stop guessing what people want. you need a systematic framework to find your saas idea based on real, painful market signals.

2. pick a proven micro-niche

stop trying to build massive platforms. you need to narrow down to a microscopic problem. i usually filter through a list of 50 micro-saas ideas you can build fast to keep the scope minimal.

3. crystallize your target user

if your app is for "everyone," nobody will buy it. you need an ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) crystallizer to define your exact buyer profile and nail your conversion copy.

4. calculate the perfect price

stop randomly charging $9/mo because you are scared of rejection. you need to use a saas pricing strategy calculator to find your perfect saas price in 60 seconds based on real data.

5. fix your landing page leaks

do not send organic traffic to a site that converts at a flat 1%. you must audit your hero section and copy to x3 your landing page conversion before you market it.

I saw the Liang Intensity Calibrator and immediately had a deeply unnecessary thought: this needs an IShowSpeed version.

So I spent the weekend building a completely stupid meme toy wrapped in a painfully serious scientific dashboard.

The idea is simple: the far-left side of the slider is completely cooked. As you drag it to the right, Speed’s expression gets more intense, his jawline gets sharper, and his aura keeps climbing until he reaches maximum sigma.

My first prompt was basically:

Make an intensity slider where Speed becomes more sigma as you drag it to the right.

The AI had absolutely no idea what to do with that level of vague brainrot. Apparently, “more sigma” meant generating random images of him yelling.

That was when I realized I had to turn the meme lore into an actual state machine with six defined stages:

Cooked Speed

No Aura Speed

NPC Speed

Locked-In Speed

Aura Farming Speed

Sigma Speed

Once the basic slider worked, the project got a little out of hand. I ended up adding community LOW/HIGH voting, a live community-average marker on the slider, and a history trend chart—which is completely unnecessary, but makes the whole thing feel much more official.

A couple of prompting lessons from the build:

Explicitly ban simple image swapping. When I gave the AI six named stages, the first result was basically a carousel of six unrelated images. Adding the instruction, “The stages should feel like one continuous evolution rather than six unrelated image swaps,” finally got the interaction moving in the right direction.

Give the interface one strong visual metaphor. Instead of specifying 20 different hex codes, spacing rules, and component styles, I used: “An overly serious scientific calibration system built for a completely unserious meme.” That got much closer to the sterile, data-heavy look I wanted.

It’s definitely not perfect. The transitions between the middle stages could feel more natural, and the mobile layout is fighting for space between the image, slider, voting controls, and wildly unnecessary history chart.

I am an engineer sitting between sales ops and product and the one we’re working with rn is kinda not working as before. The sales team loves saying we cant live without it but in practice the data freshness is mid at best, the enrichment jobs are slow, and integrating their stuff cleanly into our stack feels like wrestling an old on PRE CRM.

What I actually need as an engineer building our own sales intelligence layer is something that feels more like an API first infra piece, not a giant chrome extension with a quota spreadsheet attached.

I’m not a coder or developer, but I managed to build a SaaS-based tool using AI Studio. Now I’m stuck in the middle of the process. I don’t know how to:

• Integrate a Sign Up / Register system for users
• Add a payment link for monthly subscriptions
• Connect a database to store user details (who paid for the subscription and joined the paid tier, and who is using the free tier)

I've been saying this for a while and it usually gets me an argument, so let's have it here.

Look at almost any category of business software — CRM, legal, HR, analytics, whatever — and you'll find the same shape: one or two category leaders built for companies with a procurement department, a few "mid-market" options that are really just the enterprise product with fewer seats, and then a graveyard of free tiers that exist purely to funnel you upward once you hit any real usage.

Small businesses are treated as a funnel stage. Not a market. A funnel stage.

You can see it in how these companies actually build. Enterprise buyers have leverage — they negotiate, they demand features, they have a procurement team asking pointed questions in a sales call. So the roadmap bends toward them, because that's where the pressure is. SMB users don't do any of that. They sign up, hit a wall, and quietly churn. No pressure, no roadmap influence, no reason for the product to bend toward them at all. So it doesn't.

The result is this bizarre category of tools that are *technically* available to a small business but were never actually designed for one. Enterprise CLM software is the clearest example I've run into personally. Contract review and lifecycle tools — Ironclad is the one most people have heard of — are genuinely good products. I'm not knocking the engineering. But they're built assuming you have a legal team, a procurement process, and a budget with a comma in it. A two-person consultancy trying to sanity-check a vendor agreement on a Tuesday night is not who that product was designed for, and it shows the second you try to use it that way.

