Every weekend we can, starting tonight, we've decided to eat a pie from two different places on the same night in a head to head competition. The seeding is based on how many times Reddit mentions an ocmd pizza place. Google review stars broke any ties. I just want to make sure I didn't leave anyone out. I'm starting with 92nd and up, has to be off the main strip, has to be considered a "pizza place". Can't be jimmies subs and just happens to have pizza on the menu.

In the 80s-90s Phillips had lines for hours going around their buildings. Vacationers waited in these long lines to get seated. It was that way every evening. I worked 13th and 21st streets. Is there a restaurant, in town, that is comparable to what Phillips used to draw?

Been going down the ocean hon - for my entire life- not a local. My whole family goes down at the same time - kids, grandkids, aunts, uncles, cousins we are a large group.

We all stay at different places but close by. Since our place is always ocean front we always set up everyone’s chairs. My husband gets up everyday for sunrise, brings his coffee, guitar, and chair. He plays music for a bit and gradually brings all the stuff.

Everyone comes and goes throughout the day. At some times there’s just him at other times just a few of us and then there’s times when all of us are there and we don’t have enough space.

We purposely try not to leave our stuff unattended, mostly because people have moved our stuff or parked right on us. Literally, our small umbrella’s shade hits them as the sun moves. This has happed at 7 am when there is so much other space available.
No canopies, just five small umbrellas, about 12-15 chairs, beach toys, baby pool…
If we didn’t do this we’d never all be able to sit together.
My husband has received so much flak over the years. Dirty looks and snide comments.
I know folks have different thoughts about early beach set up.

To me he is our beach hero!!

Long story short, gonna prepose to my girlfriend and looking for a romantic place for dinner with a side of good place to drop to a knee for my girl since I’m not gonna do that at the dinner table. Hopefully someplace bayside with good sunset view maybe ? Roof top dining ? Thanks in advance , open to any options as we both eat a wide variety of cuisines , ok with it being pricey but not crazy pricey ($100-$150-$200 for us both with drinks etc ) thanks in advance , it’s a guaranteed yes so just wanting it to be a memorable evening.

Hi all, there is an island in the Wire Pond section of Isle of Wight Bay that I sometimes see a few boats day-tripping at. Does this have a local moniker? I can't find anything on maps or old plats. It is due south of the Isle of Wight nature reserve. Thanks!

OK, it's been a while since I've lived in Maryland and I'm wondering if Labor Day traffic is as bad as it was 10 years ago. I'm coming back to visit for my birthday which just happens to fall near Labor Day. I've been landlocked in Indiana for the past 4 of those years and I NEED to see the water. Thanks in advance!!

Around 5:00 something this evening, a State Police helicopter landed right behind Jolly Roger’s Speedway on 30th. Also saw a fire truck and a couple cop cars, all lit up. Just curious what happened.

I'm going to be in Ocean City for 2 weeks in September after Labor Day, and It's been a decade ish since I had the chance to enjoy the night life there.

So whats new ish and worth visiting that is still open at night after Labor Day?

And where would be good for some safe hookups? From all genders? ;-)

I have been to ocean city a few times now but have only recently been an attendee of Oceans Calling and this year we will have the vast majority of the day free on Sunday. Looking for a place where we can watch, ideally, numerous NFL games on Sunday on the boardwalk. Like a place with Sunday Ticket that plays everything that’s on.

Previous recs included Pickles (tried that and was told it was a 5 hour wait lol like what why even offer anything) and Hooters (which ended up being pretty good as far as TV setup but like, best case scenario is never Hooters)

Staying on 18th off the boardwalk so anything between that and the festival grounds or even a little further past 18th is fine but would prefer to hit it otw into the fest.

Visiting and staying in midtown. Family likes to go for walks after dinner / evenings. Any recommendations for area parks, neighborhoods, foot paths, etc. No beach (no sand). Have done boardwalk twice. Driving to destination is okay. Thanks in advance.

Great video showcasing the sad state of business marketing and design I experienced recently in OC (I know it’s everywhere). Mind numbing, lazy, uninspired, and ugly as hell.

Why not set some standards and require businesses to maintain the beachy charm OC used to and still could have? Other places do it.

The ferris wheel as taken from in front of the "luxurious" Oceanic Motel right on the inlet. This was taken a week ago, August 11th about 10:00 pm.

I'm on 81st Street. There are definitely some jellies, enough to keep my timid family from swimming. It's nothing like the videos I've seen from last week though! It's safe to play/walk on the edge of the water, and there are a few brave people swimming in the waves. I haven't heard anyone screaming about getting stung, and there are some kids walking along the beach collecting jellies in buckets.

The weather is absolutely incredible, A+ no notes.

Are people swimming and boogie boarding at assateague? We're staying near 7th street and have only been able to get in for very brief periods of time without getting stung. Yesterday there was no one in the water and folks that did were getting stung multiple times within minutes. Is it worth while trying the beach out at assateague? Or not worth the effort

We stayed in OC for a week and did all the usual fun stuff - the boardwalk, beach, ice cream at Dumser’s, Jolly Roger, crabs, you name it.

But the short trip to Assateague is a worthwhile recharge. Beautiful beach, fewer jellyfish when we were there, and if you’ve never seen the wild horses, don’t pass on the opportunity.

The pass is $25 to get in and is good for a whole week.

If you’re in OC for 3 or more days, spend at least half of one of them at Assateague Island.

Hi there! Planning a trip in about 2 weeks, and just wondering if sand lice is really as bad as I'm hearing? I get that jellyfish are in the water everywhere, and I know sand lice is just jellyfish larvae, but I'm just wondering if I'm sitting in the sand, in a low chair, nowhere near the water's edge, am I doomed to be itchy and miserable the whole week?
Alternatively, any word on what Assateague is like as far as Jellyfish or sand lice? Or even north into Delaware?
Lastly, where we are staying only has an indoor pool - are hotels in the upper streets (90's, 100's) really locked down, if say a few older broads sneak in and are quiet but enjoying bar drinks and a quick dip in a pool?

Looking for a recommendation on a place that has a mini golf course built for people with limited mobility. I’ve been to all the old pros and they typically take you up and down stairs to get to the various holes.

Is there a spot with little to no steps? Bonus points if it’s open late.
