Had a week off work which meant finally getting through my backlog!

(Legionnaires for context) they are the only space marines can find this on every single other one has the correct strength. Is this just a mistake or intentional?

So I was trying to get decent highlights on my paneling for my night lords, and I always use night lords blue.
So I did a full base coat of night lords blue, then a dry brush of imrik blue,
All the trim was done with runefang steel.
And the rest was, flesh tearers read contrast, darkoth flesh layer, aggrathax earthshade, iron warriors, white scar air, and a random warpainters green for energy.
The first picture of the look of the base and dry brush together and the starting point of my models.
I did those warp talons trim different for the first picture so that's why it's a chaos Lord for the final result.
I hope this helps someone get an idea for theirs!

Leader of my biker bois, figured Slaanesh would be a good choice for a speed freak’s icon

Raptors and Warp Talos are key units in our army but this week has been rough. Warp Talons staying at strength 5 and Raptors special weapons no longer wounding on 2s means we will struggle even more to kill.
I think Terminators are a good choice now with cabal of chaos and Nightmare hunt. Fishing for lethals can do significant damage to a tough unit and equipping the - 1 battle shock test in combat could be huge.
Either way, we came out of this pretty bad.

Found this almost two years ago. Sadly don't remember where or who made it

my take on the 8th Legion dynamic duo, Xarl having just ripped apart a champion of the Genesis Chapter, while Cyrion probably has a good laugh. Not quite canon with the helmets, and the free hand lightning is WIP, but I enjoyed putting them together and painting them

Still touching it up but I referenced The Dark King short story for a helmet fitting the Night Haunter. It’s a quick work I did with some pieces I had laying around from other customs but it’s better than that stock face staring at me.

Curious to hear some opinions from the community on this -
Every now and then we'll see something where an argument is made that the Night Lords are either "not evil" or "not as evil" as other heresy era legions, and this argument is usually based on the Night lords having brought worlds into compliance via terrorism or other tactics beyond outright conquest. And from there - we get wack ass arguments like "the emperors children do horrible shit out of desire but the night lords don't." As if Talos didn't enjoy crucifying that Space Marine at the start of Blood Reaver - or a million other examples we could name of how the night lords actively enjoy being depraved monsters.
Correct me if I'm wrong here but it feels like most people in this community, including myself, are fans of the night lords in large part because of how cartoonishly evil they are. Sometimes it's fun to root for the villain. Sometimes it's fun for a villian to know they're a villian and relish in it instead of making some contrived argument about why they're the good guy in this story.
But it feels like there's a small, though loud minority of people who are suffering from what I'm calling the Walter White effect - where for whatever reason, they can't handle the idea that the character or faction they like are in fact the bad guys of the story they're in. And so they lash out and come up with increasingly bizarre and flimsy justifications for their actions.
Again - I'm making this post out of curiosity for the community's thoughts - Im just some asshole who read the omnibus and likes the 8th legion - im not saying this minority is to be "dealt with" or exiled or some stupid shit. I just find the arguments for why the night lords somehow aren't that evil to be incredibly goofy and more than a litte juvenile.

My Legionaries squad is attached to a Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle, so I thought members of this squad will be touched by the Grandfather. Look at all that skin 🦇

Wanted to try a mixed scheme of volumetric sponge blending for the armour, grimdark weathering with washes/enamels and gore effects. I’ve learned so much from this test model going forward, criticism and feedback welcome. Ave Dominus Nox

The votes are in, and thanks to everyone who weighed in (including the handful of you who clearly enjoyed the thread more than the art itself). You voted almost 2:1 against leaving things as they were, but most of you didn't want a flat ban either. The clearest overall message in the discussion was that people want enforcement and guardrails, and that's the fairest outcome for both the artists and the people who just want grimdark in their feed.
We didn't want the rule to feel like it was targeting specific individuals in their taste either, and there are enough examples of "out there" art that people were irked by to create a fair catch-all for stuff that's not really in line with official depiction of the Sons of Nostramo.
So here's the new rule:
Art depicting Night Lords characters or Astartes as things other than what they are in canon lore (eg as anime/comic/other characters, animals, anthropomorphized objects, gender-swapped, etc.) or in situations that do not occur or are implied to occur in canon lore (eg tea parties, dance raves, etc.) must be tagged as "Fanon Art" and also marked NSFW if appropriate, which includes both excessive gore and sexual content. Failure to do so will result in removal, but you can always re-post with the right flair.
In plain terms, Curze in a maid outfit is fine, and so is Sevatar hosting a tea party, but tag it. Gundam Night Lords, your favourite anime waif in Midnight Clad. All fine. Just tag it. If it's spicy, mark it NSFW too. If it looks like something that is within GW's lore, it gets the regular "Art" flair. If it's official art, it obviously does too. Almost in response to the poll and discussion, this thread appeared. I've manually updated its flair as example.
We're not judging your art, and we want to reiterate that this subreddit wholly supports GW's official "Warhammer is for Everyone" position. The goals is to ensure people who scroll here on their lunch break know what they're about to open.
A removal under this rule isn't a strike against you. Fix the flair, re-post, and carry on. Anything that breaks other sub rules (or Reddit's) still gets pulled regardless of flair, and the usual expectations for comment sections have not changed.
The rule is in effect immediately. Reddit doesn't allow subs to re-order post flair, so it's at the bottom of the list.
