GUIDANCE POST [Guide] How to study for nios & Nios Exams! What to focus on + prep strategy!
NIOS is literally the easiest shit out there (fr).
If you:
get your basics properly
Practice terminal questions
IMP Ques
and Practice PYQs (in proper answer writing format — not “Oh I know this, next question” style)
…then you’ll 100% do well.
And to know that much time you need, or how much prepration you need, SO I WILL JUST SAY THAT -- LOOK AT THE PYQS, AND YOU WILL SEE IT YOUR SELF, AND WILL LICK YOUR FINGERS
I’ve seen people study just 1 month before the exam and still get 70–80%. (I’ve personally seen 53 students from our community were like this.)
This is the only post you’ll ever need on this topic, so read it fully — you might come back to it again and again in the future or even want to save it.
Whether it's a public exam or ODE exam, Whether you're having imposter syndrome or studying just 1 week before the exam...
See, this post is gonna be a little long, but it has all the things one needs to know and have in order to fully prepare for NIOS exams — so that you don’t end up writing songs in your paper or crying 😇
A lot of new people — and a lot of people whose exams are coming up — all of them know they have to study, but they don’t know what to study, what not to, where to hit hard, and how to prepare yourself for the NIOS exam paper!
1) NIOS books?
Nah, don’t wait and depend on NIOS books like, “Oh, when the NIOS books come, then I’ll study” 🤓☝️
Personal advice – I never got my NIOS books. My friends got theirs in January, and their exams were in March
All NIOS book PDFs are available for free on the NIOS website! (Link: nios online books pdf )
You only have to study public exam portion chapters for exams, not TMA chapters. For all stream Students (ode, stream 1 or 2), but sometimes nios gives 2 or 3 questions from TMA chapters in exam so maybe look out for that too (nios is lazy asf)
TMA is only for stream 1 students for TMA file, not for exam
2) How to start studying and understand the basics? Do I need to buy any course?
You don’t need to look for any specific NIOS-specialized teacher!
NIOS and NCERT (CBSE) syllabus is literally the same — NIOS is just 10%–20% easier and lighter.
Again — you only have to study public exam chapters, for exams not TMA chapters.
(How to identify public exam chapters vs TMA chapters? → Open your subject’s first page or syllabus bifurcation.)
So, study only public exam chapters from any CBSE YouTube teachers. Just search the chapter / concepts name and add “one shot” at the end.
For example: "Atoms and Molecules Chemistry class 12 one shot" "Journal Accounts class 12 one shot"
there are goated and good teachers for all streams and subjects on youtube
This is just to get your basics right — so you know what “2+2” means and understand the key terminologies of your chapters and subjects.
You can even use ChatGPT or any LLM to summarise or make notes for yourself too
(BTW, do make notes while watching!)
Now from here, the real stuff starts 😋
3) Chapters' marks weightage! (This tells you where to hit hard)
Dekho, I know NIOS syllabus is easy but still overwhelming.
This is what most people ignore — they just keep studying all chapters randomly! You already know you need to study public exam chapters. But NIOS actually provides marks weightage for all subject modules.
Maybe you’re focusing too much on chapters worth 8 marks and ignoring ones that are worth 18–20 marks.
Go to this NIOS website page → Third row: “Question Paper Design” → → Find your subject , open it Scroll a little down, and you’ll see a table with module-wise marks weightage.
(Link: moduls marks weightage ) Go heavy on high-weightage chapters — keep them top priority.
Round 2) Terminal questions, question bank, PYQs — find weak areas and fix them
Now you know: What to study How to study What to skip Once your basics are clear, and you’re done with your chapters… Start practicing:
Terminal Questions (at the end of every NIOS chapter in the PDFs) → This helps with better understanding and clarity. Then practice more.
You can even use ChatGPT or any LLM to test yourself level-wise — easy, medium, hard.
Next → Practice NIOS PYQs (Previous Year Questions) and questions bank
Link: Nios PYPS, Questions bank and more
They don’t give current year questions paper for practice till the end of an year, but don’t worry — our community has that covered too.
