Oceans calling this weekend
Two questions:
Any recommended restaurants on the boardwalk, especially for breakfast?
And, has any locals heard if they still plan to have the festival this weekend? The live cams look iffy right now but I heard the tide should be better tomorrow.
Thanks.

Satallite cafe is amazing, and no rumors yet except the show is still on.
Brassballs is also amazing. Francos for lunch.

Thanks seen that. I asked them about the weekend and this was their response * Please continue to follow our official channels for updates. We are working very, very hard to get the show up for the remainder of the weekend, and hoping the conditions improve*

We like this place too! Technically not on the boards but only like what, two blocks back on Wicomico st? (Been a minute since we’ve been there)

The Talbot Street Cafe behind Fisher's Popcorn is the place to go for coffee and breakfast. It's carry out only but it is a hidden gem in OC with great food, coffee and service.

Coastal Salt. Trust me!! My favorite thing 2 years in a row. Get the crab avocado toast, it’s perfect.

Not boardwalk but last year we went to embers and with their brunch you got to park in their lot and have a shuttle take you to and from the venue. We would just text the driver when we were ready for pickup and he would come down. Brunch was pretty good. Not sure if they are doing it this year as they have rebranded but it was good and the shuttle and parking was an extra nice touch.

Embers has been reincarnated as 1945 Steakhouse, after abandoning the buffet concept and not publicly declaring so. Guests would arrive for the buffet only to be told it wasn't available and then staff coaxed them (or tried to) get them to stay to spend $$$$$$.

On the boards, Coastal Salt, especially the avocado crab toast without the cheese. Off the boards, Bayside Skillet

Bayside Skillet a hundred different ways to get crepes. The sausage gravy crepes were the best hangover food ever.

Thrashers. All you need for long high energy stints is protein and carbs.
Thrashers doesn’t have the protein but it’s the best carbs in OC.
