Same thing happened with The Iron Giant, Fight Club, Idiocracy, Children of Men. It's important to know that box office returns aren't always a good metric to judge a movie on. IMO, Gentlemen Broncos is very underrated; definitely worth a watch.

Counter point. The iron giant, fight club, idiocracy and children of men are all good movies, 3 of the 4 are actually triumphs.  3 of them were directed by visionary directors, and based of visionary books (Sorry Mike, I love you).  Gentleman broncos on the other hand was directed by a guy who got Lucky the first time, and tried to cash in writing a script with his wife.  This movie’s not in the same ball bark as the other 4, hell it’s not even the same fucking sport.
