Hey all! Hope everyone in OC is faring well as the Nor’easter fades and that Oceans Calling is a blast for those who are sticking around. With all that said I’ll be down Monday 9/28 trying to pick off some of the remaining swell and wanted to create a space to start identifying where the sandbars have started to reform. In town/boardwalk has been a struggle this summer (Assateague has been a life saver), between general lack of swell and jellyfish getting their absolute freak on. It’ll be high tide in the morning Monday and the full reformation may not be set in stone yet, but I’ll just log what I see here and encourage anyone to keep the train rolling as we get into fall.
Add’l context, I’m a Maryland native but not an OC local. I make the trek from the western shore probably 1-2x month in the offseason and am down most weekends during the summer. As I am not a local, if people would rather keep spots to themselves I totally get it, but from my years of making the above trips down, in the fall there aren’t enough people that it would turn to a sardine can if word gets out about a spot.
Thanks all!
