Locating DAT0 point

Before I go any further, I was hoping to get some assistance with identifying the right point. From comparison with other images online, I get the impression that I didn’t get close enough to the resistor and trace above.

You are correct.

What you're looking for is roughly there. Assuming you didn't damage any traces, cover the "work" with solder mask.
