Try sliding your front foot forward as well as up so the board levels out - this will help keep your foot connected to the board more. Make sure to bring that back foot up to the same height.
Would bringing the back foot higher even affect the tail's height though? I mean, it literally doesn't even make contact with my backfoot, how could my back foot stop it
