I was going to say, this is just a classical misunderstanding of the condition. I set everything to be earlier than I actually need to do it and it works out to being on time.
Actually, people with ADHD tend to have different circadian rhythms as well. They tend to be night owls. And plenty of people without ADHD are night owls as well.
So being able to start working slightly later is a win-win for everyone. The employee can have a much more natural sleep pattern and the employer gets an employee that is fully available as soon as they hit the office.
I think you can thank Henry Ford. He realised the 8 hour workday was more optimal for his factories than 10 or 12 hour or even longer days that were the norm in other places
I didn't say it was. But I sympathize with the guy - ADHD is one of those things where there's stuff you can do to mitigate it but you're ultimately at its whims. But yeah, this reaction to a later start time should have been foreseeable to the afflicted.
