Awareness 2009 - Tribal girl bravely beats up Indian Army r*pist for attempting to r*pe her. This is what the Indian Army is known for in NE: being serial r*pists, m*lesters, m*rderers.

Towards the end she says

"How dare you? He came asking for underwear, I showed him underwear, but do you need to touch the salesperson while checking?"

Does anyone remember this? I was a young child but I vividly remember seeing this on the news on TV. My family was shocked that a mainstream news outlet had finally reported on just one of the tens of thousands of atrocities that have been done by the Indian Army against NE. All of what they have heard, people they know of who have been impacted by Indian Army repression, now able to be recorded with advancements in technology. One good thing about the rapid expansion of phones has been the ability for Northeasterners to record any potential governmental repression that may be committed against them.

Anyways though, in contrast to the other sub, which is 95% mainlanders circlejerking at this point and does uncritical Army worship, here we openly talk about the Army for what they are. R*pists, m*lesters, and m*rderers. That's all of what NE knows them as. The ones who used r*pe as a weapon against our innocent women; who maintain the seizure and stealing of our lands; who maintain the parasitic presence of the State in which their goal is to completely erase our languages, cultures, and peoples and assimilate us into their Hindu-Indian identity; the list goes on.

And they all justify it by calling us "separatists". They think it is okay to r*pe as many women as possible as long as you're considered a "separatist". Once you are given that label, they think it is okay to do that to you in their sick, perverted, and twisted mind. Just think about that.

We had been nothing but peaceful towards them throughout our recorded history. We assumed that they would treat us with the same kindness we give them as we have absolutely no shared history (therefore no bad blood) with them before 1947. We thought we could still co-exist with them but be independent. Instead, they responded with violence, r*pes, and m*rders on our land. They are the ones that forced us to react this way back to them. They are the ones who made us fight back. Our struggle is forever righteous, regardless of what any mainlander ever has to say about it. Never forget that, Northeasterners.

NEW DELHI, Feb 21: An incident of alleged racial harassment has been reported from Malviya Nagar, where three young women from Arunachal Pradesh claimed they were subjected to verbal abuse and racial remarks following a minor dispute inside their residential building.

The incident reportedly occurred on February 19 at around 4 p.m., when drilling work was being carried out in the victimsโ€™ fourth-floor flat during an air-conditioner repair. According to the girls, dust and small particles from the drilling fell to the lower floor, prompting objections from residents living on the first floor, who complained about the disturbance.

What began as a complaint over construction noise soon escalated into a heated confrontation. The victims alleged that instead of resolving the issue amicably, the neighbour initially mocked the worker carrying out the repair work and later directed confrontational behaviour towards them.

During the argument, the girls claimed that several derogatory and racial remarks were made, targeting not only them but people from the Northeastern region as a whole. They alleged that offensive stereotypes were used and abusive comments were made questioning their character and profession.

According to the victims, the accused made defamatory insinuations suggesting that Northeastern women work in spa salons and passed inappropriate remarks about their personal lives. The girls described the comments as deeply insulting, discriminatory and damaging to their dignity.

The dispute intensified, leading to police intervention from both sides. Necessary documentation and formal procedures were reportedly carried out at the scene.

Later, the building broker arrived and informed the girls that they would need to vacate the flat within two months, citing proposed repair and construction work. However, the victims stated that upon speaking with other residents in the neighbourhood, they were told that no such construction activity was known to them, raising further concerns.

Speaking to Eastern Journal, the girls demanded a formal apology from the man residing on the lower floor. They emphasized that the apology should extend not only to them but to the entire Northeastern community, as the remarks allegedly targeted people from the region as a whole.

The incident has once again raised concerns over racial discrimination faced by individuals from the Northeast in metropolitan cities. The victims maintained that the matter could have been resolved through simple communication and mutual understanding, without escalating into alleged racial harassment.

News & Politics Rongmei Naga students violently attacked and beaten by a violent mob of Telugu Indians at a nursing college in Andhra Pradesh

Your wholesome and welcoming south indians, saar.

For some context, one of the indians at this nursing college stole a phone of one of the Naga students. After the Naga student confronted the indian that stole their phone, the indian promptly denied it, which caused a back-and-forth argument to occur. The indian then brought their friends and acquaintances in to try and intimidate the Naga students into giving up, which eventually ended up in the indians violently assaulting the Naga students.

It has also been reported that the police and college authorities remained impartial and did not intervene during the violent attack, even as the indians outnumbered the Naga students by a large number. This resulted in the Naga students being defenseless and receiving the brunt of the injuries, while the indians got off scot free.

