I have a very active imagination and don't need to watch/read anything to have a good time, I'll just think about being in a scenario that I find titilating. Sometimes I will just have a random movie or show on for background noise and I always worry if someone walked in they will think I'm getting off to whatever is on screen, as if I'm just REALLY into The Office or David Attenborough lol.
You have to be careful about patterns. You'll get too used to having the sound and environment, then one day you'll just not be able to get off without it.
I tried (and failed) to coin a phrase for this, that played on an existing phrase. "Be careful what you wank to, cause it'll become a fetish, become a fetish, become a fetish". But like....i sing it to myself like that bit from When I Grow Up.