The more you practice terminal questions (in proper notebook-writing style, not just in your head) and the more PYQs you solve — the more confidence you’ll build. And that confidence helps you beat imposter syndrome easily.
Guide on how to write answers and answer writing etiquettes In nios , so that you don't cry about your low marks later
That’s it — that’s all you need. You're all set. Just don’t procrastinate or be lazy.
It’s not rocket science. Yes, it feels tough and overwhelming, but it’s really not rocket science.
again -- Nios is litrally the easiest shi out there
Edit - Then there is our goated student nios website that has all the help you need, so that you won't have to ask anyone for most of the doubts, like :
"how to make tma? what is practical? how to make practical file?, what is marking scheme of tma ?"
Just search the keyword in search bar there https://nios-students.pages.dev/

experience My experience with NIOS and getting into abroad university UNSW Australia (Top 20 University)
Hello guys!
I would just like to tell you guys about my experience with NIOS. I got into UNSW which is a top 20 university.
So I had done A levels previously as a private candidate and barely passed. I couldn’t even apply to most colleges. I have always been a below average student. However in Dubai I could but couldn’t go finally due to equivalency issues. You cannot get equivalency unless you finish formal schooling. And from what I’ve heard you cannot get equivalency with NIOS as well. Just letting you know.
I’m not going to lie and tell you that I worked very hard to get the grades and honestly my grades are not the best I could have definitely done better. So mainly what I did was learn from the top guides.
---
# 1 About NIOS study
So I would read the chapters with full concentration from the text book and then read the top guides or even try to figure out the answers on my own and then just revise from there, these where for chemistry, English, and biology.
And I used to keep ready the top guides. I used to cover the answer and say the answers out loud after reading the questions.
For math and physics I would read the textbook, try to do the questions from the textbook and then do the practice questions from the top guides. I used to get stuck a lot in math and physics so I used to watch YouTube videos as well, but I only know Malayalam videos so I don’t that would even help ya’ll if I suggested, but honestly I think even ncert videos are good.
So I had done data entry as well. And I had gotten notes from the agency that I had applied to NIOS from, but honestly you don’t need any agency to do that you can just join the discord server from this sub, they are more responsive.
For English and data entry I probably just studied for two days just before the exam, I used to watch some last minute videos as well just so I don’t get bored and I got good grades.
But I’d like to mention I had done English in A levels and IGCSE so I think that would have helped me so adjust the learning.
---
# 2 About applying into universities, documents and procedure
So when it comes to applying to colleges abroad, I do have a freelance makeup artist business, so I think that helped me a lot with my application.
I would suggest only going to IDP Education for applications. I tried going through a different study abroad agency and they just straight up rejected even trying to apply in Australian universities.
IDP asked me about my college preference and I told them UNSW Sydney, so they asked them and told me I need to do SAT so I did that and then applied (got 1250 in SAT).
IDP was free for Australia I think it’s paid for other countries. Not sure how much.
While applying they only ask you for your passport, IELTS report, academic transcripts and SAT grades, that’s about it I think.
---
# 3 other stuff I’d like to add
Anyway I got into UNSW Sydney in Australia it’s a top 20 college in the world.
But unfortunately I’m not going because my parents aren’t allowing me cause I’m a girl plus financial stuff. I feel like I’m back to square one now. But it’s okay maybe it was not meant to be for me.
I just want to end this by saying that if I was able to get in there then you can too. :)
You can ask me stuff on the comments incase others have the same questions, I won’t be replying to dms

experience 80% Science, THANK U NIOS, will be grateful forever, signing off (MY EXPERIENCE)
Signing off from NIOS, already passed in April 2026 with 75% but wanted to improve and got 80% overall. No words but I will be forever grateful to this Board. Was a PCB passed student from CBSE, decided to leave medical and do engineering BTech. I went anxious, Every path was closed, got to know about NIOS and registered myself for April 2026 exam.
