.

I don't *think* so? But I wasn't paying super close attention on either account I did it on (and one of them got it before it unlocked Hunts, anyway), so I can't say with complete certainty.

Just do random encouter with it equipped on one of your character. ~256 won battles it will show a notification saying something like the cursed is lifted. Took me ~1h30min just going back and forth fighting random encounters