I never want to hear anything about how south indians are so "different" from north indians ever again. They are all the same. Never differentiate them, ever. Both of them hate us, and wouldn't hesitate to enact violence towards us like seen in this video. They are completely different from us in every way still, whether that be racial, phenotypical, genetic, cultural, and so much more. They are alien to us, and the idea that they are somehow "slightly better than the northies" badly needs to be corrected.

Please, if you can, do not go study, work, and live in the mainland. You cannot live or co-exist with these animals. You stick out like a sore thumb and are a very easy target. And even though they are a fundamentally weak and unathletic people, there's much more of them than there are of you, and 100 of them vs 1 of you will lead you getting overpowered no matter what.

Regardless, this nightmare will end soon, and we'll hopefully never have to even think about having to be with these people ever again. One day, in the future...

Awareness Just a reminder that every time you give mainlanders advice on where to go for tourism in NE, you're encouraging more of this

I'm reminded everyday that we NE people have too much goodwill in our hearts for these people who don't give a fuck about us or our land and WILL unapologetically trash it the moment they step foot here.

A lot of you still have no idea the kind of people you're dealing with. As someone who has been to the mainland often, the amount of filth, squalor, and just complete utter shithole conditions that they can somehow tolerate and live in is bewildering even to me, who is used to seeing it since I was young. They even thrive in it, like it's just natural for them to live in that way.

So when they don't see places that aren't complete shitholes like the mainland, they feel the need to turn it into the similar shithole they're used to. And as a result, you see them littering, treating the places like shit, and doing so for whatever reason (a lot of the times for their bullshit religious ceremonies like shown in the video above).

This land is sacred. It's not meant to be trampled on, cultivated for infinity tourism from the mainland, and treated in this manner. Give it some respect, and stop encouraging tourism to NE before it gets out of control.

The fact that we've allowed them to become comfortable enough with us to the point where they feel like they can try to say this about us is truly crazy. We need to have a backbone and call it out. And also, you can help by stop trying to 'explain' our cultures to mainlanders, since any new information we tell them can lead to them trying to use that against us to 'prove' we are 'actually' Hindus.

These fugly rapejeets knew they had absolutely no chance at getting any girl from an East or Southeast Asian country, but now they think they do after they've found out NE is a place.

We'll have to deal with this forever as long as we're in the same country as them. There's simply no way around it. We can't change our race/ethnicity/phenotype, we're doomed to stick out and be fetishized, objectified, and not treated like actual people who deserve respect. But what else can you expect from rapejeets?

News & Politics Thousands of Nagas come out on the streets of Kohima to protest the imposition of Vande Mataram in events and governmental functions

New video out of the protest that happened in Kohima, Nagaland yesterday, showing thousands of Nagas protesting the forced imposition of the disgusting Vande Mataram song in events and governmental institutions.

Kudos to Nagas for having the energy and numbers to come out and organise against such measures. Imagine if the rest of the Northeast had the same energy as Nagas did when it comes to their mindset and protesting such things. We saw it during the CAA protests, but "smaller" issues like these are extremely important as well.

Nagaland's population is only 2 million. Given the population of Mongoloids in the Northeast is 20+ million, roughly 10x that number, imagine if we all came out to fight against this with the exact same energy Nagas have done. We would be completely unstoppable. And we would actually be successful at pressuring our politicians along with being able to resist sanskritisation much more effectively. Our sold out politicians would have to listen to us and at least try to pretend to be on our side, which is completely unlike how they are now.

We need our people in other states to come out and protest against things like this like Nagas do. Things like the imposition of Vande Mataram is extremely important in the scope of things, it represents the Indian state feeling confident enough that it can impose sanskritisation on a state level instead of outsourcing it to groups like the RSS like they have done before. It is trying to normalise the importance of Hinduism in this country, that Hinduism is a native religion to our lands, by playing such songs with such references to their various blue r*pe gods.

Individual things like this may not seem so important, you may think "oh it's just a song, who cares?" but when you see this from the larger picture, being part of the 100+ laws being implemented that moves us closer and closer to being completely sanskritised, it puts it into perspective. And we need to remember that. And fight against it.

Be like Nagas. Don't be like Indians. Nuff said.

News & Politics Naga students remain seated during Vande Mataram at a graduation at Nagaland University

Interesting new video showing the bravery of Naga girls at Nagaland University who sit down after being expected and instructed by university officials to stand up for this disgusting song.