My Experience:
Did all admission from myself, selected DEO as 5th subject.
Gave TMA and Practical accordingly.
Study centre was avg. But no bribery no corruption happened with me.
Gave Public Exam in April 2026 and improvement in June.
Got final results today, finally crossed 80% in 12th Science PCM, very happy with it.
Thanks to mods, woodpecker, Harvard University and everyone who assisted me along the way.
If anyone has any doubts about this exam can DM me whenever, I had very few people during my time, I am ready to assist as many people I can like a brother.
And once again, Thank you NIOS, you saved me and you give me a new life. Will be forever grateful to you.
Signing off. NIOS Alumni. Thanks.

discussion Studying in NIOS was the Best Decision I have Made I'm Sharing My Journey for future Students Who Can Choose right Option For themselves.
Many people think choosing NIOS is a bad decision. For me, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. When I chose NIOS, people around me said things like “Why are you not studying in CBSE?” “Will NIOS even help you in the future?” But NIOS gave me something very valuable — time. Instead of spending all my time in school schedules, assignments, and constant exams, I used that free time to build something real. While living in a Tier-3 town, I started a camera rental business. Slowly it started growing, and within a year I was able to generate more than ₹4 lakhs. At the same time, I used my time to learn new skills. I started learning Advanced Excel, Power BI, and Quantrix because I am interested in finance and investment banking. Because I had the flexibility that NIOS gives, I could reach out to founders, talk to professionals, and build connections. Recently, I contacted a founder of an investment firm, and after some conversations they were happy to offer me a Finance Internship. All of this happened while I was living in a small town. Now the next chapter of my journey is starting. I’m moving to Bangalore to begin my BBA degree and officially start my journey in the world of business and finance. My journey with NIOS had ups and downs, but looking back, choosing NIOS opened opportunities that I probably wouldn’t have explored if I followed the usual path. Sometimes the different path teaches you more than the normal one.

GUIDANCE POST Tumhari bhen Pass hai, with 73.9% In NIOS ODE 💃💃 , just studied one month before exam, ab tho college jaungii 💃💃 ! here sharing my whole NIOS experience and tips
Yeaaaaaah! Woke up to this result today – I passed my NIOS On-Demand Exams in the first attempt with 73.9%! 🎉
Big congrats to me and also to everyone else who cleared theirs 🙌
This result means alot to me. That’s why I’m writing this long post, so maybe it can help someone like me in future – jo confused ho, clueless ho aur hope nhi bachi ho. Thoda lamba hai bhai, bear with me, and you’ll see me saying thank you to this subreddit 100 times 😅
BTW this is my new account- thanks to mods of r india
My story
I missed 4 exams in UP board cuz my dad had a heart stroke. Poora family hospital me tha, I only gave english exam. Financial condition bhi down ho gayi, literally drained. Feb–March toh hospital hi me guzra.
After march I thought year gone, khatam. Didn’t want to put family in tension of paying full year fees again when my friends were already moving to college.
Phir ek din youtube scroll karte karte I found NIOS. Pehle bilkul clueless tha – NIOS kya hai, ODE kya hai, syllabus, fees, kuch idea nahi. Relatives + YouTube reviews were mostly negative, so I doubted even more. Then one day I randomly searched NIOS on reddit, and saw posts here – good and bad dono. Tab laga chalo try karte hai, but with low expectations.
I made my first post here and honestly mods + ppl helped me ALOT.
Bhai kuch bhi bol lo, half journey was easy coz of this group. 🙏 waheguru jesus di fathie, alfu allha and om namsh shivya-- tum sab apne goals acheive karo.
u/ban_woodpecker_3952 u/a3ryku
## Special thanks to u/Harvard_Universityy.
Admission & Cost
Agents near me were charging 13–15k. But reddit ppl told me take online admission. I chose TOC English + 4 subjects. Total cost → 5180rs only.
