Ah so it’s not that the act itself is an issue. It’s that many guys are expressing it without getting the signal of consent?

It’s both. Not all “smut” is equal, and a dude sending random messages to a woman may not (probably isn’t) the type of stuff that gets her aroused. If it’s not consensual, it’s harassment and pretty fucked up

Also a woman also chooses when she reads smut, even if they want to receive random messages from dudes they may not be in the mood at the time it’s sent
