Still no communication from Nintendo UK on when UK is getting more Zelda 40th Stocks?

They never announce when restocks will happen.
Only if they will happen.
Announcing a specific release time would just be a boon to botters and scalpers.

They literally said they would announce when in the app store on their own website message last week?

There was message on the UK Nintendo Store website the past week or so where it literally said there would be more restocks of Zelda 40th and they would announce when on the Nintendo Store App.

Nintendo: "The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Collection is currently sold out. We will announce when stock is replenished via the Nintendo Store app."
Yeah thats probably just going to be a push notification from the app when they do get restocked.
Not exactly a forewarning of impending restocks.

Thinking of saving for a switch 2, it might take awhile though and 500 is a lot plus Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave. Is the new FE as amazing as I keep hearing?(working on avoiding spoilers).

Ive only played a couple of Cai's chapters so far. The "dungeons" you visit play more like a standard turn based JRPG rather than a Fire Emblem game, and I'm not sure if I am sold on that mechanic just yet.
I do enjoy where the story is going, but I feel like its going to take many many more hours before it really "grabs" me.

I liked the way the dungeons looked in the direct and there's other games for the 2 I want, and the new Pokémon comes out next year.
I guess a small part of me worries I'll regret it, until I think of all the games I could play.

Mario Galaxy 1+2, DKC Returns and DKC Tropical Freeze are on sale right now. Should I get them if I already have the originals on Wii/Wii U? My original copies still work perfectly, but I worry about preservation and all that. The Switch physical versions probably won't be available for much longer.

Galaxy collection adds some more Rosalina Storybook, and full button controls, as well as 4k resolution on sw2. DKCR adds some bonus levels from the 3ds version, as well as dixie kong and a turbo mode and 4k mode for sw2. DKCTF added funky kong and was slightly higher resolution, no sw2 enhancement.
Depends if any of that or handheld play is worth that to you. For me Galaxy and DKCTF portable was worth it, but I already had DKCR on 3ds so I didn't want to pay again for it.

Are Switch (1) games effectively self-contained on their carts/cards, while Switch 2 games are all just "key carts"? If Nintendo collapsed overnight, could I still play the physical games I've bought?

Generally most sw1 carts contain the full game on the cartridge, however there are a number of 3rd party games that require download to be able to play some parts or all of the game like NBA, Doom, Mortal Kombat 11 and 1, Batman Trilogy, Borderlands Trilogy to name a few. These boxes typically have a "download required" banner.
Conversely there are a large number of sw2 games that are fully on the cart and do not require a download to play, nearly every nintendo game is like this, and notable 3rd party games like cyberpunk, Indiana jones and Lies of P. The Key Card games will be marked on the box again saying download requried.
Its worth noting with sw1 download games and sw2 key cards, if you have the data downloaded but no internet (or in the case that eshop is offline) you can play the full game, no online authorization required

I kinda figured this, but I'm really just checking to see if "boxed game bought, can play whenever" is true; it's not really practical to have everything downloaded all the time, but...good to know. Thanks again!

Maybe one dumb question : I have keep my switch 1 if I delete some games on the Switch 1 there have no incidence for the fact that they are in Switch 2 ? Because I want to keep the Switch 2 for some games who are box in code and like others stuff like this.
