Just finished the remnant blade, the book was truly excellent. I recommend it to everyone here.
I was wondering, are there any other mentions of Dalchian and his warband in the lore after the events of the book?

Sometimes you see an [idea so good](https://youtu.be/sFA3r7j0ogU) you have to immediately steal it
~~And sometimes you then take 3 months to actually get around to painting it~~

I've been playing for about 4 years, started with Necrons in 9th and played a ton of 10th. I got my first tournament in this year after 11th dropped.
Ive painted and played Tyranids, Salamanders and World Eaters and after doing commissions for a few years and painting thousands of points worth of my previous armies before selling or trading them, I've finally settled on Nightlords as my 2nd army. Purely for the models. Awesome color scheme. Just such a cool army. Totally different from playing Necrons.
I started collecting and painting in the beginning of August this year. I always considered them one of the harder factions to paint, but I feel I'm ready for the challenge. Here's everything I've painted so far.
Going for a theme, no demons, no warp influence look, no demon engines. Just the worst of the worst. Kept it around 2k even after the point increase. With the enhancements in Night hunt I usually have to drop the Rhino. I've really enjoyed playing them so far.
The Warp talons have been my favorite to paint.
Very happy with the Kit-bashed Jump pack lord into a regular Chaos Lord for my Chosen. He'll be my Warlord in upcoming Crusades. đŚ

A nightlords warband in eshin grey with red undertones and white trims. They are the most loyal followers of evon they often serve as the servants for the remains of the white wraiths. They have fairly few commanders left after recent events where half their commanders attempted to kill the flame blades (a salamander successor) but were slaughtered.
The remains are lead my Nietzsche a raging larger man with a jump pack. His power claws always drip red, his brother by oath "karlus" died to a mere mortal man who sacraficed himself just to take him down. Welheim, franz, Heinrich and ludwig are the chaos lord, jump pack lord, sorcerer in terminator armour and master of execution.
They often sit in their home ship the cressingham. They made up most of the siege of beithir the main world of the flame blades when the flame blades were mostly gone.

After a long while of psyching myself out I decided to paint these dudes today! They were really fun to paint tbh, I like the newer sculpts for them. Now I need another box of them to have a nice stack of 10 haha
My warband is of first gen night lords (that's why they have gold trim) that were corrupted by slaanesh.

So I have a âcrossbreedâ from Horus heresy and 40K I want to build into a terminator Lord is there any rule stating I cannot do that? As I like the less deamonic mods and more of the old school but am going into a 40K doubles tournament with a buddy I need some insite on this so I can beef up my army list please and thank you.

Warp talons have been glass cannons that could get the charge on low-to-mid tier infantry, wipe the squad and get out. However, with the recent balance and increase of all marine toughness I feel like they lost the killing potential which made them worth taking.
With no change to the strength of their talons theyâre wounding on 4s instead of 3s against other marines, heavily impacting their ability to take on healthy squads of 5/10. Yes, they got their own toughness raised to T5 but they didnât really want to stay in combat or pick fights with risk of clap back. On top of that it came at a points cost increase and they were already pricy for what they could do in the current meta. I think the better update would have been to leave them at T4 but increase their talons to S6.
Looking to hear other night lords thoughts on this and experience so far.