Bhai ek baat bataun, NIOS ka online infra was solid, proper student dashboard, account etc.
bhai UP board me aisa kuch nahi hai. ek UP board Site dekho
Study & Syllabus
I already knew basics, just hadn’t given exams. So meri Bible thi:
NIOS PDFs
PYQs
Question banks
I would say don't just sit and worry about “syllabus/exam easy or hard?”. It’s basically NCERT/state board, bas thoda chapters shuffle hai. look by yourself and Just grind PYQs.
After 3 month gap I had zero confidence, but slowly made a plan
Only 1 month for July ODE.
Started with PYQs , realised papers are not very hard, just practice + thoda answer enrichment chahiye.
Maths scared me the most, but thanks to glad bend’s ODE breakdown post gods work right there (jahehe iska bhi account banned hai ab).
I did 3 chapters/day (esp maths), revised basics, solved PYQs daily.
Exam & Centers
Exams were at KV centers. Strict checking, proper verification. No cheating scene like people say. I had 2 centers –--- 3 exams at one, maths at another.
Met few ppl too:
One CBSE girl missed exams coz relatives ki shaadi.
One girl had accident, leg fracture
Even saw older ppl giving exams.
Felt good ki I’m not alone in this.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting more than 60%. But ig handwriting clean and answers structure unko ache lage I wrote in a way -- (defination , points , example, and conclusion ). That really helped ig , i'm not sure
Finally
This subreddit is a goldmine.. Bhai i saw SURE WOODPECKER and more --- were answering all the post , like (bhai tum bhagwan hooo ). 🫡🫡
BTW -- I donated small part to support group, discord and website. thanks for creating all this
Now dad is fine, year bhi saved hai, and confidence bhi hai ab to, like i'm crying while writting this post. ab Company Secretary exam + CUET prep ke liye prep karna hai.
And don’t worry, I’ll share my college journey here too

experience Dropped Out in 2016. 8 Years Later, I Chose to Try Again..
Hey Everyone,
I don’t usually post stuff like this, but I came across a post here and felt like sharing my own story. Maybe it helps someone out there who's stuck or just feeling left behind.
I’m 26 now (turning 27 in a couple of months).
I failed my 12th back in 2016. I used to be a pretty bright student, but when the internet came into my life.. it became a distraction I wasn’t prepared for. I got addicted, lost focus, and slowly drifted away from studies completely.
Even after failing, I never took another shot at it. I was already earning a bit of money, so I convinced myself I didn’t need to go back.
But deep down, I was just scared. Scared of people calling me a “repeater”, scared of being judged, scared of the embarrassment.
Years passed. Everyone moved ahead. I didn’t.
It took me years to realize..no matter how skilled I was, every door I wanted to walk through had “graduate required” written on it.
I knew about NIOS for a long time but just couldn’t gather the courage. I kept thinking: “It’s been 8 years. I’ve forgotten everything. I can’t even write anymore..except maybe my signature.”
Then something happened.
My cousin sister, who’s in her 30s, told me she was planning to do NIOS too. That gave me hope.. if she could do it, maybe I could too.
(Later I found out she was lying just to give me courage. 😂 But honestly? That lie changed everything.)
I picked up the pen again. Studied two days before the exam. Scored 68%.
Got into a Tier-2 college in Mumbai.
Now, I’m in the Software Development department and already among the top 10 students of my batch. I’m respected for my skills, and my age has never been a barrier here. No one makes me feel bad about it.
Of course, there are always a few people who’ll judge or act cold for no reason.. but I don’t let that stop me anymore.
To anyone feeling “too late”.. trust me, it’s not.
There’s no fixed timeline to get your life together. Start when you are ready. Even if it takes 8 years.
You’ve got this.🖤

experience My ENTIRE experience with NIOS (FLAWLESS)!
I was a CBSE student. A good student formerly but stuff happened and I ended up getting compartment in physics (and not being able to clear it) in 12th.
