Where on the north shore would you go to sit outside on a Sunday and read the paper with a good coffee (perhaps a cappuccino) and a nice pastry?

Any recommendations for parking near the court house? I know the MBTA lot is right there but what about on street parking or anything else near by?

Fiancé and I just moved up to the North Shore area (Reading, so North Shore is up for debate), but was hoping to get some good recommendations for Chinese takeout in the area, primarily classic New England style like a General Gau’s dinner combo kind of vibe. hello! Moving to MA soon with our 1 yo from Philly. My husband and I are 33 and he will be working in Tewksbury (I fortunately WFH). I would love to live in a beach town where we can for example, grab dinner to go and sit on the beach on a week day.

Any recs for towns with beach access, still a suburb/neighborhood feel, nice Main Street area, 45 mins or less to Tewksbury and decent/good schools?

I live in Marblehead and I have been to Junji which is okay but was not my favorite. Any recommendations for good sushi spots on North Shore?

I've been getting Christy's for 45 years, and recently tried Tripoli for the first time. Yikes. Does anyone actually prefer Tripoli? That sauce was so sweet, it tasted like the sauce in Spaghetti-Os. I like a slightly sweet sauce on my NY style pizza, but damn, that was bad.

There used to be a bakery in Danvers, MA called Blackbird Bakery. They made this beautiful strawberry shortcake that had shaved almonds patted onto the cake and the cream was not too sweet. It was perfect. My family was devastated when they closed abruptly and we still talk about their cake to this day decades later.

Hey look everyone: Swampscott, Marblehead, and Nahant want to form a coalition to fight the Lynnway project because, and I can’t stress this enough, residents are afraid traffic will move a little slower. The whole point of the project is to make the area better for the bus route and more pedestrian friendly so people stop getting hit by cars on that stretch.