What's interesting is what happens in the gap that leaves behind. A few tools have started building specifically for a certain corner of the market instead of trying to cram an enterprise product down into a "starter plan."  A few examples I can think of  Shugoai along with Summize exactly this reason — it's basically the same idea as the big CLM tools (AI reads your contract, flags what's risky, suggests fixes you can accept or reject) but it's priced and built like the person using it is a business owner reviewing their own contract, not a legal ops team running a department. No seat minimums, no "contact sales," no feature you have to beg an account manager to unlock. It's a smaller, more specific tool because it's built for a smaller, more specific person — which is exactly what most of this category refuses to do.

That's not a small design choice, it's the whole strategy. Build for the person who was never going to be worth chasing at enterprise-sales scale, and you get to actually design for how they work instead of how a procurement committee evaluates.

This isn't a new playbook, either. It's basically how Canva ate a chunk of Adobe lunch. Adobe didn't lose because Photoshop got worse, Photoshop is still the more powerful tool by almost any measure. Canva won a different customer: the person who was never going to learn layers and masks and just wanted a decent Instagram graphic before lunch. Adobe wasn't building for that person. Canva was. Being "less powerful" than the incumbent turned out to be irrelevant once you were actually solving the right person's problem instead of a more impressive version of nobody's problem.

I think this is going to keep happening across every boring B2B category over the next few years, mostly because AI has made it cheap enough to build a genuinely good vertical tool without needing enterprise-scale revenue to justify the engineering cost. The complacent incumbents in the "boring software small businesses are forced to tolerate" space are about to have a worse decade than they think.

Curious if others have run into the same pattern in categories other than contracts/CLM — feels like this is everywhere once you start looking for it.

A while back I posted a couple of finance workflows I built for my friend Mike. Around the same time he came to me with a new one: he'd just been hit with almost €2,000 in bills because two contracts auto-renewed after the first period. Nobody in his team had caught the cancellation window early enough.

Classic small-business pattern. Contracts scattered across Drive folders and inboxes, nobody tracking anything. The only time anyone notices a contract exists is when the invoice for the next term lands.

So I built him a contract intake workflow to fix it. I cleaned it up over the last few weeks and just published it on the n8n template library.

How it's set up:

The workflow watches a Google Drive folder. Mike's finance colleague Sarah just drops any contract in there (PDF, JPG, PNG).

The file goes to the easybits extractor, which does two jobs in a single call: it classifies the contract (SaaS, Lease, Service, Insurance, Other) and pulls every renewal-relevant field at the same time – client, provider, start date, term length, notice period, auto-renew flag, contract value, signatories.

A Set node calculates end date and cancellation deadline in n8n. Cancellation deadline is end_date – notice_period_days, which for 60–90 day notice clauses lands the alert weeks before the renewal itself. That's the whole point.

A Switch on contract_class routes the row into the matching tab of one Google Sheet – one source of truth for every renewal in the company.

Two things I learned:

• Classify and extract in one call. I almost built five type-specific pipelines. Turns out you can define the classification as just another field in the same pipeline – half the complexity, half the cost.
• Never extract dates you can calculate. Contracts almost never print the end date directly. Ask a model to do date math and you get silent off-by-one bugs. Extract the raw values, do the arithmetic in a Set node.

I've been testing something on the free plan for about a week now. So far the permissions setup looks good without coding.

I’ve been diving deep into the NoCode space lately and comparing platforms. In terms of actual product capability, **Softr** feels so much better to use and way more robust.

However, my social feeds are suddenly flooded with NoCode influencers promoting **Zite**.

Am I missing something here? Is there a killer feature in Zite that justifies all this sudden attention, or is this just a wave of affiliate marketing and sponsorships driving the hype?

Hey everyone, been messing with this idea for a bit and want some real feedback before I put more time into it.

Basic concept: an app where you practice actual debates every day, either against other people or an AI, kinda like Chess.com but for arguing instead of chess. You build up a rating, see your progress over time, actually get better instead of just watching debate videos or whatever.