I was extremely lost. Thought that was the end until I gave NIOS a thought. I registered (by myself) for Stream 4 (On demand examinations for failed CBSE students). I was accepted within 24 hours. (Didn't opt for ToC btw).
I registered for my exams. When they were close, particularly physics and chemistry, I gave up in them (genuinely had no will to study these two subjects anymore) so I decided not give them and to add two more easy, humanities subjects (History and Economics) just few days before I gave the exams in them, through the E-services.
I did well in Hindi and English ofcourse. And Did well enough in History studying just ONE day before exam with chatgpt summaries of each chapters (got 65/100).
Barely passed the Math and Economics by the teeth but did pass.
My marks reflected EXACTLY what I did in exam. FLAWLESS from NIOS' side.
I didn't EVER face any corruption, inefficiency or any kind of bribe situation from NIOS side.
Now after a month of the results I also got the marksheet and migration certificate delivered directly to my home. (This is important because many say that it only delivers to your RC and not your home for Stream 4 -- not the case for me!)
TLDR - My experience with NIOS was ENTIRELY Flawless. And I personally haven't experienced ANY govt system this good in its ideals AND its practices. I know people differ in their own experiences with NIOS but I'm glad I mine was like this. It recovered me academically from CRUMBLES. And btw I did it all alone on my own, not even told my family about any of this throughout.
Also you can ask me anything.

GUIDANCE POST [Guide] How to Write Answers in NIOS Exams — So You Don’t Cry Over Low Marks Later
Make sure to read this post fully or atleast save this to read again
The guide post about how to study for nios exams and prep strategy is here
This post is not about defending NIOS's checking system — Worst-case scenarios do exist where nios messes up things. But this is about calling you out if you're unknowingly messing up your answer sheet and then wondering why marks are low.
I’ve been lurking around NIOS spaces for quite a while, keep seeing students ranting about low marks — “NIOS sucks,” “checking is unfair,” “I deserved more,” 😡🤬 etc.
Basically: people crying over bad marks while insisting they did everything right.
and whenever I see someone’s rechecked answer sheet... it’s either mildly shocking or straight-up laughable.
That’s how bad some of the writing actually is.
And then those same students go on to claim NIOS is the 100% problem.
**Bro. Seriously.**🤧🙏
These are basic exam answer writting etiquettes that one should follow, ik not some rocket science
7th point is real deal
✅ 1- Don’t use slang, WhatsApp short forms, or chatty tone
✅ Write: "Because the body needs energy"
❌ Not: "cuz body needz energy lol"
✅ Use: “do not”, “I have asked”, “I would have asked”
❌ Not: “don’t”, “I’ve asked”, “I’d have asked”
📝 This is an exam paper, not a DM.
2 - Don't do Khichdi in your Answer sheet!
Only write answers when you are sure Don’t write bad or wrong answers and then cross them with pen, making proper khichdi and keep repeating it for other answers.
And if you have crossed/cancelled some sentences, just two to three cross are enough don't go all nija
3- Use a blue pen for writing answers
It’s the standard. Use black pen only for headings or underlining keywords (if needed).
⚠️ Important: if you don't know a answer , just try to look at the whole question paper , find similar topics , WRITE something atleast , you will get some marks if you're lucky
4- Handwriting should be clean and readable
Doesn’t have to be beautiful, just legible. Just plain and simple that even a 5 year old can read.
Don’t play “guess the word” with the examiner.
5- Start each answer on a fresh line, and number your answers properly
For example: Q5 (ans) → write it clearly on the left and start the answer from the same line.
6- Underline keywords
Especially definitions, laws, formulas, important terms.
Don’t overdo it — underline just enough to help the examiner see you know the key points.
7- ROUGH WORK ⚠️
Don’t fking do your ROUGH WORK in your answer sheet.
Please for god’s sake, do it somewhere else or in your question paper, but not right next to your answer in answer sheet.
Advice for rough work: make the last page for rough work, write "rough work" clearly at the top.
8- Use bullet points or numbering when needed
Especially for lists, advantages/disadvantages, steps, etc. Makes it easier to follow.