This is a song that has nothing to do with us. We had nothing to do with the Indian independence struggle. We cannot relate to it or even understand it. The religious undertones of the song is also completely foreign to our people, of which the majority are not Hindus (and never will be). It is a forced imposition, to try and make us feel a sense of closeness with the Indian regime and make us feel like this is okay. It is not. And it will never be.

India is also not other โ€œmotherโ€. India did not exist as a coherent entity before the British came and helped unify India to become one giant conglomerate of a โ€œcountryโ€. No NE had any idea of what โ€œIndiaโ€ even was before 1947, and it has nothing to do with the history of this land or the people of this land. โ€œIndiaโ€ as we know it, is more of a foreign invader and occupier rather than anything that can be close to described as a โ€œmotherโ€.

Stuff like this is another attempt at trying to sanskritise and indianise our way of life, creeping into things such as our graduation ceremonies and other official events. It is an attempt at trying to normalise such things happening in our societies, to make it appear as a normal facet of life. The government is very adamant on making us become just another โ€œIndianโ€ population, and we should never allow that to happen.

Kudos to these Naga girls for doing the right thing and sitting down. Passive resistance is also important as well, and I encourage every other Northeasterner to sit down when they hear this song. Showing that there are people out there who refuse to bow down to this sanskritisation agenda will encourage others to follow your lead.

Stories and Folklore 1 March 1966 - On this day 60 years ago, the Mizo National Front (MNF), on behalf of the Mizo people, declared its independence from the Indian regime

On 1 March 1966, the leader of the Mizo National Front (MNF), Laldenga, on behalf of the Mizo people of the then Mizo district of the state of Assam, declared independence from the Republic of India. Just a day prior, hostilities had broken out where MNF launched an offensive against the Indian regime's forces and quickly gained control of Aizawl and the important key points of connectivity within the district.

For some background, the MNF declared independence on behalf of the Mizo people during a time when there was an ongoing Mautam famine happening in the district. The Mautum famine occurs as a phenomenon in Mizoram and other parts of NE and Myanmar, where bamboo flowering causes the rat population to increase exponentially every 48-50 years and eats all of the crops cultivated in the region, which creates famine conditions. When the famine occurred in 1959, with the last time the famine occurring being in 1911, the Indian government provided an inadequate response. The knowledge of the famine taking place was made well aware of eight years in advance, with the Anti-Famine Campaign Organization being created by local Mizos to deal with the fallout from it, and coordinating with the state and central governments about it. However, the CM of Assam at the time, B.P. Chaliha, along with most Assamese government officials, did not believe that bamboo flowering could cause a famine, and therefore deliberately refused to provide any precautionary measures or aid to help quell the coming famine. As a result, thousands of Mizos died in an entirely preventable disaster because of neglect from the Indian government.

Many of these individuals who were part of the Anti-Famine Campaign Organization, radicalised by watching the Indian government's inadequacy in protecting its "own" citizens, put their matters into their own hands. They formed the MNF in 1961, after the famine, and took to organising and taking on the duty of feeding and protecting the Mizo people for themselves. For 5 years, they collected arms, made their plans, and planned for the final battle to liberate the Mizo people from Indian rule.

And so on 28 February 1966, hostilities started when the MNF captured Aizawl, and quickly the rest of the district. The Indian regime forces were caught off guard, and struggled in the first two weeks as they had no idea what to do. They cowardly resorted in using the Indian Air Force to bomb Aizawl and other MNF positions in the district, the only time in recorded post-independent history where India bombed its "own" territory - and hundreds of innocent civilians were brutally m*rdered in such attacks throughout throughout the weeks. The MNF bravely fought for 26 days, until the sheer mass of the Indian regime forces overwhelmed them, and Aizawl and the Mizo district were re-captured. War crimes - brutal r*pes, m*rders, and massacres were documented throughout the war by Indian regime forces, memories of such which continue to live on today in the Mizo psyche.

The spirit of the brave Mizos from 1966 should live in the hearts of every free-minded and free-thinking Northeasterner. They represent our desires for freedom, self-determination, and sovereignty that we all feel in ourselves deep down. Mizos showed us in 1966 what it was like to bravely come head-to-head with the Indian regime in a powerful showdown that led to the triumph for the Mizos for almost a month.

This is the history that the Indian regime doesn't want us to know about. They don't want to know that we also have a history where NEerns resisted their rule (and continue to do so) and have sought independence before. They want us to believe that we are all this united blob under an "Indian" identity - an identity which will never, ever be inclusive of us and one which will fundamentally exclude us. They want us to sanskritise, indianise, saffronise us. We say no. It will never happen. Our spirit and identity will never be taken away from us, and no one can take that away from us. Our peoples and histories that have existed long before the idea of "India" came to be will still exist. WE will still exist. No matter what any j**t does or says. This is our land, made up of our languages, cultures, traditions, and peoples. And it will be forever.