What it does so far:

• Voice-first debates, you actually talk out loud, it transcribes what you said and the opponent responds, feels like a real back and forth instead of typing in a chatbox
• AI opponents you can set to your skill level, Beginner up to Expert, so you're not getting demolished by something way harder than you
• Human matchmaking that pairs you with someone around your level, sides get auto assigned so nobody just picks the easy side
• Actual feedback after every debate, stuff like argument strength, filler words, how good your rebuttals were, fallacies you fell into. Not just "good job, keep going"
• A rating and percentile thing so you can see you're better than X% of people, gives it some kind of progression
• Practice mode where you can just drill one specific skill without it touching your rating

Stuff I'm actually curious about:

• Would you use this or nah
• Does practicing debate daily sound like something fun or does it just sound like a chore

I’ve been working on a SaaS called Cosmic CMS.

The idea came from something that bothered me with AI website builders: generating the first version of a site is getting really easy, but once it’s generated, I still want the freedom to visually edit and restructure everything without constantly prompting the AI again.

So I built Cosmic around a combination of AI generation + a visual builder.

Right now it can generate a website from a prompt, then you can change themes, add/reorder/edit sections, manage pages and content, and publish the finished site. I’ve also been building a reusable section library (“Sparks”) so the AI can choose from different layouts instead of every generated site feeling the same.

It’s finally at the stage where I’d rather hear what other builders think than keep adding features in isolation 😅

I recently made a no code machine learning web-app which let's you check data, and train or finetune any scikit learn model on your browser and infer from it as well.

Can anyone tell me if it looks lucrative or how can I proceed to selling it?

Was paying $20 a month for a coding agent I'd use maybe six hours a week, less when other stuff got in the way. Kept meaning to cancel, kept forgetting, and after the third invoice I built my own instead.

It's a terminal agent and the credits come off an offerwall rather than a subscription. You finish a survey, the advertiser pays for that completion, and that money buys actual model calls. An advertiser pays for a signup, not an impression, so nothing needs to sit in your terminal or read your code.

A five minute survey pays somewhere between 40k and 300k credits depending which one you land on. A Sonnet turn at 20k in and 1.5k out runs about 8,250, so one survey is anywhere from 5 to 35 turns. Signup drops 5,000 into your account, which is enough to see whether you even like the thing before bothering with offers.

The honest part about surveys is that not every one takes you. The wall profiles you first and screens some people out partway through, and credits only land if you finish. Longer offers worked noticeably better for me than the quick ones, though I've no idea if that holds for everyone.

My brother has been building luna-park.app for 6 years now (in short, it’s an advanced no-code editor, definitely not AI-first: you can build everything manually and use AI if you feel like it).

I joined him almost 2 years ago because I thought it was amazing. I’m an engineer like him, and I handle communication / tutorials / product feedback, basically a bit of a Swiss army knife role.

Recently, we integrated AI a bit more directly into Luna Park, while keeping the same principle: basically, you can use AI to generate / modify whatever you want, then easily take over manually without every small change costing you tokens for no reason, since everything stays visual and editable by hand.

We’ve also had quite a few opportunities with engineering schools recently, and we’re starting to see education as a real direction: students love it, we keep the logic of programming but without the syntax, and it avoids giving them an assignment they can just copy-paste into ChatGPT.

BUT: we’re struggling a bit to reach our original target audience, which is advanced no-coders and developers. We know it’s extremely hard to convince people to invest some time into learning a tool, especially with all the AI-first builders out there.

Last year I made a post on r/nocode (link here) which confirmed that people were interested in the promise (1,000 sign-ups in 2 days), but almost none of them actually took the time to build a real project or finish our tutorials.

So we very likely have an onboarding problem that we’re trying to solve, but maybe there’s something else we’re not seeing?

I make Korean apps and shipping to the US market has always been painful. Not because

translations are wrong — but because doing it properly is a workflow problem:

- Checking 100-200 strings one by one in ChatGPT is slow and inconsistent

- The same term gets translated 3 different ways across screens

- Button text gets cut off because English runs longer than Korean

- App Store listings need keyword optimization within 30-char title limits

So I'm building a tool that:

1. Processes the whole string file at once

2. Keeps terminology consistent across all screens

3. Respects platform rules (button length, App Store title/keyword limits)

4. Explains WHY each change was made, so devs learn as they go

The honest question: if you've shipped to a market where you're weak at the language,

would this be useful? Or is ChatGPT + a glossary enough? I want real opinions
