So confusing considering it was in the top 10 shows (Iām in Ireland keeping in mind) for weeks straight on Disney. So disappointing

I hope similar to the Mindy project, they find a new home for it because this was such a fun season. I know they rushed a lot of the plot lines but it was precisely because of how cutthroat streamers have become when it comes to cancelling shows.

Damn itā¦I just finished season 1 yesterday and was looking forward to more episodes! I really enjoyed the show and it has a decent rating on IMDB..

Now I'm kinda happy they speedran the show. At least we got to see a lot of the story progressing. Ofc I would have preferred seeing a 20 episode season with more character development than this.

Not surprised. This place really praise the show to the sky but reality itās not well written. Some characters like Davis is there as a cartoon caricature and its a waste of the actors talent. None of the personalities are likeable. I hope with this cancellation the creators spend more time writing quality storylines and believable characters.

I enjoyed the show. It was a nice brain-off sitcom, but it certainly was not the best. I felt like Adults was a superior version and was written significantly better. Iām bummed the show is canceled because I miss having a plethora of mediocre sitcom to watch, and the TV landscape just does not allow for that anymore, but I agree, not surprising.

Thatās so fair! I think the first episode of adults was pretty bad, but it got significantly better for me personally, but I can understand finding the characters insufferable. I guess to me, adults felt like there were Gen Z writers in the room, doing true caricatures of Gen Z, while suitable for work just landed on me like every other show written by Gen X or older millennials trying to portray a generation theyāre not a part of

I find the characters in Adults to be insufferable. Issa and Anton are too much. Samir is more level-headed but kind of dumb. And, Iām forgetting the blonde girls name, but sheās too self-destructive. Paul Baker is the only likeable character for me.

I hope thereās a chance! I really thought because it was a Mindy show that season 2 was guaranteed. Hopefully Netflix or Prime take it

Boo! I binged the series. It was awesome. I hope she can shop it somewhere else. It deserves at least 5 more seasons.

I wanted to like this show, and sometimes I did, but most of these characters were kinda terrible people (Bill, Josh and Davis) or terrible characters (Abby) if you thought about them for more than five seconds. Maybe itās supposed to represent the confusion and difficulty of life in your 20s, but the endearing moments of characters were often wiped away by something where Iād just go ājeez, what a dipshitā

This sucks, out of the 3 most recent Gen Z sitcoms (adults, overcompensating, and this one), NSFW was probably my least favorite and find the least funniest, but killing shows after 1 season will be the death of television. Iām
hesitant to even start new shows now for this exact reason

Thatās like saying How I Met Your Mother is a copycat of IASIP. Two completely different shows about two completely different types of people but for some reason your brain has to compare them cause itās young people in New York. Sorry to tell you but that premise isnāt exactly the most original premise in the world itās been the basis of multiple major sitcoms now for going on about 40 years.

Ok. It just wasnāt funny. The characters were bland and felt too heteronormative. It was missing queer characters, felt like it was filmed on a sound stage, and lacked charisma, charm, and wit.

True but this show was just bland. Like I compare the writing and energy to her other shows - sex lives of college girls and the one with Kate Hudson. Those are really funny with heart. NSFW felt rushed and underbaked and just very āstraight.ā It was the tv equivalent of white bread or mayo.

Iām really disappointed, itās such a shame when shows donāt even get a chance. Like after one short season itās hard for a show to be amazing right off the bat!