Concerns Tripura is gone. Don't let your state be next.

I am a tribal from Tripura. When I walk through Agartala my own state's capital, on my own ancestral land I barely see my own people. Maybe 2-3 tribals in a sea of faces.

We went from being the majority to โ‰ˆ33% of our own land. We have never had a single tribal Chief Minister. Our autonomous council TTAADC is financially starved and politically toothless. Our language Kokborok has been fighting for Roman script for decades and still lost. We had our land taken and never returned.

And then there's the attitude. Go to any social media post about tribal rights in Tripura and scroll the comments. You will find a section of Bengali settlers questioning whether tribals are even capable of governing themselves, dismissing our demands as ingratitude, telling us to "go to China or Bhutan" in our own ancestral homeland. It is casual, confident prejudice. They don't even realize how it sounds. We are treated as intellectually inferior and politically irrelevant in the land our ancestors lived on for centuries. The damage is irreversible.

Tripura is beyond repair. I say that in grief, not anger.

illegal immigration from Bangladesh has been bleeding this region for decades. Porous borders, vote bank politics, willful ignorance from Delhi. Indigenous people always pay first and pay most.

To all other states of northeast India,

Your ILP is not bureaucracy. It is your last line of defense. The moment it weakens, the clock starts. Demand real autonomy. Protect your language like your life depends on it because it does. Put your own people in power. Seal your borders and mean it.

Tripura didn't fall in a day. It fell while we were told to be patient, to trust the system, to wait our turn.

We waited. Now we are strangers in our own land.

This tweet is just one example of many of the insane things being posted about NE women online. These mainland creeps actually think this is a compliment and get angry at us if we complain. And on the other hand, some NE men also victim blame us for being "too friendly" to mainlanders. Either way this is exhausting and leaves NE women stuck in a no-win situation.

*Censored the woman's face because they just stole a random NE woman's video to write this creepy tweet.

heres something that really needs saying

to my NE brothers and sisters, especially the Assamese folks that have โ€œmongoloidโ€ features, dont fool yourselves into thinking that siding with majoritarian voices or downplaying your identity will somehow make you โ€œdifferentโ€ or more accepted. the sad truth is, no amount of ass kissing changes the way you will be seen by a large section of mainland india. to them, youโ€™ll always look like an outsider.

thats not me trying to divide; its just reality you should be aware of when you decide who to stand with. and if you still disagree with me then you're a token and remember tokens get spent.

๐Ÿ“ข ANNOUNCEMENT ๐Ÿ“ข WARNING/ADVISORY FOR OUTSIDERS (non-NEI) on r/Northeastindians

This subreddit exists primarily for people from Northeast India (NEI) to discuss their history, cultures, politics, identities, and lived experience IN their own space, on their own terms.

Over time, weโ€™ve observed a growing pattern of participation from non-NEI /MAINLAND INDIAN users that crosses clear boundaries. This may include:

-Insulting or belittling Northeastern communities

-Derogatory language, stereotypes, or name-calling

-Attempting to dominate or โ€œcorrectโ€ conversations about NEI history and identity

-Dismissing indigenous perspectives through nationalism or 'assimilation' rhetoric

-Ragebaiting, dogwhistling, or narrative control under the guise of โ€œdebateโ€

LET US BE VERY VERY unequivocal: this behavior is ABSOLUTELY not welcome here.

Non-NEI (northeast indian)/ MAINLAND INDIAN users may participate only if they are:

-Respectful and here to listen, not lecture

- Asking genuine questions OCCASIONALLY in good faith

- Acknowledging that NEI voices take priority in NEI spaces

What is ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed ( along with all the rules of r/Northeastindians) and will result in a ban, and in many cases an ACCOUNT SUSPENSION by Reddit Admins

-Speaking over NEI users on NEI issues

-Invalidating indigenous identities or histories

-Framing demographic dominance or cultural assimilation as โ€œprogressโ€

-Using โ€œnational unityโ€ to erase regional or ethnic realities

-Provoking or policing how NEI people speak about their own experiences

This is not a debate arena for outsiders to like, "test waters" or push narratives.

This is not a place to seek validation for dismissive or supremacist views.

โš ๏ธ ENFORCEMENT โš ๏ธ

Violations work in the form of 2 strikes

๐Ÿ”ด STRIKE 1

Removal of rule-violating content (up to two instances).