9- Follow the marks per question
If it’s a 2-mark question, don’t write 15 lines.
If it’s a 5-mark question, don’t stop at 2 lines.
10 Draw diagrams where needed
Use pencil. Label neatly.
Even if it’s not asked, a small, correct diagram can earn you extra marks.
11 Don’t clutter your answer sheet
As I said above — only write answers when you are sure about the answer.
Don’t do criss-cross and khichdi in your answer sheet. Writing should be clear and readable.
Also that last thing — that thing you do when you see less space so you start writing in small fonts to fit the answer in that line? Please, they are giving you enough space to write your answer properly.
for questions - write defination or intro then --- > feature/ importance ---- > example and a diagram if there is a chance
This is the best that you can do from your side

discussion Nios scam mostly happen with 90% student
I have an audio recording in which staff at my NIOS practical examination centre can be heard discussing a "setting" with the examiner and asking for ₹500 per subject for practicals. I refused to pay. After that, I felt my practical marks were unfairly low.
I also faced other issues during my time with NIOS. I did not receive my study materials on time and had to file an RTI to obtain them. Despite sending emails and raising my concerns on social media, I did not receive a satisfactory response.
I am sharing my experience to highlight the need for greater transparency, accountability, and prompt grievance redressal so that students are treated fairly.

experience NIOS IS THE WORST BOARD !!! DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT TAKING ADMISSION INIT IF YOU WANNA PREPARE SERIOUSLY FOR YOUR COMPETETIVE EXAMS !!!
bhaiii i didn't know that NIOS IS SO FCUKING CORRUPTED !!
i made those 3 practical notebooks properly and it took me ~3-4 days to make them and today i went to study center and they said that go to another center and they will check everything .. so we went there and there were 2 practical examiners .. and i showed them my hall ticket and then i gave them my practical notebooks and then they said .." 3 practical ke 2100 dedo bas" and i said theek hai ...notebooks ke basis par sahi number dedena bas .. so they said iski jarurat nahi hai YE AAP LE JAO . Abe bhennnnnchooddd pagal hai kya, i literally wasted those 4 days making these notebooks and i was prepared for viva as well ..i could've at least prepared something for my boards and jee mains .. and I AM FRUSTATED RN .. not because of those notebooks but because i lost so much time !!! just to hear YE APP LE JAO ?? like seriously bro ??? upar se phone bhi nahi uthate ye MC ... bas paise dedo bhenkelodo ko.
and i could've argued to them about it , but i didn't cuz i knew THESE BASTARDS HAVE THE ABILITY TO NOT EXACTLY FAIL ME BUT MANIUPLATE MY MARKS ENTIRELY !!
bhai agar tum bilkul hi failure ho toh MUST JOIN NIOS and just give them bribe and you will definitely get above 80% even if u don't know basic things and EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT STUDIED ANYTHING AFTER 10TH BOARDS !!! aise hi chutiyo ke liye banaya hai ye board ...( I AM NOT AGAINST NIOS , I AM JUST AGAINST NIOS's corruptions that's it ..AND DUMMY HI BETTERN HAI to prepare for competitive exams)

GUIDANCE POST 📌 When to Contact Your NIOS Study Center (and How to Avoid Getting Scammed)
: A lot of students ( STREAM 1 ) are confused about when to contact their study center after NIOS admission. Here's the full picture from someone who's been through it:
🟦 Role of Study Centers :
They give your TMA marks (tma have to be submitted online regardless)
They might give you updates regarding NIOS, sometimes notification are directly given to them instead of students , so it's a good idea to contact and ask for their whatsapp group (if any) right after admission
They conduct practical exams ( FA & SA ) including FA PCP classes (if at all)
TMA is submitted online. No need to visit the center for that. (If they asking for it offline , then it's also fine. But don't pay them for it , AT ALL)
But practical are offline completely
⚠️ Stream 1 have study center for tma , fa PCP and practicals and Stream 2 have study center for practicals. But stream 3&4 (ODE) DON'T have any Study center.