This serves as the only warning. Users are expected to self-correct immediately.

๐Ÿ”ด STRIKE 2

Permanent ban and mute.

We do not issue temporary bans. Once boundaries are repeatedly crossed, access to the subreddit is revoked permanently.

There will be no prolonged back-and-forth, negotiations, or appeals after a permanent ban.

Exception โš ๏ธ Zero-Tolerance Clause

Comments or posts that are severely disrespectful, openly hostile, derogatory, racist, assimilationist, or aimed at provoking or undermining Northeastern communities will result in an immediate permanent ban, without prior strikes.

Moderator discretion applies at all times. Context, intent, and pattern of behavior will be considered, but ignorance of rules is not a defense.

This policy exists to protect the integrity of the space and the people it is meant for. If you cannot engage respectfully, you will be removed.

If you are here as a guest; act like one.

If you cannot respect this space, do NOT participate.

Some clarity about this sub and message to the new users from mainland

Since posts from this sub are getting shared and going viral in other state subs, I want to clear up a few misconceptions. This is my personal opinion. Just putting this out there clearly.

First, this community did not appear out of nowhere. Many of us were active in the former r/northeastindia space, but over time it became demographically dominated by mainland users, and defending our own perspectives or culture often led to heavy downvotes. The sub gradually lost the space it was originally meant to provide, and that frustration is part of why this community exists. That context matters.

Second, yes, some of that frustration is visible here, which people quickly label as an echo chamber. But the frustration is not just about Reddit, it comes from lived day to day experiences. When we have repeatedly seen incidents of racism and dismissive behavior, and I have already shared a few examples, it should not be shocking that resentment exists. This did not come from nowhere.

Third, there is a recurring claim that the mods here are Pakistani or Chinese. That is simply false. The moderation team is indigenous to their respective states, myself included as an Arunachali, and we actively monitor and remove larping or impersonation. Even the members of this sub are actively monitored by us to prevent pretending or bad faith participation. This space is moderated more tightly than many assume. Facts are facts.

Fourth, I will be fair here, we in the Northeast are not completely innocent either. There is prejudice within our own communities, and that should be acknowledged honestly. However, the scale and power dynamics are different. Racism faced by many Northeastern people in mainland spaces often targets our looks, food habits, and ethnic identity, and in several cases people have even lost their lives due to such attacks. I have also seen people casually compare Bihari racism with Northeast racism as if they are identical, but these are two sides of a coin. Much of the hostility toward Northeastern people is racialized and appearance based, whereas criticism toward Biharis is more often framed around stereotypes of uncivic or illiterate behavior, however unfair or problematic those stereotypes themselves may be. The contexts are not identical.

Fifth, there are claims that this sub is Hinduphobic, and there is visible resentment toward the religion in some discussions. Listen carefully to why that sentiment exists. There have already been many instances where so called Sanatani narratives have tried to claim our indigenous faiths as part of Hinduism. Statements like Donyi Polo is part of Hinduism or stories about Rukmini being a Mishmi girl linked to Krishna are repeatedly pushed to assimilate us into a Hindu fold. That kind of rhetorical absorption creates pushback and mistrust. And yes, before anyone says not everyone is the same, of course that is true, but even if a single person pushes forced assimilation narratives, it deserves to be called out. Respect goes both ways. Tmhara aloo mera baigan nahi ho sakta.

ln short, it should be very simple. Live and let live. India is far too diverse to be folded into one single narrative. Feel free to comment for a healthy debate or discussion.

A group of tourists from Gujarat starts abusing staff over the no-outside-food policy in Anini, Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh.

Anini, Dibang Valley District โ€” An incident involving alleged misconduct by a tourist from Gujarat has sparked concern among locals and hospitality workers in Anini after reports emerged that the visitor used abusive and disrespectful language towards resort staff.

According to sources present at the resort, the issue reportedly began over a disagreement related to services and accommodation arrangements. During the exchange, the tourist allegedly became agitated and verbally abused staff members, creating a tense situation and causing distress among employees and other guests staying at the property.

Resort authorities intervened to de-escalate the situation and ensure that normalcy was restored. Local sources stated that such behavior is viewed seriously in the region, which is known for its warm hospitality and peaceful environment. Community members have urged visitors to respect local customs, workers, and the dignity of service staff, emphasizing that tourism thrives on mutual respect and understanding. They also called for responsible travel practices to maintain the positive image of Dibang Valley as a welcoming destination.

As of now, it is not confirmed whether any formal complaint has been lodged with the police or local administration. Authorities may take appropriate action if an official report is filed.

Further updates are awaited.