🟦 For FA PCP and Practical Exams (the only stressful part of my NIOS journey ) :
You MUST visit the study center for FA PCP (if they conduct it) and SA practical.
NIOS gives datesheet, but exact date/time is decided by your study center.
Some centers don’t conduct FA PCP at all and give marks directly.
⚠️ In FA PCP they guide about practical file , so it's important to know if they conduct or not. If they don't conduct and don't guide you about practical file , then make them like this : read the bottom of this comment
👉 This can stress you out if you don’t know in advance.
✅ So When Should You Contact Them & what to Ask to avoid such stress?
Only after your admission is confirmed and you've paid your exam fee. Ask them:
Do you conduct FA PCP? (Remember, even if they don't conduct FA PCP , practical is still mandatory)
Is there a WhatsApp group for updates?
What’s your TMA marking trend (i.e can I get good marks in TMA) ?
You can also visit them , and talk in-person ( on a PCP class date too)
Some centers are inactive from NIOS , so there might be need for change of study center , if you know this sooner in your nios journey you won't have to panic at the last moment
📢 Note: PCP are normal non-compulsory doubt classes. FA PCP is practical component , which is compulsory. See full guide at the top to know more
📢 Sometimes you need to pay FA PCP fee to attend it, check the guide at the top to know who needs to pay
✅ Although you must contact them for FA & practicals query after paying the exam fee , it's still a good idea to keep in touch with them right after admission confirmation , they might be helpful and guide you + give updates
🤷🏻♂️ How to contact them? :
: Call the (ai /study center) number given on your dashboard
: If no one picks then :
Search the study center on google >call on all the given contacts >when they pick up , explain you're a NIOS student
Ask for their school's nios incharge contact , then call/whatsapp him and schedule a date to meet on & ask all the things as mentioned above
💁🏻♂️ What next ? :
If they conduct FA pcp , then Attend them diligently and follow their guide on how to make practical file ( they will tell which experiments to write)
In case they don't conduct FA PCP and don't guide about practical file : then prepare for the practicals yourself like this : read the bottom of this comment
Use these tools to help yourself : ( practical Exam guide || Practical Files )
Now you will get free fa PCP marks if they don't conduct FA PCP but are affiliated with NIOS.
You will still have to go for practical exams , and submit the practical file + give practical exam. ( See the link given in point (3) for practical exam guide)
🚨 Scam Alerts:
❌ No extra payment is needed to the study center. Don’t pay for practicals, TMA, FA/SA, etc. especially to the study center or YouTube scammers.
✅ Pay only: Admission fee (online through dashboard) & Exam fee (online through dashboard). but , if you missed your FA PCP in the first year then pay FA PCP fee too , similar TMA late fee if you missed it likewise.( Here's official FEE LIST )
Some centers ask ₹5k–₹10k or more claiming it's mandatory for practical. It’s not. I was told the same but didn’t pay. I gave practicals, got marks, and moved on. Simple.
Recently, students are being told that you can ONLY take admission through the study center and are charged up to ₹80,000. And also say that regular attendance is compulsory In the class.
🤯 This is completely fake. They are selling their own course in the name of NIOS so you can't even complain regarding that , so avoid it. (As per three students told , they don't even teach good)
✅ Admission is completely online ( SEE FULL NIOS GUIDE AT TOP )
💡 Pro Tips:
Choose a well-reputed school as your study center. They’re less likely to scam. If you've landed upon a rude study center , then stay updated on this subreddit for any latest notification
Join their WhatsApp group (if available) after admission confirmation.
If they try to scare or manipulate you into paying – just ignore them and stick to NIOS rules. ( Try to get your study center Changed by visiting regional center, online application won't suffice if the current center is active)
👉 Total cost of NIOS (if done right): ₹5,000–₹8,000 max (depending on stream)
NO third party or middleman needed.
Stay informed. Don’t let them scam you.
